  • Lesson 3 in this series (Hip and Shoulder Circles) is a great lesson to work on your balance as I explained in the introduction. The movements are quite simple to do yet can be very powerful in their effect.

Such a big difference on my right side compared to the left side after doing he first side. I could really feel how half of the body came down to the floor, really nice!

I don't mind responding at all. Am always interested in students progress 😊 I absolutely do believe the stick lessons will help with those issues.

Don't under estimate the phisical quietness of this lesson, this lesson is very powerful to align, , I did it once, and wow, it is mind blowing that such minimalist movements can have such a high impact, on the structure, alignment and behavior, (I have a lumbar fusión) but it was, for me, a not yet lesson. I am re-educating a rinocerontious body, that was too brute, and hurt. I am truly impressed with feldenkrais, and the "hey mind teach this body how to reorganize properly" Thanks Stewart.I am for the moment in unglue your shoulders'and slowly checking your other lessons and precheck them to see if they are doable. You are a fab teacher!

Your videos are excellent! I love your instruction, so clear and detailed. I can't believe you received comments (you said on another video) that you were asked to not talk so much. The instruction is necessary and doesn't detract from my practice.

Every morning, every single morning since I found this channel, I can’t take off from your lesson. The lesson was too sensitive and complicated, listening to you, looking at you, doing at the same time, it was too difficult, but once movement goes rhythmic piston work, then it was much fun!

Very helpful. Thank you for taking the time to make this. Hip and shoulder circles was a fun challenge and opened up a new range of movement possibilities as well as relaxing my chest.

Thank you so much Jill. I was worried about the lighting as it was such an overcast day. I have some new lights so hopefully that won't be an issue in the future.

Thank you 🍀🌼, next time I will start with lying on my right side, as my weaker side is left, and I wonder how different left will feel.
I feel definitely lighter on both anyway 🎉
Some teaches are mostly doing the exercises from sitting position, could your lesson be done from floor sitting position, please?
( I sometimes get headaches if i lie down too long but i love your lessons tremendously and don't want to switch to another practitioner as they don't have such straightforward classes ❤)

Hi Poczytam, thank you for the message. If it feels better for you doing the lesson in sitting then I would definitely try that. I have taught similar movements as part of my Fit Sit lessons. Have you given any of the Fit Sit stick classes a try? I think you might find them very interesting

@@stewarthamblin thank you, I will have a look, although I am mostly focused on mobility of my hips and shoulders as they're the biggest problem areas causing me migraines. Do you think the Fit sit classes would also help to retrain and improve mobility in hips and shoulder - if you don't mind me asking, I'll understand if you are too busy to answer 🍀☺️

I just couldn't do the last movement, circles in opposite directions.😔 So I did a circle in one direction with my shoulder, then I did the circle with my hip towards the opposite direction. Is that ok?.✌️
