After 7 months of driving my 2012 GMC Acadia and it driving fine one day and then having all of these issues the next... its nice to have a clear answer for once.
Mine all started with a "Service Stabilitrak warning" and "reduced engine power". For some reason, the shop/dealers are useless and couldn't figure that out for me.

I completely removed the traction control buttey and then ported and polished the excess room I had available under the main throttle body.
My throttle body also makes this fluttering noise usually when it's cold but even when the engine is hot to. I also have all the other symptoms mentioned in the video.
Would it get louder as you accelerate ?

Yes, and I actually replaced it with a new one. It's still make the same noise as I accelerate...
The symptoms you describe are related to the throttle position switch . Not the throttle body.
What might cause 2010 Tahoe to reduce engine, stability tracking to come on. Replaced throttle body, floor pedal, reprogrammed ecm sensors

Will this cause car to feel jerky, rpm going all over with random burst of acceleration. Also won't start without letting sit for a few minutes
Throttle body does make the rpm variations and engine runs rough. A faulty crank sensor too give same symptoms with starting issues. There are other reasons too. Can say unless its diagnosed properly.
This sounds more like a fuel pump honestly
Check fuel pressure regulator if its a dodge do the key jingle for hidden codes
I'm having this exact issue word for word on my 2013 bmw 535i, I really need help , I change da MAF sensor , spark plugs coils, da lil pcv valve and I'm about to change my valve cover . Is it throttle body or fuel pump???

My car is throwing the code for the ECM, I've gotten my starter & alternator both tested and replaced the battery. It's wanting to start but the flap on the throttle isn't working. Do I need a new throttle body? (I'm very guilty of riding on E often)
My idle is horrible and I’ve taken the throttle body off and cleaned it but it keeps jumping from 500 to 1000 and the car starts to shake real bad until it finds that perfect medium of 700-800 rpm and somtimes stalls like it chokes it self at a red light
Hi there, you might be having. 1. a block at exhaust or intake, 2. throttle position sensor failure, 3. dirty intake air metering sensors.
Check your sensors
Crankshaft sensor?
Clean your MAF and IACV too.
Check the ground wire. I had a bad ground to a MAF sensor plug and it caused issues like that. Oddly it didn't produce any error codes either.

For old models with cable, just a clean up does the job...new gen motorized needs a thorough checkup..if its too dirty clean em and if the problem reappears might need a replacement

Could some of these symptoms be the same if it were the Catalytic Converter that is messed up or clogged?
if it's clogged, you might see low top end power from the engine.

I have a 350z and my lights came on showing me service engine at first then my slip n traction control lights came on. Lost power to my car so I pulled over turned off the car n back on, it was fine to drive after that and only the service engine light was on. I just got the car when I first noticed something strange some white smoke coming out the exhaust. And it idles high but i didn’t think anything of it because it was a way better car than my last.

Yes both are same...throttle body is a kinda of valve.
I like my Ford generally but I have replaced this throttlebody four times. It’s a piece of crap. Ford should’ve taken care of this for the money we pay for these trucks. I don’t think I’ll ever buy another Ford.
Ford throttle body needs constant calibration and positioning...and sometimes its a head ache...but once its in shape...ford engines makes good outputs...

May be... any air restriction like throttle body clogs, air filter, sensor damages or fuel restriction like clogged fuel filter, failing pump etc.. can cause the issue. also a bad crank angle sensor. Should go through each one to resolve.

Hi there, this could be throttle body also this may happen if there's a fuel restriction ie, dirty fuel filter or failing fuel pumps. Replace the air and fuel filter if too old and give check on throttle body, air intake sensors and fuel pump or fuel line pressure.

Have stories like this from friends of mine, if the issue triggered by certain RPM or velocity, that could be caused by the valve timing issue too.. commonly the sensor
So the truck will do fine when going through gears. But when I stop at a light or stop sign, it doesn't want to go anywhere. I literally have to press the gas pedal all the way down. It's a 1999 ford f550. Please help

Hope you could shed some light, as i step on the accelerator pedal when AC is not "ON" and release it there's some kind of lag as it decreases its RPM between 3k and 2k but when the "AC" is on itgies nkrmal withoitany lag, do i have abad throttle body?
Hi there, delayed deceleration can be a symptom of sticking throttle body or idle air control valve. This can also happen if the evap system has a leak or even a vacuum leak.

I have none of these issues but got an error code. So I changed out throttle position sensor. Hopefully engine light goes away.

Yup absolutely it will show a CEL if throttle body has a problem. Mostly when tps has an issue.

A chocked throttle body cause starting troubles but may start with slight press on acceletr and also will stall when released.
07 5.3 Chevy. Either my mafs is out or my throttle body how can I tell the difference or is there any.
Just unplug the maf and drive..see if the car becomes better. If yes then surely it's the maf sensor.

Might have messed up TPS or there's a chamce for vacuum leaks. Try calibrating the sensor manually n check for loose clamps or broken pipez

I guess not. As a preventive you could just clean the throttle body n air intake sensors.
yes it absolutely can. "I guess not" is not a professional answer. If your throttle body is very dirty, or actually damaged it will give you power loss, and it will prevent you vehicle from gearing normally, causing a slippage sensatiion, or you might actually feel the vehicle jerking. Hope this helps.
Din mention the power loss. If there's a huge power loss he must have noticed that too. And its tru if vehicle does not produce power gear shifts go rough.
Yes, my 2010 fusion felt like the tranny was slipping. Put on a new throttle body and it worked fine.
Interesting....same here. Slippage feeling between 2 and third.... Also vibration in idle (mostly in D/R engaged)....

I have a 2006 GMC Sierra andI got the throttle body fixed because the mechanics computer said that's what was wrong. My truck was acting up as I excelrating my rpm was moving up and down only when going from 30-60mph and could hear an engine rev soun everytime it did it. I ended up getting a bead new throttle body put in and it still does it. Also I just got the purge valve fixed because it does a rough idle everytime I put gas in. Do you think maybe the throttle body is what was wrong the whole time maybe not being put in right. It's still doing it after a new throttle body and it does idle after gas anymore. Do I need to get the throttle body looked at again or something else. Thank you
A jumping rpm can be a reason of crank angle sensor or even transmission slipping can too cause especially im auto. If you have a wire drive accelerator pedal, the potentiometer could also do the same which messes the throttle body up. Have to diagnose it properly and professionally.

Do check if its covered in dust and gently try to move the valve...it should move freely with no stickiness. Try cleaning and if it does not work...there are other sub parts like tp sensor, motor failure if electronic, pedal position sensor issues etc...

Can this cause a Nissan Maxima to go into limp mode. Or pressure issues with the transmission?
If the engine goes to limp mode, its mostly bcs of engine malfuction and not transmission malfuction. There are many reasons for the car to go safe mode. Its a good idea to scan the vehicle first so to get the fault code stored by the ecm.
Yes to both, it can cause your vehicle to go into Limp Mode, and it can play around with your transmission causing a jerking feeling, or slippage.
I did cam swap but mine truck stalls when parked It losses power.

Yup I have vauxhall zafira 1.9 and I was driving on the motorway soon as I got too 70mph I lost power and spanner symbol came up. Now before this the car been acting strange where the revs going extremely high before changing gear and sometimes I have really put my foot down to get the car going. Just had rac out they said it's the throttle body I don't know how too clean it or if it's just worth buying new part 🤔
Rpm going high is good sign of throttle position sensor going crazy or there's a vacuum leak somewhere. As the check engine light came on, could just scan the car to get the codes poped up.

Fuel rail pressure cannot be an outcome of throttle actuator or vise versa. Cant say that bcs of electronic controls. The rpm going high is because of throttle and the power restrictions may be of the fuel regulator. Best will be to clean the throttle body first as the dirt can sometimes cause valve stickiness so it wont shut properly. Do it first before swapping parts and see if anything changes.

Might be a bad thorttle body motor if electronic or a bad pedal or the cable might be broken if mechanical.
I have a 15 5.7 charger rt and this week my car started acting funny and it lost power and whenever I’m in paddle shifters mode it will go through first and second find but sometimes at third it shift automatically down to first and not to long ago I was in first trying to shift up to second but it said shift not allowed may this be a bad throttle body?

Hi, my audi a4 b7 intermittently goes into limp mode only when slowly accelerating from a stop. Car doesn't go into limp mode at cruising speed. When light turns green i just lightly pressed on the gas pedal and it goes into limp mode. There are no check engine light or codes. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Yes if the flaps are not calibrated properly can cause backfire.

Could be the throttle body especially tps or pedal position sensor. There might be other reasons but mostly related to revs comes from these units.
What causes the throttle body 2 keep flooding
It should be the carburetor type. More commonly when the float or the float needle goes bad, causes the flooding. There re other like, if its a electric pump fed carburetor, a bad regulator can cause the similar issue. If the airfuel aduster is not calbrated properly, if the fuel orifice has a problem. If there's too much pressure inside the fuel cavity inside the carburetor. If the seals in the housing has cracks or leaks or a vacuum leak.
