Thanks for sharing! I'm looking forward to seeing your channel grow! I have a samurai just begging to be worked on but just getting my finances straight. Hopefully I can start ordering some of your products here soon after the holidays. Take Care!
Really appreciate you sharing not only enormous amounts of knowledge but also experience. You have my support and keep making these videos. I am saving them all.
I also started out a jeep guy and never thought id have anything other than a jeep. I bought my first Samurai 3 months ago, fell head over hills in love but unfortunately made the wrong choice on what channel I would watch to help me thru the scary process of jumping into a new vehicle. I would have saved money and time if I had found your channel first. Very knowledgeable and obviously passionate. Hopefully I will be talking to you in mid February about my turbo kit. You rock!
I have a stock '87 daily driver that runs like a top. Having to downshift all the way to 3rd to maintain 40 going up a small hill is a pain. I've been watching what the Aussie's have been doing with their Samurais and looking into putting a super charger on mine. I really didn't think a turbo would be an option due to the lag involved and the shear amount of modifications needed. In this video you state the turbo has very little lag, and with an off the shelf kit I'm now thinking turbo. I just discovered your channel and really like your explanations. You explain mechanical things the way I see them. So far every one of your vids is awesome and I appreciate the time and work you've put in to make them. I have the only Samurai in my area I've seen for decades. Finding knowledgeable people who appreciate these little beasts is a blessing. You have earned a new subscriber and customer.
First step is compression test. I do not take orders for turbo on worn out motors. Must be above 150 per cylinder or no sale. Some of the copy cat companies don’t care they will sell you there stuff.
I got one of your myturbo kits a couple years ago , after some tinkering and some tech support from your end, I had got it running good. The engine currently runs at nearly a perfect 14.7 A/F ratio even while under boost and The amount of power it adds to the 8V engine is insane. it has made the samurai tons of fun and it' hasn't given me any issues. Also the harley carb is awesome. Glad you started making videos. Its really cool to see these videos, I learned alot of new info I didnt know. after watching this and the myside video it has inspiried me to go through my whole kit and re-do some stuff correctly that I learned from your video. Cheers.
Hey buddy you want to be richer than 14.7 at boost. Contact me we gotta get more fuel in there. Also timing must be slower on MY-Turbo than on just MY-Side.
Enjoying your videos! Keep it going. Looking into P.S. for 1 of my Sami’s. Have to give you a call after the holiday is over. Hope you and your wife had Happy Birthdays. And have a great Thanksgiving!
So far so good thank you. If you don’t know the drill, it’s shop or cell is always fastest response. Leave a message if no answer. Emails, msg,CRM all slower to respond.
All we run is propane, some of my friends run turbos but most of us dont because the propane and a 1.6 8 valve is a powerhouse for a sami….. but the propane with turbo is awesome on a 1.6 8valve and even the 1.3 with a mild build. I have also seen a lot of 1.6 16 valves with T25 turbos and a boost by vacuum pancake system and they work great and hold together very well
@@Zuksoffroad what a beast of an engine those are, have you ran into the number two journal for crank cracking problem when rebuilding or do you stay away from crank and just do rods? Its just the 1.6 8 valve that does the dreaded cracking of number two, not all but most of them do it at some point, but if you dont disturb the crank usually it doeant hurt anything. It seems like the crack opens up when taken apart
@heathkill4821 the crack in 1.6 16 v blocks occur from overheating. I have never seen an 8v block crack between 1-2 cylinder. The mystery is they are interchangeable blocks. My own experience with 16v is that they reach temperatures hot enough to melt rubber and plastic into liquid while factory C-H gauge shows cool. Where as an 8v gauge shows overheating so driver shuts engine off in time.
@@Zuksoffroad ya the 16 valve does get pretty hot, i have only seen number two crack on 1.6 8 valves and when i looked up some info about it i actually came acrossed a hwy83 suzuki video talking about these cracks and a lot of guys dont mess with the crank because of that. But i have only had one myself that was cracked, and some friends have had cracks but it doesnt seem to be all of them just certain years. And there was never any signs of overheating in me or my friends cracked journals, hwy83suzuki seems to have had this problem a lot, but he also buys suzukis and geos like water and constanlty builds them. I was just curious if you have ran into this issue yet, im going to build a 8 valve and run propane soon so i will probably just do a mild build and about 7 psi of boost… also i run a toyota 22r propane kit on my samurai and man what a difference from the samurai kit. I can run more air and propane with tha larger setup and for now i might throw on a sidekick or tracker intake and exhaust for more flow and i can turn the propane up a little more, night and day difference for sure and once i do the 8 valve in this one i want to t25 it instead of the vw ko3 that always fails on my passats, i might even get a ko4 or ko4-15 but im trying to do straight oil fed turbo and not the coolant and oil cooled shit. I have even bought factory borg warner ko3’s and after about a year they would start to boost the coolant system due to hot temps and overspooling such a little turbo, they make full boost at 2,000 to 2,200 rpm on the b5 and b5.5 passats and jettas. The factory upgrade is the ko4-15 and i works great and for a long time compaired to the ko3, just gotta tune out some lag… sorry for the laundry list, i love samurais, sidekicks, trackers and toyotas and i dont see too many people doing anything with them these days… its all junk asss jeeps and sema trucks that cant get out of wet grass
I am getting out of Suzuki engines and especially 1.6 can’t get top notch parts anymore. Competitors are using Chinese parts. I am down to four or five 1.6 engines to finish and no then no more.
I know squat about turbos. I do know that i reduced heat from my exhaust with a jet hot coating on my j23 engine in my sidekick sport. Would a jet hot coating on your "log" help any? Trying to learn.
Not sure why the question about heat reduction by using this particular product. You won’t be turboing a closed loop Suzuki efi system. Almost all engines, I say almost because I am not talking about 2,000 hp drag engines. The exhaust temp at the valves will be around 650 degrees. Have you ever visually seen valves functioning? You can if you take the exhaust manifold off. Of course you run the risk of killing the E valves because of the temp difference engine exhaust to normal atmosphere temps. So don’t try this at home. They are red HOT, the exhaust manifolds glow red while the engines running of you didn’t know that. The only thing makes a big difference is GOT PROPANE’s draw thru suck thru with ZOR’s GOT -turbo. Drops the temp to a cool 425 at the log.
Weird question. Cracking comes from overheating not turbo. If you try and turbo a closed loop Suzuki efi computer don’t call me for tech support. I would tell you to get a mega squirt efi kit so you can program for boost. And without a doubt you had better get H beam rods.
man, wish id find a kit for my f10a, but probably wouldnt be worth the effort. tho i dont want it to just sit in the corner either, it starts and runs like a dream. just leaves tiny patches of oil behind and is slow as fuck, greetings from germany btw. :D

Excellent Breakdown, thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for the new video! I pretty much just need to install the fuel pump on my turbo setup now.
Thank you for sharing great information

Might be worth experimenting with a drawthrough turbo set up like the VW guys. I had one and worked great

Well first do a compression test (one of my latest videos) then let’s talk about tire size. You may just need gearing to compensate for bigger paws.
Good stuff! Diggin the zor videos
Appreciate you sharing that
Another awesome product.
My old zuks needs this

Definitely saving my penny's to get this. Love the info you are imparting into the zuk community
Awesome, thank you!
This kit is definitely in my future.
LOL I keep looking at that My Turbo kit., and it keeps getting more and more affordable, then I noticed the bottle of JD. Nice touch!
Mr Daniel’s has a wonderful product. Some of his customers use it inappropriately. That’s not my concern.
Yes Sir that's what I need.

looking into this!
Wonderful memories from turbos. Not for everyone. Once you get the feel of power in a Samurai, it is a rabbit hole.
Love the video. I am really hoping you will be able to get my two HD carbs to make one good turbo carb.
I will I feel bad just looking at them. Two guys on vacation without notice has really out me behind
I was the one who called. Lol! Thanks Myron!
Yes and I appreciate all enthusiast even if they hate me for disrupting the Apple cart.
Love your videos
THANK YOU from SMITH ALBERTA CANADA , IM rebuilding 3 1982, ill prolly harley carb or els just buy a 1.6 x3 from you talk soon thanks
Well I am not taking orders for 1.6s but I know people that can still build them.
All hail the squirrel king! 🙇🏽♂️🐿️ 👑
Very few people know me by that title.

We work with Gary and turbo his systems 1.6 8v with H beam rods is over 147hp. Makes for a fast fun rig.

You should do a 1.6 swap kit review and install
I am getting out of Suzuki engines and especially 1.6 can’t get top notch parts anymore. Competitors are using Chinese parts. I am down to four or five 1.6 engines to finish and no then no more.
No body going to talk about the fart at 3:24? HA! Good video though. I have 2 turbos off of a BMW trying to figure out the best way for fuel dilivery.
Funny mentioning that. Katryna said “cut” she had to fart during filming.
would you be able to put a turbo kit together for a g13b Dohc? as far as just the hardware at least?
Negatory I don’t do closed loop efi turbos. However, if you did a mega squirt which is programmable there may be lots of parts and tech I can provide.
Just purchased a 1987 Sammi Tin Top. The Turbo appears to be a convent and economical way to increase the horse power. Isaiah 40:20
Thanks for the shoutout My. 😎 the weekend we installed the turbo on popcorn was fun. 👍
Any time!

WHAT WILL THE TURBO DO TO THE 16V 1.6 CRACKING OF THE ENGINE BLOCK PROBLEM ?

Any advise on adding a turbo to the same 1.3 but fuel injected?
Almost ready to introduce new product specifically for old Suzuki closed loop efi.

@@Zuksoffroad hello ^^
Gday. Just wondering if you ship to Australia and if this kit will work with a right hand steer car. Cheers
Yes and yes
This video makes me want to spend $2K on my $1,200 Samurai
