Very helpful video! You should definitely keep making videos on the Veloster, it seems like nobody has been recently and it's cool to see content from fellow VT owners!
You got me on the #5 recommended item. I am gearing up to do the tune as I have everything done you mentioned, with the addition of the upgraded solenoids, and BOV. Just curious on how difficult it is to switch the fuel line out. Perhaps a video on that?
So i bought a 16 VT 6Spd that was already modified (I was only told about suspension). It's got MBRP Exhaust (but i don't know which one), muffler delete, i put the injen full Cold air intake system but i might switch to the short ram version but talking out the last pipe, it's got suspension CXRacing Coilovers and probably a few other things like blow off valve upgrades and a tune. Only real thing I've done was add some catch cans, the intake and a new fuel pump when mine failed. My big question is how can i find out if it's been tuned? It runs great, not even at 100k miles yet and i brought it into a Hyundai dealership but they couldn't tell me if it was tuned with a buyer's inspection.
I also notice you have the FMIC I was looking at with the blue piping and possibly swapped out the coolant pipes which I was also looking at. If I did the fuel line, would I need to tune it right after to make sure it's giving the correct amount of fuel? And last question, what about a boost controller? I've been looking at the eStreet boost gauge/controller

@@hypebeastbrownie2313 I would start with the items I talked about in this video. Intake, exhaust, spark plugs, and a tune. These items get the ball rolling and usually fulfill most people's wants and needs. If you are looking to fully build for performance you will need these supplemental parts anyway so why not start there. Once you get the basic bolt ons installed you can go for more power with a nice stuffed turbo, a juicier tune, and a few other performance parts
I mentioned the downpipe sorta while I was talking about the catback exhaust. I would say the downpipe would be my 6th recommendation for sure. It completes the exhaust system and really allows the maximum benefits of the other airflow increasing bolt on parts
Not necessarily but it could very much be related! I recommend doing some controlled testing so go do a few pulls in the car while monitoring fuel pressure and if you see that the fuel pressure dips down under heavy load acceleration then yes most likely fuel cut
@@stevethewoodypeterson - During a pull fuel rail pressure stays between 146 and 151, however, the short term fuel trim begins rising all the way from 0 to -14.1 the whole time it is surging, lambda goes down to 11before coming back to 14.7 after I let off throttle. I'm stumped.
@@DevinfrbsI think you should try the fuel line upgrade and see if that fixes your issue. To me it sounds like you are having a fuel delivery/supply issue
Yes, those are all trophies. They are all for showing my veloster for the past 10 years. They are all 1st place Best KDM awards and 2 best in show awards from all over the Midwest. Pretty much every direction of Chicago within a 10hr drive.
Sounds like you should take that up with them. They've been around for a better part of a decade and there are very few instances where I have ever heard of them having issues. I recommend reaching out to Greg the owner with your order information.
@@stevethewoodypeterson I did I emailed them many of times. They told me their provider went out of business and tried to refund but couldn't because they took to long to do it. It's super easy tbh. Kdmtuners did an install video for the fuel line. Thanks for watching
