Quick Shifter on Triumph Trident 660 & Initial Experience

- Installing the Quick Shifter on the Triumph Trident 660 and another accessory and my initial experience of riding the trident with the quickshifter installed. BTW apart from the GoPro footage that is when I am on the bike the rest of the video was shot using the Samsung Galaxy S22+ smartphone so let me know what you feel about the video quality.

Knowing at what rpm/rpm range the engine makes workable power helps in developing that subconscious habit of doing the upshifting and downshifting.
As time goes by, just by the revving sound of the engine, you will develop the habit of doing the upshift and downshift subconsciously.
This is one of the reasons why the biking community says that "the rider and bike work as one soul when they sync together"

sir, if you dont touch the clutch on shifting the gear then bike will give more average then before or it remain the same.
Great video brother! However driving in your city gives me anxiety!
It has auto blip for downshift too right. So there should not be any need for pressing clutch to increase rpms.

I had my quickshifter installed but changing gears from 1st to 2nd and wnd to 3rd even with an rpm above 5,000 rpm hasnt been smooth. Only from 3rd to 6th do i have a smooth shft. Is this normal?

The engine guard price 😅 is it worth that price? the quickshifter is absolutely worth it though.
You'll get a second hand good scooty in that bill.
That's debatable. That engine guard is to protect the engine case, which maybe too costly to replace if damaged. The price of ownership of a triumph and the availability of service centre/showroom is the biggest limitation in India. That's why the enthusiast bike market is captured by Kawasaki, with much better availability and low accessories and service costs. Then again, the triple cylinder engine by triumph is feels too good to ride on.
@@VicariousxD that could be a reason, the ground clearance of the bike is really low, so prevention is better than cure.

Quickshifter is fine and all but is there any options for switching it on and off based on preference of the biker?
dont need to switch off, just dont use it. You can use clutch anytime,

Bobo, you get it in just holder, fast charge and wireless charger models. I have the wireless on my bike and it works pretty decently.

But we are supposed to let go of throttle when downshifting and not let go of throttle when upshifting
Yeah you let go the throttle when downshifting like you do normally, unless you want that instant acceleration for overtaking while downshifting. But for up-shfits you don't let go the throttle if you do that quick shifter does not engage.

I don’t find the quick shifter that useful at all for your riding style… where you ride at low rpm always and below 100 even in open stretch… it’s needed to smoke the other in the group ride or signal point launch or in track…
You are a sooo soft rider and single cylinder bike would satisfy your requirements, you dint satisfy trident for that matter!!
This bike comes without a quick shifter? Dayuumm..rip off.
Rs.45000 just for getting the luxury of not pressing the clutch when shifting gears. Such luxury you can only afford after becoming a TH-camr.
