    In this video I'll guide you through a series of simple exercises that anyone can do, that will help improving balance and body coordination.
    Balance exercises help you improve health, mobility and confidence. With constantly shifting your weight back and forth you’ll get more familiar and comfortable with being able to balance in different positions. Balance has to be trained along with strength, endurance and flexibility, it will keep your body and brain fit and healthy not only for the duration of your career but life.
    Having good balance is important for everyday life, not only dance, we do many activities throughout the day as simple as walking, leaning over to tie up our shoes and going up and down the stairs. Balance exercises can also benefit older adults to prevent falls and fractures. For dancers balance is a key element.
    These exercises will help you bringing awareness to your body through space, improve agility and reaction time in your muscles, improve coordination, promotes joints stability (ankles, knees,hips and shoulders alignment) therefore can prevent a whole spectrum of injuries including sprained ankles and knees problems.

    I have never done any thing in a ballet. I am a 75 year old "gym rat" who has engaged in numerous aerobics, yoga, bosu ball and balance workouts. Despite my age I am in relatively good condition. This was indeed one of the tougher (if not toughest) balance exercise workouts I have done. It will take me a long time to master (even with modifications) this routine.
    This is an excellent balance routine.👍

    Not only did the exercises help a lot, but I never thought about how much force and where you're looking. This was great!

    This is helping me with my pirouettes immensely! I've had a hard time popping up too fast and was in desperate need of learning a way to control the way up. I loved the last exercise especially being in parallel, its helped my mind grasp how to pop up correctly. Thank you so very much.

    I’ve recently got back into dance after a four year break (I moved and couldn’t attend any new studios because they weren’t close enough) and I lost balance and flexibility but I’ve added this to my dance playlist and my balance is going to increase day by day with these. I LOVE calf raises so much lol so that first set was everything

    And that's why I love ballet. Ballet is so beauty. Girly and just amazing. Definitely my favorite dance. I feel so gentle and girly when I put my balerinas and start dancing or doing some exercises and I love it.

    • @em_dillemma
      @em_dillemma 3 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      I agree that ballet is absolutely beautiful, but I personally don’t see ballet as a “girly” sport. The gender of the dancer shouldn’t matter that much compared to the dancer’s skill, technique, and above all, the amount of emotion put into dance. Dance is for anyone, no matter the age, gender, or personality of that person, and that’s one of the reasons I love it. It’s such a diverse art and I think it’s really cool. Just my thoughts on the matter, have a good day :)

    • @bryce4395
      @bryce4395 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Day 4 - easter break!
      Day 5 - I'm either lazy OR doing this every day isn't actually the greatest decision. Did 1 set today, barely. Idk, I stopped feeling it much, and I'm wobbling through the whole workout:( Plateau? Probably. Verdict: weak upper body and calves. I'm not using my back or my abs, and I'm too weak to hold myself up.
      Did 1 set today, barely. What I want to do is make an upper body day, a lower body day, and a barre day, with tabata cardio stuck in whenever I feel like it. I will also write down things I'll do just throughout the day randomly, and this workout is one of those. Will I try and do it? Yeah. Big pressure? Nah. I'll go and create my workouts now:)
