  • Everyone wants to be more flexible! Why is that? I tell you few fun facts about why being flexible is important, aside for being useful for dancers (this comes with the job description):
    -It improves posture and relieve tension, You will smile every day!
    -It prevents injuries because of the wider range of motion
    -It improves blood circulation and oxygen flow. More smiling for you!
    -It lengthens your muscles and you will look, taller, leaner and more confident.
    -You can show off at parties by pulling your leg to your ear…make sure you wear pants!
    Make sure you do a good warm up to get those muscles flown and chewy and let’s get flexible! Have Fun!

      I am way worse than that if I don't stretch daily. I progress amazingly fast if I do it daily or every other day, but if I don't my natural stretch is very little above 90 degrees...Might be anxiety related(keeping my muscles tight?) or it might be genetics, but there it is...Will work on the video though, if I have to stretch daily, I'll just get back in the habit

      She never stated, but should have, that the knee doesn’t need to be touching the torso. It only need to be flexed to the torso and held in place. If that means your arms are fully straight and your hands are behind the knee, then that’s your version of this. That is, until you can get more of a full hug around the up leg.

    I never cursed (not at you) this much through a video. I have horrible flexibility and I ended up doing this when my muscles were already hurting because of a new excercise. (bad idea because I can barely sit up or stand due to the pain) But still this video is pretty good and I am totally going to add this to my schedule once I get better. 😅

    • @siribaimusic
      @siribaimusic 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      you don't have to make your legs straight for this to be effective. She says it in the video that if your maximum is "here" with a bent leg than strive for a little bit more each time. And that it's okay to bend your bottom leg if you need to in order to get your thigh close to to your chest. And it's supposed to make your legs shake because you're working the muscles and building strength as well as flexibility! the contraction helps the release!

    I have been struggling so much with my hips on the second exercise! And what’s frustrating: I know it won’t be better cause the struggles appear due to my scoliosis which won’t get any better. It’s not bad enough for a surgery though (and also this would mean not doing ballet for a really long time), so I guess I’ll have to live with my hip issues and keep fighting my way through the exercises!

    I really love your stretching series Alessia! Because of my health i can't do any intensed workout so i replaced them with these stretching exercises and my body changes a lot. I hope you will do more stretching exercises with hip, back, legs and shoulder in a long total body video so that i can do it everyday. Love from Vietnam

    Great, I'll incorporate these into my usual stretch/exercise routine. I think it's important for us males as they may help prostate and help keeping supple...
