Great video! I don't work with abstracts, but this would be a fun way to test out some color palettes. :) I'd be tempted to spray the one with Neocolors with some water and see if you prefer it getting diluted a bit.

I liked it although your two favorites were mine as well. Denise, I have a question and hope you can help me; the kuretake ink that you use, do you think it could be used with a stencil or is it too runny? I found it is being sold in my country and I would like to get it but I do not have the nib thing that you have to write and draw, so.. good for stenciling? Love the brigh shine of that ink. I have tried the ink for stencils... and it really is very thin and just didn't work that well for that for me. You can use metallic acrylic paints. You just want it to be a bit thicker. 😊
It is cute isn't it? It came as a set of 2 and the other one is blue... they have magnets on the back and stick to the refrigerator so you can grab them to read labels. I think I found them in a kitchen store a few years back. 😊
Gansai Tambi paints need to have a fair amount of water added to the pan, work it until it’s creamy because they have honey as a binder. That is why your gold is not working, their golds are very good! These paints are between gouache and watercolour as they are used for illustration as in greeting cards etc., in China, they are very versatile when you learn their properties! Very pretty palette you are using!💕🇨🇦
I ran out if ideas to paint for the past couple of days so I'll definitely try your way even though I'm not that much intro abstract art, but I do think the process is very relaxing 🥰
The aubergine neo 2 marks made me think of architecture and scaffolding. Have you ever used some of your heart promptx on video. I know you put your sponges in water, but do you clean your stencils?

What do you do with all your art? Just curious as I'm struggling to store all mine. Not good enough to sell, don't need anymore greeting cards, no room for more pictures on my walls.....any ideas?
Since I make classes and videos - I keep mostly everything. I use them for samples, examples, photos. That’s why I like working on paper too… easier to store in clear art sleeves. The ones that I don’t think are great go into my junk art bin and I use pieces later to cut up and make other things with like junk art collages. 😊
So, abstracts are not "real paintings" then. I never knew that. Yes' I do know what you were trying to say. However, as an abstract painter myself, I hear a LOT of comments such as, "Why don't you do a real painting, instead of these childish daubs?" I overhear it in galleries too. Words and descriptions are very important. An unfortunate choice of words can give a negative meaning which was unintended. Still, I love your work and I have just subscribed to your channel, keep it up..
I know!! I kick myself for saying that! Sorry!! It was more of my childhood thoughts coming out and feeling a bit like not measuring up to how much I admired her painting my whole life. Definitely an unfortunate turn of phrase as an abstract lover/painter myself 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ Thank you! ☺️

It is a fantastic way to play with color palettes! I do little samplers to do that as I don't love plain swatching out of colors... 😊

There is a play list for the prompts you can check out! Not as many as the color challenges, but there are a few. I do not clean my stencils.

The arteza paint you used here, are they water color or gouache?
