    When I visited Dehradun & Mussorie, google maps showed me the route through gullies & narrow roads instead of the main road which was very frustrating. I don't understand why google maps haven't provided any option to filter out these types of roads yet. Another instance, we searched for a place where we wanted to visit and it showed two different places in two different smartphones at the same time in two opposite directions, we followed one of them & when we reached there we got to know that the place wasn't there. Infact it was in the opposite direction. So we reached there at the very last minute literally otherwise we wouldn't get entry. Google maps has serious reliability issues especially in the hilly regions.

      @@roninr8199 In general google maps works properly but sometimes it gets confused itself and also in some remote areas it is not very effective. I always select car only even when I'm riding a bike. Another issue I face is that most of the times it doesn't track the whole route which I follow , it just connects the starting point to the destination in a straight line or partially follows the route because of which the distance travelled it shows is less than the actual one, so timeline data is not very accurate . I tried using MapmyIndia for a month or so & figured out that some times google maps work better whereas sometimes MapmyIndia works pretty well.

      @@ruggymango oh OK. In my case the only problem with Google maps is if road is closed or one way then still it shows and I will have to go around literally 3 to 4 km.. Looks like Google India completely relies on people. We should mention has road blocked. I ride regularly between Chennai and hyderabad and had no issues in highway. I have noticed in Malaysia they have 100% accuracy even with accidents on highway and warns to go slow. I think it has to do with satellite too. Uber outside India locks pin point. I never used to get a call from driver asking for address. They come to point exactly. Where else in India there an error of atleast 200 meters.

    10/15 percent of the bikes cost can be put aside for gear if one has the budget to do it. So the more expensive and powerful the bike, better the gear.

    Correct Ranjith Ji. Good gears are must for riding. It is understandable that on a daily commute to office and field work, riding with armour jacket and knee guards is practically difficult but least a good helmet and gloves are a must. Also people has to remember to buckle up the helmet irrespective of speed and what they ride. If not clipped It is as good as not wearing a helmet. Next video let's see how many do not put helmet properly. 😀

    Sir, regarding Google Maps, I own a tigor in Bengaluru it always shows me shortcut (interior routes) , even though I have a small car it sometimes becomes very difficult to drive in those narrow roads. I have always imagined what would happen if I ever upgrade to an SUV. Like you said there should be an option to select main roads only or some wider roads.

    A little bit of advice here Ranjit Sir. You should always fill premium fuel with 95 octane number or higher because that’s recommended by the Triumph guys otherwise the fuel pump will simply damaged anyway due to the LEAD factor😜

    • @GeekyRanjitRidesVlogs
      @GeekyRanjitRidesVlogs  2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      The Triumph service guys specifically told me not to put premium fuel till the first service, I'll check with them after first service if I can occasionally use Speed 99 once a while.
      BTW the regular petrol that we get is 91 RON unleaded in India even in my BMW 330i I use that and it's good enough. I had put Speed 99 in my BMW car once and it did make a slight difference in pickup but the price gap was Rs 24 per lt and it didn't make any sense. I just put certified BMW additives once every 2500 kms in my BMW car and it runs like a charm on the regular 91 RON unleaded petrol that we get in India.
