I think you putting theories in your thumbnails will stop a lot or complaints about the channel, so that’s a great change. Your content has always been well edited and I’ve always treated it as like a lesson in scream.
Here’s my scream 7 predictions
The movie focus Sidney with her family and almost mark will return then new ghost face return revenge on Sidney and she team up with gale and Kirby
To stop new killer on winter break 🎄
I HONESTLY feel like doing this would be the best move for the Franchise:
Set up the timeline of Scream 7 to be RIGHT AFTER the New York attacks, like a week or two. Sam and Tara and the core 4 are in hiding or all still in the hospital, but Gale gets a phone call from ghostface while she's in the hospital that tells her Sidney and Mark are the next targets on the list, with ghostface telling Gale to turn on the news (similar to GF using Maureen's voice in Scream 3 to make Sidney turn on the news, maybe GF could be using Dewey's voice... it would set up GF as being particularly cruel in this installment early on), and when Gale turns on the TV, she sees that the news is reporting several ghostface attacks across the world, having maybe 3 attacks happening worldwide. Then, RIGHT as we go from Gale watching the news, we go from Gale's hospital room, transitioning to us focusing on the TV and the news, then we end up in Sidney's house, as she is watching the news while making coffee or breakfast for Mark and the girls, and then all of a sudden, as Sidney is calling for Mark to come downstairs and help her pack up and get the kids in the car, ghostface breaks down their front door, or a back window perhaps, and we see Sidney get stabbed as the screen cuts to black, roll opening credits.
I love the idea of Ghostface using the voices of past victims, I'm sure a lot of cast members would be happy to do a voice cameo too.

I feel like it would be cool to have the story centered around Sidney's kid (kids). They are the targets of a new ghost face with a bit of a time jump so they are of high school age. Gale would logically be included being her and Sid are close and help mentor/guide them. We could have a solid emphasis of Sidney with this idea too being she would feel guilty/struggle with the thought that her kids are only dealing with this because of her past trauma.

I would love to see Sidney taking the lead again similar to how she was in Scream 4 and 5, not the victim, but being there to protect her kids, the way she wasn't protected by her parents

thank you so much for all these updates. these truly help me understand more behind the scenes info without getting too bored (which has happened to me with other youtubers). one of my friends believes that scream 7 is going to just have completely different characters and absolutely no ties to the original characters at all (similar to halloween 3: season of the witch), but i doubted their claim (mainly because of info i got from watching your videos and also due to how much the third halloween film flopped). keep up the good work!
Well your friend is dumb. That literally makes no sense 😂😂. Why would a reboot have entirely new cast with no connection to the original. A reboot has to have the original cast, otherwise it's not a reboot 😂😂. Do you and your friend know what a reboot is???
While it’s true that Halloween 3 flopped at the time of its release, it had aged well, I have seen more praise than ever. I think they will decide to bring back legacy characters and introduce new characters, I don’t think they’ll bring in all new characters, mostly bc of how Halloween Ends tried something different and it flopped bad 😂
I’m not interested in a whole new story though. I’m interested in them treating their cast and crew with decency and respect. You think the next people they try and cast is going to be ok with being treated like a doormat, now that all this has come out publicly?
Maybe I'm one of few, but I'm just happy that those boring sisters were cut off.
I want to see more old heroes in Scream.

Before all the drama went down surrounding Scream 7 I was really hoping it would be a conclusion to the franchise. I just miss when stories ended lol. Horror has always had a special loophole compared to other genres because the movies are often new characters with the same villain. And Scream has always been the opposite so it felt RIGHT for it to conclude while other horror movies continue the standard format. (Evil Dead is the only franchise I can think of with a similar structure in the original three films. Halloween i don't count because the canon is so messy lol basically a multiverse with all the Jaime stuff that got retconned)

And Scream 7 for sure was going to revolve around Christina Carpenter and her possibly being Ghostface Spyglass buried this franchise with no cares in the world.
Maybe Thats tricky because we dont see her in any point in the last 2 and she would not have the same charisma like her daughters.
BUUUUT, It could work somehow I think.
Focusing on Sidney,Mark and her twins going into hiding seems like a clever way to go about for Scream 7❤ its also a good way to not have Sam and Tara, but id like to add that in order to have Mindy and Chad maybe add Martha in the mix to kill her off or just have her get attacked that way it has a legit reason to still have the twins with Kirby or Gale helping them ❤❤❤❤
Want to set the tone for a Scream film, and give us another opening kill scene, imagine if they opened with one of the core four (likely Chad or Mindy), and one of the legacy characters being attacked in separate locations, and one lives while the other dies.
I've been floating around two ideas, one being that I'd love to see a scream film set in the winter time. And the second being what if they were to bring back some characters that are either dead, or past killers by way of siblings. For example, Samara weavings character from the last film could come back as her identical twin, or Macaulay Culkin could come back as Charlie's older brother which would link back to Kirby or could be used as a red herring.
My last theory could be that 7 isn't all out blood bath, where we lose a lot of the characters, and at the end when ghostface is revealed it's a complete stranger and that's when you learn that there is in fact a ghostface cult which could launch into eight...
I’m still on the fence about a scream 7 still happening , but if it’s pulled off in a respectful and satisfying way. Then I’ll be fine with that

The Scream reddit is acting as if it's impossible or not worth telling a story without Sam and Tara, but I feel their story wrapped up nicely in Scream 6.
As was said in the video, word of these murders would spread faster now than in the 90s and anybody can be Ghostface, at any time, anywhere. There's no shortage of serial killers either.

It wouldn't make sense for them to be there, A reboot is a recreation of an original story and plot that was already established in the beginning. Sidney, Gale, Dewey. No core 4 😂👍. No Carpenter sisters. Lame, boring and uninteresting, they were never needed anyway 🤷. The reboot is the only thing that can save things, with the legacy characters of course. 5 is only good because of Neve, 6 is complete trash 😂🗑️

here's my idea for scream 7.. SAM and tara go into hiding and nobody knows where they are, including the twins. In the opening scene, we can have a phone call between chad and mindy(off screen) as they kinda discuss the events and how it affected sam and tara. we could have a parallel scene where gale is alone in the apartment. Then two simultaneous attacks happen. Chad dies but gale survives. Mindy wants revenge, so she meets up with gale. The story moves on and later on, ghostface calls and reveals that he was actually one of the ghostfaces in scream 6 and that the one who attacked gale in her apartment was him and not quinn. In the end, he reveals himself to be stu macher, coming back for revenge..

Scream 7 could be another movie-within-a-movie sequel like Scream 3, focusing on a movie company that wants to revive the Stab franchise around the Kirsch family--Richie Kirsch's amateur filmmaking, the dirty cop father, their New York Ghostface shrine with ill-gotten murderabilia, etc. Kirby would be an ideal lead character for this movie, along with the Meeks-Martin twins.

It’s a story about a mother’s past haunting the daughter, that was the original Scream trilogy,
The meta stuff was a gimmick to sell because it was fresh and new in the 90’s. And a quarter of a century later everything is meta that it’s old and tired.
The meat of Scream was the story, the meta stuff was just the gravy.
Scream needs to stay away from the meta comedy stuff now, it’s old and tired.

Would be cool to go see the same time period as Scream 6 as it was happening but from Sidney’s perspective where she is “in hiding” but also having ghost face attacks where she is as well. And then she starts seeing things on the tv about the nyc stuff and it ends at the same time as scream 6

I think if Spyglass don't want to sell the rights, it would be better if they release a Stab spin-off instead of rebooting or bringing Sidney back to "end her story" a fourth time. With a spin-off they can do whatever they want without stain the main franchise and, later on, someone could continue where they left bringing back the Core Four, Danny, Gale and Kirby (leave Sidney and her family ALOOONE).
What I want them to do is set up a multi movie storyline where Stu has formed a cult so you have a bunch of killers with seemingly no motive. Once a cult has been established suddenly it really could be anyone. Kirby? Gale? (Yeah, not Gale) it could be all 4 or 5 of a new friend group. I think it should be revealed that Stu was in love with Billy and Billy was manipulating that as well. And we find out that all of the killers in the franchise were manipulated by Stu as he gradually formed this cult. Debbie was there to comfort Stu and nurse him back to health. There actually were 2 killers in Scream 3. And so on. I want to see a Saw style retcon revamp of the whole franchise.

I think Spyglass might want to do a retcon/alternative timeline, much like Halloween. In this case, a new Scream 5 movie. This paves the way to bring back the OG characters, even Dewey, without needing to worry about the Core 4 and the events of Scream 5 and 6.

Sydney and Mark should take a vacation on a cruise ship to get away from the kids and everyday life but there is a ghostface killer on board. Imagine the menagerie of people on a cruise ship between the staff and the entertainment and the other vacationers? It might be the perfect opportunity to have some smaller characters return as cruise staff or entertainment to create red herrings. What if Sydney thinks she saw Angelina from S3? Maybe she was the third killer and instead of getting caught she went into hiding and works on the cruise ship under an assumed name. Better yet in the end we find out it’s Stu because Stu lives!

honestly I want a spin-off series of scream. maybe set in a different country/different universe or maybe satiring different tropes. for example maybe a movie that is a satire of ghost movies (the ring, the grudge, paranormal activites, etc) without going into comedy (so basically a "scary movie" movie but without comedy)
They could also use the Stab movies to portray what's happening in real life. A crowd of fans angry at the studio and killing people there for either rebooting the franchise or removing a beloved character

I would be fine with them bringing back some of the original characters, Neve Campbell was so terribly missed in scream 6 but at the same time her reason for not being in the sixth movie installment was understandable and it would be nice to see Courtney and Patrick come back in the next scream movie also and i could see the seventh movie installment being the last movie just as well. 🎬
I REALLY hope for Neve to find time in her schedule. My DREAM is so Barrera forgave them and came back and of course Lillard as cherry on top. This will be my DREAM 7th - Billy daughter losing it, bit by bit, fighting new Ghostface wave among Sidney, losing it when Stu kills Sidney in front of her. 🙌

Just take a break from Sam and Tara for now and Focus on Sidney’s Final Chapter first, then hopefully if all goes well and the dust has settled with the whole incident with spyglass (if they relinquished the rights over to someone else even better!) bring back Sam and Tara one last time to conclude their story as well.
That’s just me but it’s also just wishful thinking at this point, some people in Hollywood aren’t too smart or they’re too greedy to play it this way.

We either need a time jump from 6 or we need an in between Scream 4 and 5 movie. If they went with the time between 4&5 we could get Dewey back. If they do a time jump Sidneys kids could be teenagers and a huge focus

it would be smart if they have an unknown ally to prior ghostface be the killer but no one knows. but also have stu come back reformed and see through it. kind of killer on killer. the problem with stu is they put this weird ? by his name in a police station. they'll need an elaborate body swap to explain that. or maybe they'll just not explain it. but either stu got away or was there. and either he went to the morgue or the hospital. i guess sending him to hospital and faking death there. but then who would do that? rowan? his parents?

New characters is the only way to go at this point.
Whatever happens, they have got to get real about how infamous the ghostface killings would be realistically. Doesn't make any sense that Tara barely could piece together what happened in the city she lives in when one of her friend's parents was involved in the last killing, another two of her friends are related to a victim, etc. The Scream universe treats it like something only dorks would have an awareness of AND that they would only know it through the movies. There is no way that Stab would have a monopoly of sensationalizing these stories. There would have to be documentaries, true crime series, etc. in the Scream universe. So in 7, I don't know you can have a national news host like Gale survive a masked serial killer SIX different times and that's nothing, that's not something anyone is fascinated by. The scale of the Scream Universe feels so wildly small, especially when you compare it against how 2 and 3 felt.
This is probably unrealistic, but it would be fun if they took one of the Stab actors and made them feel remorseful about being a part of the movies because they feel like it's just inspiring the killings now. Like imagine if they somehow got Tori Spelling playing a version of herself within the Scream universe and she's trying to put a stop to it. Or she's just being hounded with blame (sort of like how Sam/Sidney/Gale sometimes got confronted and blamed for the killings/sensationalizing things). It would be an interesting meta twist to play with.
literally !! There's no way tara wouldn't know about a series of killings that had started in her town for the last 25 years. Sure, she would've been around 7-8 years old when the last one happened, but there's absolutely no way she wouldn't have known about one that was started by a girl trying become famous, thats just too of an insane story not to know about, let alone if it happened IN YOUR TOWN.

Their only real chance for a successful film is, retcon the last two films and continue from Scream 4! Have the story focus on Sidney and have Dewey and Gale help her deal with Ghost Face once and for all! They also need to get rid of the current writers and get better ones!
Ghostface isn't a "once and for all" killer. It's never the same person. There is no such thing as once and for all in this.

That is the exact approach I would take. Scream 7 should tell the story that was happening to Sidney and Kincaid when they went into hiding at the exact same time Scream 6 was taking place. We could still bring Courtney Cox back to shoot scenes with her on the phone with Sidney and even flashbacks of how she discovered the Ghostface shrine and when she wrote her new book for 6.

What about a prequel?, if we analize Insidious 4, The Exorcist 4, this is all about the beginning, the true beginning is a sort of speak. Scream never did this, they are almost in the same spot of 4 again, the start of a new trilogy. But what if they do both at the same time. One story in the past, and one in the sort of present with Sidney and her family be the target. This will allow a full closure, and no Sam or Tara will be need. If they do a prequel story, they can also add some characters in the present as well, but this will give them a legacy status, since they are the trully survivors.

Good point. I mean tbh, we only knew the new characters for 2 movies. If Scream started out with Sidney, ending the franchise wouldn’t disappoint. The only thing is, the story line. Bring back Gale and Kirby, Mark and Stu. Maybe some new faces. They could make this one great if they use what people have wanted for years and that’s to bring back Stu Macher!

Hate me for this, but use the cult of Ghostface idea to wrap it up. It’s an easy but practical way to explain the events of the 5th and 6th movies and the random resurgence of Ghostface killings. You could make the point that an entire cult exists that Amber, Richie and Jason just so happened to be a part of. Make the 7th one the reveal that a cult now exists that led to the recent events, and have Sidney and Gale shut it down. It doesn’t require the core four to be involved directly, but still allows for the inclusion of their story.
Yeah Sidney and Gale shutting down a whole evil cult would be an excellent end to their story. Epic.
For as much of a screen fan as you are, I can’t believe you would even consider the possibility of having a completely new cast, not dependent on any of the legacy characters or any of the new characters, and introduced as any kind of an option at all. This is blasphemous, and the whole point of the story is it’s about the Prescotts or Loomis’s. There’s none of the story, if you don’t have any connection to that.
Scream 5 and Scream 6 were trash movies

Look for 7 there are many things they need to make up for like that b.s reason for Sydney not being there. Have 7 start by following Kirby and gale going to see Sydney after the events of six. Have the groups decision be they need to get to the bottom of these web pages And dreadit threads and find the one bringing them all together to end Ghostface once and for all. Sydney and Kirby would tell gale and mark there is someone they need to talk to and it's Jill in prison and she has a lot of information they need but Ghostface tracks them down and kills Jill calling her a traitor have a bit of it set in the prison and that Ghostface revealed as Charlie then have the Ghostface at the end revealed as Stu. Who felt sorry for Charlie being the fall guy like he was intended to be back in he and Billy's time.

I’d love to see a reboot with a twist! They could totally do a reboot of the original storyline but in a different Woodsboro (like in Texas) where it takes place in the same timeline of the original but it takes place with new people who slightly embody the original characters but not a full 100 reboot where we could still guess wrong or right who the new killers are.

I really can't believe Melissa Barrera and Jenna Ortega and the whole Carpenter sisters storyline is now gone and will be forgotten Melissa should have sued Spyglass I hope another company take the rights of Scream this is still to much.
You do realize Spyglass was the reason why the scream franchise came back right! Why would want to sell it to another studio? That studio would not know what to do with it.
Not complety. After S7, Spyglass could lost the rights Of the franchise and another one could do another movie with them (like the new Halloween movies being part Of Dimension and later to Blumhouse).

Ghostface finally finds Sydney and Mark. Kills one of her daughter’s friends to kick things off. Comes face to face with the daughter as they may be a teacher who also happens to be a long time friend of Sydney and Mark or classmate. I wouldn’t know what the persons vendetta would be though.
Scream 7 makes the same mistake like scream 3 did by making 2 solid scream sequels and than we get to know how the original scrip for scream 7 was. stu cult we never get to see...again.
They really need to wait 5 years if they aren’t going to finish this storyline and reboot .neve couldn’t even get asses in seats in scream 4 how do they expect her to do it now when she’s less relevant than she was in 2011.
I think they should go ahead and reset at this point. It should start with the end of the last one with Sam dropping the mask, then cut to Gale typing "the end". The recent two Screams could be a fictional story Gale was writing then go from there. That way they can correct past mistakes and bring Dewey back. Also bring Sid back and have a movie or two wrapping up the legacy characters story. Then the series can move on with a whole new group of people.
Bringing Dewey back would be a terrible idea... I mean I loved his death scene and it had great impact on me. I have never really loved him but Scream 5 made me.
@cs.a.745 I know I'm in the minority but I feel the complete opposite. Personally, I think killing him was a terrible idea. For me, he was the heart of the franchise. And I feel like the way he was written was nothing like Dewey from the other 4 movies and his death was poorly written and unearned. But to each their own.

I feel like I needed to finally miss someone from this franchise and his death gave it to me. I almost cry every time I see his scenes even in previous movies from that day. For me 5 made me appreciate him more and that's why I love the fact that we lost him. He even says that don't call people in the wrong moment and then Gale's calls him while trying to protect Tara since he couldn't protect her own sister... Maybe I don't care about the "making him dirty" part because I love these kind of character "development?" 😅
I believe Scream 7 can go either or with or without Sam and Tara. I believe dropping the mask at the end of 6 left it open. But in you need stop acting like it's the end of the world that Tara and Sam aren't in Scream 7. Neve Campbell (the actual star) wasn't in 6, and everyone thought it wouldn't survive either. So let's see what happens. Stop putting judgment in people's heads.
Let it be a true reboot and take the story out of the legacy. We need to give the Sidney story a rest and truly pass the torch to other characters. Anyone can daunt the Ghostface mask and that needs to start being true with this franchise.

I heard ideas like chad and mindy get killed in the opening scene of Scream 7. This is a concept. If they do this route, it's over. No turning back.

I feel like the killer in scream 7 is Leslie Macher because Sidney killed stu Macher. It can’t be Christina Carpenter what would her motive be for trying to kill Sidney.
