I'm not too fussed with the controls being reversed, I'm kinda used to it now 😅 But I feel like with enough wiring know-how you could maybe pull it apart and reverse the wiring or something.
Amazing video! I'm going to try doing this on my 2018 Hyundai i30N Premium with Sunroof in Performance Blue which is powered by a 2.0L Turbo 4 Cylinder engine that has 202 kW of power (at 6000 rpm) and 353 Nm of torque (at 1450 rpm) via a 6 Speed Manual
Also the speed sign recognation is not working well anymore with FL unit. Because the unit cant send the MAP data for the modules, that cause, if the camera not see signs, it can't be load from map and shows --- .
Not too sure, I plugged in everything the pre facelift head cables had into the new one. Nothing more, nothing less

@@Tungg_ hmm, thank you for reply. Do you have maybe picture of the back somewhere? I am wondering where are differences. When I check EU 10 inch version of this radio I see another more likely square connector which is on the left side of the back panel. It is half size of the this two right ones which are the biggest.
Thanks :) Nah I could never get it to appear. It still remembers what rev matching setting you had last in N custom from the previous head unit though.
@@Tungg_ my guess is everything will probably be okay except for the engine/performance related functions, I'll let you know if I do it, having some problems on mine so good excuse to try for an upgrade instead of just a replacement
I just tried doing this. Everything worked perfectly fine but no audio was working. Went thru all settings and couldn’t find anything. Must be something to do with the connection? Could you help me out?
FUN FACT = ELENTRA is Called AVANTE ( Pronounce = Ah Vahn Tae ) here in Korea / Kia Azera is called Kia Grandeur in Korea . Thought to Share .
Thanks man! I have same issue with the skip button on the steering wheel. Please update us if you find any solution!

man the rev matching being disabled really is annoying. probably the only thing holding me back from doing the swap
sacrifices had to be made for more screen real estate 🥲
came here cus of researching on i30n, stayed for the MapleStory BGM 😏

have you tried buying a new battery?
Hello,
Isn't in the new 10,25' headunit connector C on the back? Also do you have LTE Antenna cable plugged in to your radio?

Sorry I didn't take any pictures of the back of it, the best shot I had of what was there was at 1:43
@@Tungg_ thank you very much.
Great video mate, do you know if the rev matching is working with the new screen? Thanks!!
Thanks :) Nah I could never get it to appear. It still remembers what rev matching setting you had last in N custom from the previous head unit though.
@@Tungg_ So if you had it active with custom mode with the old screen, it will work with the new one?
@@MarcosNBA14 That's right. I set mine to Sport before I switched it. Set it to what you wanna use the most in N custom prior to swapping
@@Tungg_ Awesome, thanks a lot mate😇
I am lowkey thinking of trying to put one of these in my normal I30 (non N). Everything looks the same lmao

Had the exact same issue, no audio working tried replugging and going through settings.

Trying to help, are you installing the i30N 10.25" headunit or a normal i30 PD FL 10.25" headunit onto your pre FL i30PD with 8" headunit?

Nope, nothing you can really tinker with in engineering mode
