  • This is one of my favorite lessons of all time. It is a variation of a lesson originally taught to me by one of the great Feldenkrais teachers and practitioners: Jeremy Krauss. I love the lesson because it is deliciously weird and unusual and reaches parts that others do not. I hope you enjoy
For more information about Jeremy's work visit: www.jeremy-krauss.com
Important medical information which you should read before undertaking the lesson:
Always consult your physician before beginning any exercise program. These lessons are not intended to diagnose any medical condition or to replace your healthcare professional. Consult with your healthcare professional to design an appropriate exercise prescription. If you experience any pain or difficulty with these exercises, stop and consult your healthcare provider. If you experience any symptoms of weakness, unsteadiness, light-headedness or dizziness, chest pain or pressure, nausea, or shortness of breath. Mild soreness after exercise may be experienced after beginning a new exercise. Contact your physician if the soreness does not improve after 2-3 days.

Thank you for the great lesson. My old toes and bunions were confused and I did a lot of "pretending " that I follow you in the first part.
I really enjoyied the second rolling. part.

So much fun, my dear toes are doing whatever they want, but it's hilarious! Thank you, Stewart, excellent lesson. And rolling is so pleasant. I do it with my toddler granddaughter and we really connect through movement.

It’s fun to think what this movement is going to finish. As every day, I experienced the small movement of toes caused a big movement of my whole body. I feel good in deep of the neck. My shoulders are softened. Amazing! I start a new day with a new body. Thank you for this lesson. Have a nice rest tonight, Stewart!

Yesterday morning I felt I needed this lesson several mornings , if not I forget even this exclusive lesson. This toe movement effects quickly to every part of my body, every part, from the toes, lower spine, opening chest, shoulder blades, neck, ears and eyes! I thank Stewart for this lesson❗️A good start of a day, a week, and a month❗️

Thanks you Steward for this lesson, it was very challenging for me.
Few weeks ago I noticed my toes are flexed while walking and at rest.
There was no problem to extend the big toe and flex other four, but the opposite was so, so difficult for me.😥 I felt all my body trying to help even my hands, my mouth and jow...😱

Thank you Carme. It's amazing to discover these things about our feet and the wonderful thing is that as you bring new possibilities of movement into your toes, then so those possibilities will change your knees and hips and back. I wish you a wonderful Easter weekend.

I really enjoyed this lesson. I felt my breathing really ease and the rolling movement in the end felt very blissful. I wanted to ask you if you could recommend a lesson to help me with the feeling that I have rocks under my feet sometimes on the underside of my foot in between my big toe and the toe next to it and sometimes in between my 3rd and fourth toe . This feeling is very painful and is on the foot with a bunion. Thanks for considering my question.

I have other Fit Sit videos in my courses at www..fitsitclasses.com but also the weird and wacky lesson for the toes on this channel that you may want to explore. What I would say is that if you were a client I would be encouraging you to think about how your weight is going down into the feet and the issue with the feet may well have something to do with your spine and pelvis. Best wishes Stewart

He could do that well into his nineties asking us to point out which toe we want to see moving. Yet he was inflexible and uncoordinated like an iron board. Mom had scoliosis etc but was flexible, danced well, fast learner. Also, Dad was good in health mom was poor. So ...

Hi Lidija, thank you for your message. It's almost impossible for me to answer that question without seeing you in person and my advice would always be to see your health advisor first. The fundamental principle of the Feldenkrais Method is not to move into pain.

Wow! It’s almost impossible to move the big toe by it self and the other toes by themselves! They all go as one package. Annoying! I want to help them with my hands!😅
