What is the perfect time for Run, Meditate, and brush teeth… you know like what is the perfect time about health habit in general (even more than what I already said)🔥
Eating 1-2 meals all my life, i dont need more, and i love small portions, and drinking water afterwards. And if you dont eat some days body is reseting your system. Also avoid processed food, it's expensive and not good! And what Sinclair said, hunger and coldness is also beneficial.
Whatever FDA says I try to avoid it. I found myself in this rabbit hole of so many industry lies when I read "The 23 Former Doctor Truths". Its no wonder why Doctor left her career.

Boy… chewing is a thing… crunching..all part of letting your body know you are eating…. Soft proteins liquids ones do not give you what your teeth give you… just my experience in getting rid of poor foods and finding by doing so I wasn’t hungry three or four times a day… that was a revelation and so was the weight loss… like your information… always useful
That's interesting. I started intermittent fasting several years ago and it has become a habit. I've only been eating once or twice a day for several years now. That and I'm not very fond of sugar or carbs either. Maybe these two things together are why people have mistaken me to be as young as 18 in recent years even though I'm 31 years old now. The number of times I've been assumed to be a college student is actually funny.
My gf tried intermittent fasting, 2 meals per day. In one month she lost so much weight, looked slim and beautiful than ever. But later she faced weakness after 2 months, she grew pale, her haemoglobin dropped low, and she experienced fainting too often. Initially she resisted to these signs but I urged her to switch to her normal routine and eat 3-4 meals a day protein rich. She did the same and now she is again all energetic and cheerful. Some people aren’t meant to follow 2 meals per day. I dont want me or my partner to live hundred years weak and pale, instead give me only 60 years but with full vigour and liveliness.

Sleep is more important than eating. So instead of fasting in the morning, eat and get that 20 minute nap in. Also, some of us have to eat more often as we’re burning more calories.
Exactly right. Can get all the rest you'd like which is vital, but you'll still find yourself dreaming about food in an unhealthy way if your deficit is too drastic or you aren't refueling your muscles !
Use to have a lot of respect for Sinclair until he sold out to Big Pharma. It’s unfortunate bc he was a sound voice in longevity but now it’s hard to take him seriously knowing his agenda is purely monetary, and not for the good of humanity as he professed early in his career.
Did Respire or Dr. Huberman receive any form of compensation for interviewing Dr. Sinclair? The softball questions lack follow up and seem promotional.
Several other guests of this podcast have stressed the critical importance of protein for longevity. No way could you get the daily amounts they recommend in 1 or 2 meals a day. How do approach this conflict?
Noticed the same thing. Quoting Dr. Sinclair: "Definitely try to skip a meal a day. That's the best thing." How can this be said to be "the best thing" for everyone? Lacking context, this seems irresponsible to advise categorically.
Damaged kidneys do not like protein...Very low protein vegan diet with pharmaceutical grade Amino Acids. Stable for 15 years. Too many carbs, I know, but can't be perfect. Our ancestors lived shorter lives *on average* because of much higher infant mortality, infections, lack of antibiotics, effective medicines, etc.-not due to diseases of aging (cardiovascular disease, hypertension, diabetes, etc). It was not like people grew old and died at 50. Many lived into ripe old age, although they were perhaps the lucky ones. David’s idea is that our bodies evolved over millennia to endure adversity and hunger, and that many of our modern diseases perhaps result from an overly easy, sedentary lifestyle.
Is dying gracefully not assisted by being healthy and happy up to your death - being mentally present and physically able to take care of yourself at an old age so you aren’t a burden to family members. Death may well come for us all but when it does and how we live up to the point is something else.

Coldness turns on your parasymphatic nerve. Also known as the vagus nerve, it is called the rest and relax state.
Also cold showers boost dopamine production. Your body craves dopamine and a cold shower is a healthy way to get it.
