I sort of want a future Far Cry now. Do you?
I think "Wait for Sale" is the safe bet with just about any Ubisoft game.
One mission is to burn a field full of drugs... It's a Far Cry game.
Never buy a Ubisoft game at full price. Wait for the inevitable price plummet in the holiday season

Sorry to say I have been playing this game for the last week whenever I have a free moment and Far Cry 5 was better in every way. Just my opinion, but if you want to play a Far Cry game just get 5. In fact the only thing 6 does over 5 in my opinion is the bullet velocity. Far Cry 6 has more realistic bullet velocity and physics, otherwise everything about 5 is better imo. But that's just me. A jaded gamer that has a hard time finishing any AAA game these days. Ghost of Tsushima was the last game I finished so take what I say with a grain of salt.

Far Cry 5s music was one of the best parts of the game.
In my opinion, if they improved the enemy AI, the need for different ammo types would be unnecessary. I think they added ammo types and health bars because the AI has been two degrees separated from not being able to wipe their own ass in the morning.

It's always a wait for a sale to me when it comes to Ubisoft games now no matter how much I like a lot of them because they still have a lot of damn editions for their games. Getting a standard edition at full price feels like a ripoff every time that I'd rather wait for the highest editions to go on sale a few months or a year later, that way, I can actually get all the content at a fair price.
Actually looks better than I expected. I do wonder if they managed to merge the over the top ridiculousness with the serious tone well, that balance is hard to pull off.
On sale this game is definitely worth it. Lots of fun to be had and looks and sounds absolutely gorgeous. That said, it is a travesty that there is no cross platform co-op support. All the game’s vehicles are built for co-op in mind so not having cross platform is so lame. The location, weapons, vehicles, etc. all look great and are fun to explore.
Sounds fair. Seems like the type of game I’d enjoy during a holiday after getting it on sale with some DLC.
Damn Karak, you always do an excellent job on these but this review was one of your better ones in recent memory. The last piece about choosing your hill to fight on, was fantastic. Well done.
Bought it yesterday and as a Puerto Rican I loved the details it has for our culture in the Caribbean. I know Yara is Cuba lol and they nailed it in terms of infrastructure, the style, the accent. So far I'm enoying the game. It feels like I'm playing a movie. I think it all depends in personal preference. I say give it a shot. Fry Cry 3 was very good as well. A bit pricey but overall I'm loving the game.
Far cry, like just cause, are the B-grade Hollywood movies but in video game form. It ain't perfect but fun.
