I have trauma/injuries in my right ankle and left knee that make it really hard to find movements that fully engage the muscles of my ankles and knees. While I found this lesson very challenging, especially when one leg was straight while 'painting' with other foot, it woke up a lot of awareness in my legs that I hadn't found in any other movement. Thanks so much. I'm going to be doing this one for a while as I really process the new awareness these movements bring.

Thanks so much for taking the time to comment Hannah. I use a variation of this lesson too for students who have had hip or knee replacement surgery. It's such a good lesson for 'waking' up healthy movement patterns.

How exciting and difficult lesson I had this morning! I would like to only repeat this until my body learns, it means to me my body can follow you smooth and comfortable. I will try. Yesterday I had enough time to try those three newer lessons, very lovely for the whole body from top to bottom. It is a challenging year.

I tried this lesson yesterday morning. It was very difficult. I repeated in the evening, yesterday and this morning I started with this again. As I repeat the lesson, I’m getting more English and better painting on the floor but impossible on the ceiling. I feel my life is happier and smoother.

The last one week I repeated mainly no.1 and several parts of no. 2. I notice that the body changes daily, even such a small thing is a new experience with me. Many words to be checked. In this way, very slowly, I am learning your teaching every day. This morning I enjoyed both 1 and 2. I feel good. Thank you.

Thank you! Another amazing lesson. My feet are warm and alive! In both this and the Happy Hips 1 lessons I got what feels like a chiropractic adjustment at the top of the left side of the posterior pelvis… a series of little pops. Which is exactly where I am stiff in the mornings. Feels so good!

Hi Stewart, I have been doing plenty of your classes the last year and I love them! Thank you so much! the accuracy and the precision in you explanations helps my body to explore and it does magic with releasing tension. This class was particularly good for improving my handstand, I have worked alot on my handstand and this really gave me a greater sens of stability in my hips. Amnd I was able to hold it much longer then I usually do, it even made me able to create shapes with my legs, going from tucked position to straight legs and alternating between right and left. I also really enjoyed the balancing object on my foot to discover how ankle can work, I can play around with that for hours 🙂

I also have courses on my two websites www.stewarthamblin.co.uk and www.fitsitclasses.com. In addition to those resources I have written two books which take the beginner student through a series of sequenced lessons which I know many people have found helpful. If you haven't tried them yet, I would also suggest that you explore the Fit Sit stick videos 🙂🙏 I wish you all the best as you embark on your Feldenkrais journey

It was a big difference between my left and right foot when balancing a book. It was so much harder on my left foot. I know that it has been more stiff than the right and it was very clear now. First, I almost couldn’t balance the book at all, but it got better when I had trained some times.
