  • In this Mid-century modern dresser makeover, I had to be extremely patient. It was so dirty, the paint was old and gross, there were so many damaged spots, and on top of it all, I faced a lot of creative indecision throughout the process.
    BUT when all was said and done, I think it turned out really well :) What do you think? Let me know what you think of this MCM furniture makeover down below :)

    When the video started, I thought this piece was too far gone. You pulled it off! You made this look easy. I admire your patience regarding all the detailed work that was necessary for this one. Also, you always sound so content in your videos. Such a joy to watch. Barry

    So pretty.. I love the different hardware; they go well together. I hope you saved the leaf original hardware for another project as I was kinda digging those.

    That is a stunning makeover. Congrats! My mom had what she called a buffet and kept it in the dining room for the good silver, tablecloths, etc. There was the fake marble (formica) on the top of hers and on the drawer fronts. Your before dresser made me think of that piece of furniture. Wish I had it to make over, now that I have seen yours.

    • @KnowCanDo
      @KnowCanDo  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Wow I did this EXACT same dresser! It was painted white too! It only had two of the original knobs and then two of the leaf ones. I couldn’t for the life of me understand why the holes on the bottom were so close together and not centered in anyway. Wow. Very nice.

    Wow, such a great transformation! Thanks for the tip about using vinegar to remove latex paint. I’ll definitely try it! Can’t wait to check out your online store 🙂

    • @KnowCanDo
      @KnowCanDo  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      For sure! Hope it helps, Lee Ann. I will say -- I think it only worked because it was clear the previous owner did not sand or prime or prep the surface at all, and just threw on latex paint. So in that case, the vinegar water spray helped soften the latex paint. But I think if it had been properly prepped it wouldn't work. Not sure :)
