Redfall was dogshit, Starfield had so much hype just to be the worst Bethesda game I’ve ever played and HellBlade looks to be just as bad. I was hyped for Indiana jones until I saw the trailer, the problem with both sides is that you just wash away any negativity as just being fanboys of the opposite. I have a PS5 and an Xbox Series, and as someone who just cares about good games, they’re both lacking rn.

The fact that there are people out there who still believe exclusivity is a good thing is baffling. It's been prove time and time again that multiplat games sell better than if those games were exclusive to one platform. ff16 and rebirth did not meet squares expections because of it.

So yes il agree there's nothing bad with a game being 6 to 8 hours long but for me the issue is when games are the price of £50 and is only 6 to 8 hours long there are games for same price or cheaper that's a lot longer for example boulders gate 3 I think a game should be longer for those prices could you reply with your thoughts on this would like to hear them

I quite liked Hellblade and I don't really like narrative based games with hours of movies in them, I prefer to be doing stuff. But, it has an interesting story. I have a feeling that the series will end with the whole thing being a delusion. Spec Ops: The Line has a good story, that's well worth a go.
Also, I find it funny people are mocking a 7-10 hour game. As a Nintendo fan, people were fine paying $60 for a remake of Mario RPG, a game that can easily be beat in 10 hours while still doing side stuff!
And that was made for a fraction of the price on 2015 hardware, not 5 years worth of effort put into the most cutting edge tech they could in UE5.
It's almost like people would've complained less if they priced it at $70...
I'm at a point where I like shorter games. I've put over a thousand hours into Civ6 purely because each game lasts about 12-15 hours. I'm going to play Kena soon, I believe that's something like 7-10 hours, looks lovely BTW. Now, Kena is a AA PS Console exclusive, or was because rumour has it an Xbox release is coming. Another PS AA game with a "short" storyline is Stray, Stray is one of the best reviewed games on Steam. A lot of people either don't want an open world (me) or are burned out on open worlds (still me really) and just want to play something fun, start to finish, and go on to the next thing.
I think it would be awesome for an April fools joke if some company Release the same game under 2 different titles. Calling each one and exclusive to the other console yeah. Just to watch the fighting between the 2 player bases. Saying one game is better than the other. One in the end is actually the same game. Like the end title screen, one of the credits say the actual title

I’m just gunna be real, I like Sony’s software, but Xbox’s *EVERYTHING ELSE* is just way superior… it’s hardware (console and controller design to be specific, and it’s ability to be modded to a lesser extent). Honestly the fanbases for both are equally cringe.
I'll probably get a Series X at end of gen, use it as an all gen xbox disc spinner. I'll activate Dev mode and run emulators on it. I'm going to play PS3 games on it at higher resolutions and frame rates than on PS3, I wonder if a PS4 Emu comes out for it. Then you can have 4 each generations of MS and Sony, and all gens of Nintendo too, running on one console.
Are you insane? How is the controller way superior?? The PS5 controller has haptic feedback, touchpad and even a gyroscope. None of these are in Xbox controllers. Only the layout is arguable that is totally subjective. I also use Xbox for my PC but the Dual Sense is a much higher end controller.

Playstation analogue sticks have half the sensitivity as MS/Nintendo sticks. Where MS and Nintendo sticks go from 0-255 values in each of the 4 directions away from the centre point Sony sticks are 0-255 from furthest right to furthest left and from top to bottom. The asymmetrical layout is also better, it's more comfortable and makes the transition between face buttons and right stick more natural along with the right trigger and bumpers being more natural when used with the right analogue, like in FPS games for example. I learned why I hated PS controllers the moment I plugged a wired 360 adapter into my PS3 (which took an adapter, it's not as simple as just being a USB controller plugged into a PC), it totally and fundamentally changed how Gran Turismo played, a game I hated up until that point.

I really don't want to give fanboys any credit, but yeah, if we are strict with the definition of exclusives, and with any kind of definition, we should be, then yeah, this game isn't an Xbox exclusive, as much as Microsoft wants to push this narrative, if any game is on more than one platform, it can't be considered exclusive, even if it takes a while for it to be multiplatform, like the Sony PC ports, they used to exclusive, now they aren't. Breath of the Wild is not an exclusive as it's on two platforms, even if they are made by the same company, with PC things get weird, any computer to be used by a single user at a time, regardless of OS is a PC, that means that if a game is on Windows and Linux, but not phones or consoles, then it can be considered a PC exclusive. Same goes for phones, Android phones and Iphones are by definition smartphones. With PCs and phones you can also make the argument that each OS can be considered it's own platform, and you would be right too. Especially if you include the weirder and outdated stuff like microcomputers and windows phone. Even if we want to go the route of "it may be on PC, but the console version is exclusive", what even is a console? A computer with a locked down OS made primarily to play games usually used by a single person? A computer... that plays games, nowadays especially, used mostly by a single person, that sounds familiar, really, the only difference they have is the OS they run, otherwise they would be the same damn thing.

@@controversialkeenan2855 why would anyone need a PlayStation 5 console? 90% of its games are now on PC or PS4. Hell some of them have even moved to Xbox like Stray or Madden, and apparently Kena Bridge of Spirits got a rating for Xbox so that’s definitely being ported over sometime this year or next year, and there are even talks about Helldivers 2 coming to Xbox (though I wouldn’t hold my breath for that one Cus Sony is greedy af and will try to keep that game for themselves for all eternity).
Xbox still has a great backwards compatibility catalogue, gamepass works better on Xbox and is still a great service, Quick Resume is a great quality of life feature, Smart Delivery is also a great feature that’s incredibly consumer friendly, the controller while not having the features of the PS5 is still very solid. And Xbox still has some good games on the platform, not as many as we would want but they are there…
Anyway, console only exclusivity is pretty much dead at this point, Xbox knew it, and now Sony is starting to follow in their footsteps. Only company that insists on doing things the old way is Nintendo, and let’s be honest, their game sales are carried by the fact that their games heavily appeal to kids.

Also to this very day I still believe that the PS4 Pro should of been what the PS5 is in hardware specs, Nothing has changed gameplay wise from those two generations, when it comes to games in general & most of the games were old PS3 versions that were just lower res & frame rate. PS5 has brought nothing to the table other more plastics in the landfill of rejected scammie hardware made by people who hate the consumer & the west for that matter.
At least with Xbox you have a more open selection of games that not even the PC has gotten around to getting on Steam or even GOG yet, Like Xbox has Rare Replay & RD1 & a few others I can't remember off the top of my head, honestly right now, Xbox is beating Sony from a passing glance. mind you both have extreme shady business practices which they're still trying to cram inside the hardware with patches & updates.
Helldivers isn't even worth playing now. They made it so each individual players progress is worth so little to the metagame that the game benefits from having fewer people playing. Almost like they're trying to widdle down the playerbase. The game is 2 hours of gameplay that you're meant to repeat for hundreds of hours but they've effectively killed the metagame thats kept that experience interesting.
Why can’t games just like…stay good after release anymore
@@unknownsoldier6731 in the case of helldivers, I think it's just because the game was so much more popular than the devs were expecting that they couldn't keep up with how quickly the playerbase was achieving objectives. While I understand if this is the case, I still think the changes they've made have been a detriment to the experience
Shame. I was going to play this game. I'll probably wait until a low discount price on Steam.
@meatpie7166 the core gameplay loop is still great, so I don't want to discourage anyone from playing if they're interested. I just strongly dislike the change to the metagame. I'd still say helldivers deserves your money more than the average "AAA" game
