I love how Sony apparently has "world class developers" yet they wouldn't be able to handle PC and PS5 versions simultaneously... according to fanboys.
Or Xbox, because they're still such different platforms (no, they're really not, this was sarcasm)

It works for Rockstar, doesn't work for others. It makes easy revenue "LATER" but it doesn't actually increase sales because you make people just no longer hyped. Yes, you'll get some, but I am not hyped to play Ghost of Tsushima. I'll wait for a sale, I already waited 4 years, what's a few more months?
And the game that proves you wrong? Helldivers 2. And many games release by Microsoft saw a huge boost in sales by being released on PC at the same time. Many people like to claim Starfield flopped but it had 10s of millions of players, and over 2 million players in the early access period. Those are players who purchased the upgraded edition or the upgrade for Gamepass.
When you include all players, PC, PS, Xbox, in your pre-launch hype, you sell more copies. It's that simple. Might I remind you Elden Ring sold 20 million copies, and 13 million of that was on PC alone?
@@Xyler94 Picking out the outliers doesnt really help you. Im just telling you the strategy, its more likely people will double dip and theres usually a whole new hype cycle. Spiderman, Horizon Zero Dawn and now Ghosts of Tsushima proving that point. Even happens in the PC space with going to Epic or Uplay first then reselling it at full price on steam, where they know people will rebuy just to have it on steam.

As PC/Switch person who is a massive SMT fan. I celebrated when SMT V was announced to be coming to everything. I want the games I like to do well and as many people to enjoy them as possible. If Nintendo started porting their games I would be super happy that everyone gets to play them. These people are just crazy to me

Going to leave this message here: I'm a guy from one of the delisted countries when it comes to PSN Bull. The game was on my wishlist on steam and planning to buy it as it releases, We all know what happened. The game is amazing now that I played it (using the old ways if you know, you know), feel sad that I couldn't show love to the devs by buying it. Big L for SONY. And also feel sad that I can't use steam to play it because I suck for achievements for single player games.

Its hilarious to see ps fanboys bring up the attach rate for games compared to the install base. Not sure they realize that bringing up that point just proves that ps fanboys dont buy the exclusives they brag about. Most of their exclusives have an attach rate of only about 10%, maybe 15% for the more popular ones. 😂

The ship is sinking, it doesn't matter how they cope, it's inevitable. Sony wouldn't be putting so much into their PSN and porting that to PC if they had faith that the console would continue. If there is any future for Play Station as hardware, it can only be as portable, and that's not even close to a guarantee the way things are going. My PC cost $1500 to build in 2015, with the occasional expense to upgrade and being that I've been able to sell my old parts, NOTHING has come anywhere near close to the price of a new console. Exclusivity is ending, Squeenix is at the forefront of that and every developer will follow after they see the profit gain from not holding out from a massive part of the consumer base. PC will end up setting standards for these companies that they will have to meet, no longer will they just be able to throw shit to the crowd and hope it sticks.

I will never understand why some ppl feel emotionally offended when “exclusive” games go to another platform. I’d be so happy if everyone could play PS games and ps owners could play Xbox games. I think it’s a great thing when other platforms gets a title. I don’t own a pc but usually from what I see, PC games on a good gaming pc is usually better than the systems.

Im a first time player and i'm loving the game so far. gorgeous visuals, amazing story (Just got to act 3) and the combat is great! The game doesn't feel bloated with side content and all of the side content I have done so far has an actual purpose of making me stronger or unlocking new stuff. Amazing game

Is it a massive PC launch ? I mean on steam DB it had an all time peak of 77k players..... Im not hating on the game as I owned it and beat it on Ps4. but its peak player count never went over 100k I wouldn't really call that massive.
