Hi mate, thanks for sharing your experience. I have the same mods as you on my FL N, and was also seriously considering Cherry for the tune. Those numbers are rather conservative, Nm are high though, 481, I would have thought Cherry could get more power that 320 odd HP. Could you pls share your thoughts on the car now since the tune? Any issues? Cheers
Thanks for watching! There's definitely more room for power, but I told him I'd prefer something in line for a more 'safe' tune for longevity. Car feels a lot quicker now, much more pull. In regards to your other comment yeah wheel spin is a limiting factor for FWD :P
I have almost the same set up on a pfl and got tuned at cherry recently as well. After speaking with them, the cars usually don't make more than 250kw tops with fbo. You'd probably have to upgrade the clutch for any more power than this depending on the age of the car. I'm spinning wheels well into third gear tho at 235kw. It's a lot of power for a hatch.
Ahh.. PFL N with the smaller turbo, hence the numbers i guess?. I was hoping for 350HP and 450Nm ball park with same bolt on's on FL platform, similar to Hyundai's TCR car on stock block. Yours must still be a Great improvement over stock tune for sure. Is wheel spin and issue now?
As someone that just last weekend (and 1 weekend a month) that gets up at 4am to do 12hr shifts on the weekend. I appreciate the shout out
Good On you for keeping it conservative. I’d be happy with 300hp and 450nm.. don’t want to blow the guts out of the bottom end.
@@jonttran1092 if you can, try and get your hands on the facelift turbo. A prefacelift I saw without it being tuned hit 200.3kW / 460.4Nm
@@Tungg_I have a i30 sedan N so I think I already have the good turbo?
@@jonttran1092 ah yes you'll be able to hit those numbers easily then 😁
Except my car has that octane learning thing which is very fiddly
@@jonttran1092 Octane learning can be deleted from the file, was the first thing they did my car when i handed it over
How bad is wheel hop off the launch
damn! that's crazy!
how much for this upgrade as im thinking about it and live local to cherry
@@bradtulk7042 $1490 for the dyno tune
