- A lot of Projects start off as weird ideas. In this video I'm sharing 6 times that I had an idea that was a little weird, or goofy but that actually turned into really cool projects. Enjoy

What a great dad. How many dad’s would recreate a kid’s drawings into real furniture. This was fantastic. Thank you. 😊❤
I’m going to like this now and come back and watch this later when I have more time. I just know that it’s going to be fantastic.
Save it to your playlist. I made a playlist for woodworking and building etc.
Triple crayon...those blends were nice. Appreciated the calming energy while I created along with observing.
just realizing how fresh this video is, absolutely amazing and honestly I’m loving the way everything looks!!
I have seen most of these before. Thank you for putting them together. Triple Crayon
I’m having to watch this in stages and so, have only seen the first 2. I don’t think I’m ever going to make a Lego or crayon table but 2 things emerge for me. Firstly, the sheer creativity of using something unusual. Secondly, the skill to take a design in the head and computer and then work out the practical elements.
I wouldn't say this is gimmicky. I would say we are witnessing a genius artist
The best part of this for me was seeing you back in the day, in your dark-ass garage. I hope you take moments now and then to reflect on how far you've come.
Triple crayons may be best... but I personally believe that your introspective comments are what make your channel great. Loved seeing your son’s recognition of his original design. You ought to have him sign his design and then incorporate it somewhere in the piece.
Wishing you and your family a blessed week filled with gentle seasonally appropriate weather. Peace Chris.
I love the drawn cabinet your son designed. It looks like a cartoon of itself.
Something something triple crayon.. it was fun revisiting some of these! Love the ending monologue of the lego/concrete table too
Love your channel. Glad I found your channel.
Wonderful projects, great dad who cares about his children 😊
As an encaustic artist (beeswax and damar resin/tree sap) , I can tell you that epoxy resin over wax will delaminate. Crayons are made of paraffin, but encaustic paint is a mixture of mainly 100% beeswax, damar resin for its hardening properties, and pigments for colour. It's a 2500+ year old art form and there are encaustic paintings from that time that look as good today as the day they'd have been painted. It is highly archive. With encaustic, it would need no resin on top and will be hard. As it cures over the course of about a year, it'll "bloom" occasionally, giving it a foggy look, or you can buff it with a soft cloth or nylon to bring it up to a shine. The way you've done the epoxy may be okay because it's inset in the wood and the line is not straight, so it really shouldn't go anywhere. But check out the techniques used in encaustic painting and you may get inspired for other projects.
16:09 - 16:30 I needed to hear that! I've just made your "freebie coffee table" this weekend. I've got the oak and black resin river top curing on the kitchen table as I type this and I look forward to the weekend to get it milled, flattened and finished. I love the leg frame, I love the angles, I love the top and the shelf. Just all of it in general comes together in a beautiful harmony.
My biggest fear is what you have said in this moment and I don't think I will ever be able to make anything like it or in a style that I can call my own as I think I struggle with the design process for many reasons. What others will think, doubt in if anyone will like it. Fear of rejection I suppose.
Anyway, the coffee table isn't for me... no room for it really. I want to sell it on... but something you said in the original build video was that you ask for the credit for the design. Are you happy for me to stamp your logo on it somewhere? "Designed by Foureyes" built by me... I have no logo so likely just end up with yours? Will this be ok?
I think I might give a Triple Crayon project a go.
Triple crayon happiness, I love your colorful projects. ❤
I've watched all the individual videos before, of course, but this triple crayon had me mesmerized for the full video duration. As an aging computer worker, I look forward to trying my hand at some woodworking someday, mostly inspired by youtubers like yourself.
As another tech worker in my 40s who started exactly like that, I say go for it!
I fell down the DIY/woodworking rabbit hole on here, and then one of my friends learned about it and strong-armed me into making her a small mid-century-ish live edge desk on hairpin legs. It was super simple - three circular saw cuts, some bark removal, filling a few knotholes with 15-minute epoxy, a ton of sanding, couple coats of finish, and then attaching/shimming the legs - and the satisfaction of completing a project with your own hands is just something else.
Since then I've done a few other smaller DIY bits and pieces - replacement feet for my bed, a sawhorse-mounted plywood worktable, pegboard stands, etc. - but we're about to move and I'm getting super excited about putting together a proper workbench for the garage that can house a small table saw and other shop tools 😁
The best part of starting late is you can afford decent tools right off the bat, and there's an insane wealth of knowledge to tap into here and on other sites. My best advice to you now since you're already computer-literate is to check out woodworking-specific tutorials for design/CAD software - SketchUp, Fusion 360, OnShape, etc. - and start playing around with designs for something you'd like to make. Or you can always buy one of Chris's build plans and dive in with that!
Really enjoyed your triple crayon tables, and the kid’s sketch. Thank you!
Definitely some of our FAVORITE builds!
Triple Crayon… that last one with the crayons was my favorite. And making your son’s drawing come true was just awesome.
Beautiful! I am so glad you redid the top, there is no substitute for real wood 😊❤
I enjoy planning new projects slowly over time, too... anticipating the moments!
There's a whole big sky of art in this video, great
This triple crayon work is so cool. Thanks a lot for your videos! Your designs are always refreshing! ❤
I'm likely not the first person who has said this, but you are truly the Charlie Brown of woodworking.
Really digging the multi-frame, comic panel video cuts. I feel like that's a new thing.
Triple Crayon: I have been watching you for years and never even knew you did the "beam" table before, always fun seeing the creativity! The All epoxy top fix with the walnut pucks still inspires me to find creative ways to fix my mistakes!
very nice projects, the epoxy dowel was brilliant..
Your kids design defo gets the triple crown. I loved the thought you put into the last crayon table base.
Oh heck yeah. Sending this to download. I watch these when I have no service lol
Thanks for these videos, they were fun to watch and were educational too. I really like the rendition of your son’s drawing. Keep them coming. Triple Crayon.
Truly enjoyed this video and loved your comments. Triple crayon builds are my favorites.
LOVE your boy's drawing made into a real thing!
I really like the Crayon pieces. I can see there being some brand identity in that. The Triple Crayoned is my favorite.
Triple Crayon 🖍️ every piece is perfection. The piece you did off your sons rendering, is invaluable. He always remember that you did this piece for him, from his design. ❤❤❤❤
Weird to see the garage and driveway again, feels like forever ago
Triple Crayon - I don’t mind these mash ups of old video . Nice to remember these builds.
Beautiful work. Love your shop.
Awesome triple crayon table, it is so great you were able to make a cabinet of your son’s diagram. He must have been so proud of his drawing and you for making it.😊
Thanks for sharing.
Triple crayon, loved all the projects, the audio is also masterful! The quirky and thoughtful designs really mesh with my design ethic! 👍👍
I loved all the projects! Especially the triple crayon technic you used on that last project!
I’m so happy that thickni is back! It has to be my favorite Four Eyes-ism. Well that and triple crayon!
Felicitation mr vous avez fait un travail exceptionnel vos créations sont magnifiques merci de partager votre expérience et savoir-faire ❤👌👌👌
Triples are always the best!!! thank you for the share. regards, Amit
For the left over epoxy table maybe slap a sheet of glass on top and call it a day 😂
I am almost convinced that all the walnut in the world is being funneled straight into furniture lmao 😂
That triple crayon table at the end is fantastic.
Triple crayon. I can see that the black tabletop might be difficult to keep looking perfect, but I do love how it looks! I like the contrast with the wooden base, too. I prefer it over the walnut top.
I like the Lego concrete table. It’s sweet. But if my kids used it….i can’t imagine cleaning play doh or slime from the Lego’s edges and gaps. lol.
Your sense of humor and your explanations are what make your videos so enjoyable to learn from. :D
I love you man, and I love your families cameo's.
Triple crayon….The epoxy pin to join two epoxy pieces is really cool…esp how it appears like a “ghost” pin. 👍
Triple crayon back at ya'! Always seem to learn something from your videos and always enjoy the humor. Thank you!
Hi Chris
Really enjoyed your triple crayon video, it was good to see some of your early projects again😊❤
Triple crayon for the win! I’m always inspired by your creativity - thanks for all the hard work to create these videos of your art ❤
You’ve won the triple crown with your 3 crayon tables. I love how fun your work is. Please keep up the great work.😸
Looks like you had a lot of fun. Triple-Crayon.
Triple Crayon...... no..... you deserve a TRIPLE CROWN for the work you do! Loved the video and love your work! Thank you!
My sister and I have a project table that we change every year, in terms of paint. I think this year, we're going to try your triple crayon method. I'm stealing it, bro! But I have some designs I was drawing up while watching this video. Great job! Thanks for the inspiration!
At 15:30, spot on. I hit this exact mental roadblock often. Well said
I love the smell of an anthology in the morning... la mode du jour! 👌#skip
I think they all tured out wonderful triple crayon!
Triple Crown. I love these builds, but would have preferred 8 videos.. but those crayons, wow! I love the colors!
Triple-crayon, baby!!! Especially love the piece based on your son's drawing.
Can't go wrong with Blk Walnut. Great job.
Killer Bloodsport references. Underrated movie from our childhood that I reference way too much and far too few people recognize. "OK USA!"
Also interesting to see the different filming techniques over the years :)
Fun video. Thanks for sharing. I'm off to the last of the Triple Crayon in Belmont Park. Cheers.
Triple crown, definitely best. Thanks for the inspiration.
I love the epoxy dowel idea.
The wood top is amazing!
Triple Crayon. I like these anthology videos. Great edit!
i liked the all black top .. thought it was nice.. looked kinda like polished stone.. any who Whoa!!!! full on tripple crayon maaan!
Really enjoy your channel, man! Keep up the unique ideas and clean work!
Loved to projects. Thank you for our amazing work!
Your self doubt along the way only adds to your creativity. Loved all the pieces. Triple crayon
Triple Crayon...Great Work!
I feel for the broken wood with clear epoxy, it might have looked better for the epoxy to be on the bottom of the legs to give an almost floating effect, but that's just my take on it! it looks great as it is now!
I had no difficulty following this very educational and entertaining triple crayon video. Well done, sir. Well done.
I've done this for my grandchildren coat hanger. It came out nice.
Triple Crayon is the best!!!🖍🖍🖍
Love your content so much, ive always been into wood-working and your work is incredible
This was a great video. The last of the TRIPLE CRAYON tables was def the best. Great polishing. Your videos make me want to get into fine woodworking. I’m a sommelier at a restaurant and at least once a week someone tells me I should start a podcast/youtube channel because of my voice and the way I tell stories. If you have any advice I’d be very open.
Triple crayon. That was well worth a watch; entertaining as well as informative. Thank you.
Triplecrayon what a great thing for a dad to do 😊
Really like your designs.
triple crayon. Loved each one of the builds!
triple crown … but it took a couple of sittings … lots to think about and get inspired by … thanks!
I love these interesting builds. TRIPLE CRAYON! The one you did of your kiddo's drawing is so cute and I'm so happy he recognized it!
