Tretinoin is supposed to cause irritation. That's not a reason to stop using it. I was super red, flaky and irritated for over a month. But it was worth it. Now my skin is used to it and looks a lot better.
You should do a video about Bakuchiol. Its a natural retinol found seed and plant. I'm still a little skeptical about retinol and I'm not saying you're wrong but I still don't think its really for everyone. I'm leaning toward more anything natural and organic since it doesn't have a lot of side effects.
I can do a longer video about bakuchiol. Although it's often called "nature's retinol" It doesn't really work in the same way, and there is not much data on its benefits so it's tough to compare it to retinol which is well studied.
Hi doctor great video! Do you think I can use a low concentration of retinol as a 15 year old? I have no acne but I have really deep and evident smile lines in my resting face. I know you mentioned you prescribe it to young patients for acne but would it have any negative side effects for the sole purpose of wrinkles?
I started using tretinoin (it was called Retin A back then 👵🏼) at 17. It was a gel form and it worked great. I started it the summer after junior year and I lived in SoCal so…lots of sun. I just realized that was 30 years ago omg 😢 Hey, at least I started early. My daughter started using it around the age of 20. Her skin is perfect and I’m kinda envious
I have acne nd i am using a tretinoin nd azelaic acid mixed formulation cream should i use regularly or should i give atleast one day gap because i am not getting irritation out of it nd also I have been given a gel formulation with azelaic acid 10% nd tretinoin with 0.025% mixed formulation gel but it is very less in quantity can i buy separately one azelaic acid 10% ointment and tretinoin 0.025 cream seperately in order to get good quantity?
Excellent video!
Thank you very much!
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 I use in the summer, everything Dr said is true

Can Isotretinoin cause chronic dry eye after treatment? (since it impacts the meibomian glands)
I wish you were in Pensacola Florida do you offer telehealth?

There's likely no downside to using a lower strength over the counter retinol at 15

It's okay to use in a combined formula. Using it daily should be fine as long as you aren't getting irritation.
