- I talk about the riding safety gear that you should get if you are riding a bike or plan to get a new bike these are the essential riding gear that I feel you should invest in. I talk about helmets, riding gloves boots and jackets in this video and also share my experience.

The helmet is the MT Thunder 3 helmet but I might be upgrading to a Carbon Fiber helmet in the future as after fixing the GoPro, intercom etc on the helmet, it becomes quite heavy, it's okay for 30-40 Kms rides but longer than that I feel the weight.

Hey Ranjit! Just a quick note, the main protection that you are looking for in a riding boot is lateral reinforcement. The flexing (as shown in the video) is natural considering the fact that we also need to be able to walk around in these boots unlike on racing boots which are not designed for any comfort. So the main thing we are looking for in these riding boots are lateral protection (along the length and at the ankle and shin).
This video actually seemed like a practical class in my University ❤️
If your budget for motorcycle is 3 lacs then you should go for a bike worth 2.5 lac and rest 50k should go to gears.

Rs 35-40K.... the thing in India is good proper riding boots cost a lot for some reason.
Easily the riding boots itself would cost half of the budget. Jackets and pants would be around 20k. Helmets with d-ring would be around 8 to 10k.
I got dominar 400 in 2020 during lockdown and yet to get riding gears.. Did around 5k ride so far between Chennai and hyderabad and recently checked rynox store in hyderabad. I ended up spending 30k in bike accessories itself and still not yet finished.
I would say 50k is not at all sufficient might be more than a lakh has to be kept aside. I am so glad that I did not buy ktm adventure 390 and would spend rest on accessories and safety gears.

I feel currently the most economical choice for riding boot is the royal enfieldxtcx boots, they are essentially tcx boots rebranded by royal Enfield and cost like 3-5k less than buying tcx boots through importers.
There's a model which is essentially the tcx Baja boots priced around 20-22k on the royal Enfield website,as far as my research goes it is one of the best adventure boots one can buy.

Personally I am using Mt blade 2 helmet, Scala Viper Gloves, Solace Sabre V4 Jacket, Bbg racer boots.
Planning to buy riding pants later.
I ride 2022 Dominar 400.
Generally riding boots are more expensive than other gears.

Fort Nine has a good video on beginner safety, he recommends helmet , gloves and boots, others including jackets may be skipped , as statistically you are protected against most of the injuries with the three.

I'm planning to buy riding jacket as well, I'm confused between rynox and royal enfield please suggest which one is better. My take on these accessories is one should buy proper accessories at once rather than buying cheap once first then good. That's why I haven't bought any jacket as of now 🙈
I've a budget of 15k for jacket please suggest if i should go for re, rynox or something else.
For Riding Jackets you can look at Rynox higher end models... they are pretty good. Leather jackets also offer good protection but in our hot summers, we simply can't wear them.
Sir we need a in depth video if helmet because it's most important gear.. may be an analysis with comparison of some popular helmets like axor smk RE between than 3k to 5k range

Check the Gaerne Riding Shoes, they make the best quality riding shoes particularly the Gaerne SG-12 model.
You can try fly racing boots don't remember the exact model but it cost around 17k, worth the money for sure. Actually i saw a footage of a rider crashing he was wearing the same and that saved him.
Shoes are the next thing after helmet and gloves!
I use vega helmet half faced as I ride a lot in city.

Hi Ranjit...Nice informative videos. I was actually confused in the riding gear and how much to spend. Your collection is quite budget friendly and I will go ahead with similar options. Are riding boots really comfortable for daily riding. Or should I go with something like woodland shoes to protect my legs while riding in the city. Also is RYNOX the best accessory provider or only because it is more famous everyone suggests to buy RYNOX. Can you please advise on SOLACE BRAND riding accessory. I will buying my stuff within 2 to 3 days. Please do reply and suggest.

Hey Ranjit, I don't have a proper bike but I won a TVS Ntorq 125 scooter. Maximum speed I drive hovers between 40-70 kmph depending on city and open roads.
Please make a video if possible for people who just owns a scooter like me and suggest what kind of riding gear they should have.
Get a helmet and a jacket and build from there.
I ride daily 18 kms to college crossing the whole city and also approx 8 kms on highway.. Back home it is 36 kms daily for me everyday.. I wear my axor riding jacket and put it inside my bag after reaching classes.. I'm probably the only one within few 100 kilometres in my area who wears a riding jacket for college😅

Not sure if I missed it in your previous videos but how good is that bluarmor helmet mount ? Did you have to use additional adhesives ? Seen a lot of videos using mseal which looks weird , this one you have looks neat !!!
No I didn't used any extra glue or adhesive, it comes with 3M sticker and just using it with the same.
Sir make video on royal enfield delivery related ongoing issue.most of the bookings got delayed to 7-8 months.and company didn't do anything to resolve this.moreover they are contiously taking new bookings.

looks like you have to add 50K to 100K on riding gear as well. So your 2 lacs ex showroom bike becomes minimum 3.5 lacs on road.

Sir which model of mt helmet you are using?? Does wind noise is bothering you? I bought smk one despite having option of mt but wind noise is quite disturbing in smk.
my MT Thunder 3 is okay with wind noise upto 80-85kmph.... the pricer helmets have better protection from wind noise but best to get ear plugs if wind noise is a issue as constant wind noise can lead to permanent hearing loss in the long run.
I never imagine, that so.much stuff needed to ride a bike.
Ranjit bhai please recommend Helmet Below 6,000/- for Powered Eye-Glass Wearers. I go to office, in my current SMK Helmet (3.3K cost). But want to upgrade since I bought it 2 sizes Big and my eye glass does not fit easily.. plz recommend
Price of gears certainly determines what you buy...So as people say, put 10% of bike cost on gears.
I personally have an Axor but LS2 are equally good.
Yeah LS2 helmets are also very good.

Sir, Please review riding gears as per different budget. Eg: Helmets under 3k, under 5k, under 10k.. etc similarly, Gloves under 3k, under 5k, etc.
I'll be getting my first bike next month and i dont want to ride it without proper safety gear. However, my budget is slighly tight as i have to buy 2 of everything! For myself as well as for the pillion. And i dont want to compromise on pillion's safety!! Do the expense would be double for everything.
Kindly suggest riding gears under different budget. Also, till what budget can we compromise? Thank you.
Helmet under 3k is AXXIS SEGMENT,
Gloves under 3k is AXOR STRIKER GLOVES
You should at least go for HJC helmets Ranjit sir. That MT helmet can’t give you good protection if you fall because i know trident 660 is really a powerful bike.

It is the number one reason for me to not use it regularly

Use a micro-fiber cloth with slightly damped water to clean it, there are also Visor cleaners in the market. I clean the visor overtime before I go for a ride, If you clean it regularly hardly takes a minute to clean it.

Please get a proper riding pant. They're abrasive and have hip protection. Knee guards or jeans won't help in that case
