Chalk Paint Nightstand Makeover & Response to RUDE Comments 😜

- I got an email criticizing the way I speak, so today I'm back with another DIY furniture flip project, but today I'm not speaking, I'm SINGING! That's right. I woke up this morning and wrote 5 songs to narrate this project instead of a voiceover script. And then recorded it in my office. And am uploading it to the internet for all to see :)

This is a great nightstand makeover. I was really tempted to paint these completely black and make a quick profit, but my creative brain took over and gave me a much harder project that took over my whole week. I was challenged!
I'm proud of myself for:
-Not just painting it black to sell quickly, but following my creative hunch
-Not sanding through the veneer
-Using Citristrip more successfully than last time
-Doing the white wash finish on some of the wood
-Getting a pretty good dark finish on the green paint
-Trying about 6 different types of gold paint (including cleaning off and repainting that's not shown in video footage) until I got the color I needed

So aside from your beautiful voice.... My daughter had brain surgery in June and had to have her head shaved. When I found you with your really short hair it was a blessing. I watch your videos with her to show her that beauty has nothing to do with hair length.

First of all, I really like your voice. It is soothing and pleasing and, yes, a bit musical. There is no accounting for some people’s taste (or lack of same)! It is sad that some people feel it’s all okay to say really hurtful and unkind things to perfect strangers online and I am sorry you were a victim of that!
