- I had given the Triumph Trident 660 for it's first service and I ride it for the first time after completing the first service and we also cross the 1000 Km mark. So I share my raw impressions what I found on this bike and what's different after the first completing the first service you can also call this the ownership review of the trident 660 after riding it for 1000 kms.

8:52 I think it is best to leave the tyre pressure at the manufacturer recommended limits :). They would have recommended it for a reason. Offcourse you can change it as u see fit.. but I don't see any compelling reason to reduce or go over the recommended limit, for city rides :)
Have you tried and tested the traction control yet? If yes, then how was your experience?
Yes it's slightly on the aggressive side.... even on small minor speed bumps if you don't slow down, the traction light comes on for a second.

Not by default but that's sold as an official accessory.

I hope you got the radiator guard installed as the fins are easily damaged. Also, consider getting the front fender extension. They’re both very necessary for the Trident.
Hey Ranjit wile watching your video a question came to my mind I know it's. Bit late to ask this question to you but still. While looking out to upgrade from the CB 350 why did you not take a look at the street triple R from triumph? Was it because you not what to stretch your budget that much or soem other reasons?
That bike is just too much aggressive to ride in traffic and the seating posting is also a lot more aggressive and not comfortable as the trident and that's a important point for me as I have back ache issues. I did ride the Street Triple earlier and budget was not a issue in my decision.

Hi Ranjit, I also got my Trident660's 1st service done couple of days ago. Below are the difference I observed after watching your video,
1. Pune Triumph charged me around 3300 as a labour charge whereas your invoice says around 3800
2. For the 2nd service, they set 10,000 km OR 1 year from the date of purchase.
For Labour it's 2500 + GST for me. What was the total amount you paid. 2nd service on the Odo it's showing me 16K Kms but yeah or 1 year. BTW any change that you noticed on your bike after the first service, gear shifting, engine more refined etc, would be great if you can share that info. Would be helpful to everyone.

I have not observed any major change except gear shifting got smoother as I rode in road mode only from day 1. Also, haven't got much time to check as I got busy with office work.
So planning a ride on coming Saturday (26th Feb). I will share my experience after that.
By the way I also have the same matt black finish. So do you have any idea about how we can maintain this for longer period. For me its really difficult as it is my first matt colour bike.
BTW another things I wanted to ask you.... what type of fuel are filling in the trident regular 91 Pertrol or something else, if so have you noticed any difference.

Which camera you're using right now?
which camera are you recommend GoPro / DJI Action 2 for moto vlogging at a tight budget? cause GoPro gonna cost me 50$ extra for the mic adapter.
dji osmo is a better choice. I'm selling mine if you interested.
Ranjit, synthetic oil is definitely good, but I have found semi-synthetic to give me the same results while being a lot cheaper. Maybe try that next time instead
Please use the word ride instead of drive. The word drive is used for 4 wheelers.
Are you really happy riding such power on crowded indian roads and which gives you 15-20 kms to every litre of hard earnt money?

No it would not have gone with it even if it was priced same as Trident, the reason is the seat height is 835mm and I can't flat foot with that also I was not looking for a Adv bike in the first place.
I had even ridden the Tiger 850 earlier before taking the Trident and that didn't suit me and the Tiger 660 is almost the same bike with the Trident 660 engine. I wanted a street naked bike that was nimble and easy to handle and Trident ticks that for me.

I must agree with you that when I had my Triumph Trident 660 out of the show room I was not happy with it. The Engine was really rough and the gear change was awful. Now it feels a lot better. and that is before the first service. I will be having it's first Service done next week. Hopefully I can mirror your experience.

How is the visibility at nights?
Next time it would better if you take the bike yourself rather than giving it for pick up and drop, else they chaps are going to rev the nuts out of your brand new bike unnecessarily, Also don't wait for 15K for oil change get it changes around 5 to 6K mark, else you will notice performance dipping

Trident somehow looks like 1st model of pulsar to me except the gap below seat. The same is not the case with street triple. It looks like a unique bike.

Bhai don’t drive in road mode y be coz traction control kicks in often try in normal mode r spirts mode now the first service done no worries just pull the accelerator

You can use even the regular 91 Octane (that is regular Petrol we get in India) I am using that. Even on my BMW Car it say can use 91 or 95 and been using 91 no issues. In Hyderabad there is a pump that gives Speed 99 I will try that later and see, but considering the price difference of that fuel it does not make sense.
@@ECHILUKURISAISUKESHREDDY high compression motorcycle require higher octane, for motorcycle with ratio 13.1 above will require 99 or 100 octane petrol to ensure fuel is burned properly and no longterm damage.
Awesome !! will be good if you fix another camera , maybe at the side and switch between the two during editing. WIll make it more interesting to watch while hearing the voice over !!

You can also check the Honda CB650R but that would just cross 10L.
Nobody will be able recommend a bike without knowing your usage. It's like asking what's the best car under 30L. Suv, sedan and hatch all have their pros and cons. If you are looking for a bike under 10L for touring then I'd suggest going for an ADV. Versys 650 and Vstrom are both great options. And if you are not in a hurry suggest waiting for the Triumph Tiger 660. It shares the engine with the Trident.
Naked: Kawasaki Z900, Triumph Street Triple R or Honda CB650R (Power in decreasing order)
Faired: Honda CBR650R
I would personally recommend faired motorcycle in high CC class because of aerodynamics and high speed stability. You don't buy a 650CC bike to ride at 80-90. However, if you end up getting a naked, put a windscreen on it.

Yeah read abou that I check with my bikes VIN number and mine is not in the stand recall apparently.

The general consensus is not to use fuel with additives so if you mean premium as in higher octane you can try that. Bikes sold in India a detuned for 91 petrol though the manual might say 95.
Looking forward to your video about riding boots. It's crazy picking a pair and a good one can cost as much as the jacket, pants and gloves combined.
Why did you go for the Trident and not pay 2L more for the Triumph Street Triple with a much higher weight to power ratio?
