Went and ordered both volumes of the Color Cube collection's because of you! You need to be getting some kind of commission from that. 🙂 I'm amazed at how the wet and dry colours changed so much in this set of samplers. I love doing cubes in my mark making....

You could maybe try making some stencils of your own. It’s quite easy, actually. Try coating a piece of paper with gloss medium or even glue, dry, and then cut, punch or poke out your own design. Or, really, use anything as a sort of stamp repetitively, in rows, columns, etc. For example, rolled up paper, rubber bands, pencil erasers, drinking straws, bubble wrap, etc. dipped in paint or ink, and you’ll get the same effect.. 😊
Hi, soooo loving your work and u are really helping me as a newbie with watercolour!! Just a discovery tho, the BEST TAPE that NEVER rips and is cheap as chips is ELECTRICAL TAPE -(black yellow or, red plastic stuff), it sets down super easy, is perfect margin size and comes off no problem at all! Thanks for your great challenges!

I love the one on the bottom right, where you made the spiral marks with the liquid graphite. Those marks gave it such a 3 dimensional look. Depth. 😊

Denise, I'd love to see you actually tape down you paper one day. Seems easy enough, but seems to be challenging for me to keep them straight ad have the edges be even 🙂

So I got together with my sisters to paint pictures. After we were done i was thirsty and since I’m so used to drinking water I grabbed to glass of water that we were rinsing our brushes with and took a sip. As soon as I realized what I did and ran to spit it out!!! So glad I did not swallow it!!! 😖

Denise have you tried the schmincke graphite from charred seeds and stones of fruit? I just now saw them in Jackson's as I looked everything you mention and add it to my growing art supply needs lo!. They are pricey for me but if they are worth it I might look to getting 1, I saw 3, grape, peach and I can't remember the third.

Absolutely love all you do. A question... I'm struggling with the oh so scary phase of mark-making. Do you have a recommended resource for the commitment challenged? Looking specifically for types of marks. As a life-long doodler, suddenly my brain freezes 🙈

I love getting color palettes off Pinterest too - if you search “color palette” - there are tons and tons of them. I plan on using some of those as inspiration too. I just liked the cards because they are easy to hold and use while making some art. I try to be on the computer less if I can. 😊
