  • I seem to have a thing about golfers at the moment - I think because so many of my students are - but, if you are golfer, I suspect you are going to love this lesson. If you are not a golfer, then don't worry, because this is an all-in-one lesson that reaches parts that other lessons don't. It contains some really interesting movements for the hips and spine and some really wonderful twists that help to elongate the spine. Its the first in a series of lessons that build on each other that I will teaching over the next couple of weeks. Here in Rutland my students appear to have loved it. I hope you do too.
It is based on AY 468 Extending the arms with standing the foot on the lower leg
Important medical information which you should read before undertaking the lesson: Always consult your physician before beginning any exercise program. So many different sensations are flooding in as I do the movements! It's quite a job to retain awareness of them all! I am in awe of how you are able to explain the movements so lucidly as you are doing them!

Wow. Amazing lesson. I'm a dancer and have been experiencing a lot of stiffness in my left side. This series - and this lesson in particular - has helped so much to release some of that tension as well as help me to dissociate my upper and lower body. Thank you so much for sharing these lessons.

A great video. I'm currently recovering from a multifaceted injury which manifests in various parts of my body. The result of many years of poor movement habits essentially. I was previously a musicians and have had to take a break from performing. I'm receiving a lot of benefit from your videos and am feeling a lot looser and happier in my body - thank you very much for creating this resource.

You are very welcome Esther. I have been contacted by a number of dancers who have found this particular series helpful. I sadly am not a dancer. I did once attend some adult ballet classes at the Pineapple dance studio in London and I loved all the stuff at the barre but when it came to putting it all together and moving around I had all the sense of rhythm of a drunken hippopotamus!
