Upgraded door speakers! (pontiac vibe)

Hi all,
Welcome back to another video! Today we upgrade the stock door speakers in the vibe! This was needed due to blown factory speakers and better sound quality, and the best part is these did not need an additional amp! Hope you enjoy the video and the new intro!

What kinda wheels are those? Also do you have wheel spacers or just bigger tires? I'm looking to get a wider stance to my 03

They’re Enkei stock wheels from a celica as far as I know with 1” spacer in front and 1.5” in the rear with 195/60 or 65/15 tires 😁

I need to do this since some a-hole decided to cut the cone support off the front speakers before i got it at auction and they have a horrible vibration at certain frequencies now

Did you need to add any speaker wire or was the stock cable long enough if you did, did the speakers come with the wire?

Speakers come with connectors to splice and attach the factory wires, the aftermarket radio helps them perform better as well, factory wires are perfect 👍🏼

Did you take off the little white harness that connected the old speakers

Yes I cut off the factory connector and put female spade connectors to the factory harness and then slid those on the speakers. I believe the speakers came with the female spade connectors that I used

since this was posted a year ago, fair to ask, have you done a tweeter upgrade? i have questions as I am trying to upgrade my tweeters in my "yak"

I did not, but did plan on just doing some drop in kicker tweeters, with an aftermarket radio that has a decent built in amp it would definitely be a easy upgrade 😎

@@nickwicks4539 for sure for sure thanks for the reply, i just got 1in tweeters 40w rms , they definitely didnt fit my 03 but i'll be doing abit of fabrication. i saw some tweeter covers that are flush, so i plan on drilling out a hole and mounting the tweeter onto that part.

I have pioneer mixtrax in my Pontiac vibe the speaker seems blown on passenger side front.

It’s quite possible after a lot of heavy bass the factory speakers tend to tear my rear passenger speaker was the same way

Honestly the 03 has the nicest front end already, just lower it with some wider wheels and the stock body looks amazing 🙌🏼

@@toastboi8086 you can go pretty wide I had 17x9 in the rear and had a 245 but probably could have went up to 255 or maybe even 265, upfront 245 is perfect
