Assuming TheAmazingLucas speaks for all sony ponies, the reason they act like this is because "If these games are no longer exclusives, then why do I have a PlayStation? I don't. I don't have any reason to buy a PlayStation console." That's the only reason people don't want to port PlayStation games to other consoles/PC.

I am and have only ever been a purely playstation player and i would love to say on behalf of the sane playstation community, ghost of tsushima was a brilliant game and i hope you PC players enjoy it as much as i did.

Im fine with my playstation dude, i literally dont care about higher framerates as long as im having fun, i enjoy the games i play, i have put a lot of time and effort into them and i have friends on there who i have played with for years. Every sane person is. He takes people who are rage baiting and makes content about them. It’s a stupid circle jerk. No one is mad it’s coming to PC.
I don't think that most of the console players understand that the days of consoles being their own thing are basically numbered at this point.
Microsoft combining xbox with their PC store and Valve creating Steamdeck as a direct competition to Nintendo's monopoly on handhelds are going to kill exclusives completely, since it won't ever be profitable for the developers to not release in stores that are available on multiple platforms. And Sony executives are not stupid and also see the writing on the wall by ditching their exclusives.
The console hardware is still going to sell to some capacity, since that's just how some people prefer to play their games, but I can guarantee you that in 10 years from now we won't speak about "PC game market" and "console game market" since it's basically going to be one and the same.
Nintendo will be the big holdout there. But their a weird anomaly in general so idk.
I think timed exclusives are still going to remain a feature. And console exclusives will always be a thing as long as studios continue getting bought out by the console manufacturers.
Funny part is at that point PC will be the only one with exclusives, indie games and such

Lure in people with exclusives
Sell an underpriced console
Make back your money by selling more expensive games
Keep releasing exclusives to lock them into your platform
But it's becoming more and more apparent that the hardware is increasingly a smaller and smaller fraction of the revenue, so this business model loses its point.
Also add to the fact that in the post-covid global economy people are more turned off by the high price tag console AAAs when they can buy many of the same games on PC for less.
If anything exclusives are going to become store exclusives (like Epic Games Store does) not platform exclusives.
Both Sony and Microsoft were on a shopping spree for game companies in recent years, but they did not make any of them console exclusives.

@masoncarothers6515 Yeah, I think they recently added it. Although, there’s a bug going around that has been deleting people’s digital PlayStation purchases so you’ll want to wait a while just in case.

When just the 4090 costs 3800 AUD and Playstation kids who spent $900 on their entire gaming system try to claim PC guys wouldn't fork out 100 bucks for a game lol. As someone who builds and sells gaming PC's for a living ... I haven't seen anyone pirate anything for the last 10 years.

I am so genuinely excited to have Ghost of Tsushima on PC, I played it for the first time when a friend sent me money for it as a birthday gift, and now it is one of my favorite games of all time. I'm so excited to upgrade my computer, in all due time, so I can play it in its full potential glory. Also, the MODS! Oh my lord, the mods are gonna be great. Now, I go back to huffing the copium of Bloodborne PC. It'll happen eventually...right? If Ghost of Tsushima can get it four years after its release, surely Bloodborne can too...right? Right?!

I remember the meltdown the Sony Pony displayed when Nioh and Neir automata/Horizon were on PC or going to pc. They broke their discs and posted snapshots seething that pc gamers can play the same game with better features and performance.

That's just childish nonsense and bs publicity stunt. I can safely say that even the most die hard PC gamers are not like that.
Ghosts was only realistically outside of Bloodborne and Demons Souls the only Sony exclusive I've been waiting on for the longest time to get ported. That's mostly because I love that era of japanese history and with Shogun airing as well it just increased my hype for it.
My hope is also that Rise of the Ronin will also get ported sooner rather than later. I don't mind if I have to wait 8+ months like we had to do with Nioh 1&2.

"Pc gamers don't deserve this"... huhum, we saved Days Gone from the failure, so i think we do deserve GOT. In fact, it's a video game, a really great one, but it has nothing to do the right do play a game or not, to deserve it. They are so dumb, those who thinks like that.
I think they're butt hurt that they paid $700+ dollars for access to Playstation exclusive games, only to see them come to PC 4 years later and suddenly they feel like something that was special reserved for them is now accessible to people who aren't into console gaming. Like, what's special about a Playstation if you can get the same content with better graphics on a PC? Why even buy the Playstation? I mean Steam Link lets me play games from my couch exactly as if it were a console. This effectively devalues the console and thus negates the rationale for purchasing one. So, they feel like something is being stolen from them, since they have such a sunk cost. However, 4 years is a more than reasonable amount of time for a game to be "exclusive" before being ported. Stop the butt hurt. But also, people will turn anything into an opportunity to get tribalistic and partisan. Like, these are video games, guys. It isn't your whole identity.

The moment the people behind Sony realized the amount of money they could acquire, they said: ... this is a freaking money machine!! Let's start selecting the next one!!!.
Seriously, many people I know always gave me the advice to never fall in love with a brand, this is a clear example of why.
Seeing these kinds of comments from these people makes me think, they forget that they are companies, not exactly your friends, they seek to make money and increase those profits as much as possible and that is what they are doing, otherwise they would simply stick to maintaining the games that their I created a division for just that console, just as Nintendo does and the people from this one gave the opportunity to the mobile market with some of their franchises.
These people from my perspective are just over exaggerating and take it too personal with the "This was supposed to be an exclusive, why they are giving it away like it was nothing!?"... they own the game, They choose if they want to publish it outside their platform or not and you chose to buy their console to play both this and other games...

I'll be playing Ghosts of Tsushima with my 8bitdo ultimate remote. It's got hall sticks and triggers, so I don't have to worry about drift. Which is not something I could say if I were on the ps5.
I have a PS4 and let me just say that this game deserves to be on other platforms because the story is an absolute masterpiece. Everyone needs to see it!
I have all platforms...but I like the fact that all updates are inhouse in PS and Xbox...hate when I am ready to play a I need a driver update to play when I am ready to go...also console commands are somewhat tempting.

I game on Playstation, and I really don't understand why people get upset that games are going to PC. It's literally good for Sony that they're porting to the PC they are making more money off of their games, and the more money Sony makes, the more games they can produce, and I typically like the games they make so that's honestly a win.

Didn’t this game come out on PS4 originally? It is the PS5 Enhanced version that’s coming to PC but like, “PCs can’t handle it” what… we have games from UE5 that could never run properly at 30 on a console. It would have to be scaled down to get it to function properly.
Only real complaint about it coming to PC, is that it didn’t happen sooner. Hopefully Sony starts releasing their games on PC at the same time as PlayStation, that would be a dream come true.

Toxic fanboyism sucks. People should be happy that people get to experience a game they got to enjoy about 4 years before them.
There are PS5 gamers that claim that we PC gamers are port begging. Someone should these children ( who are begging their parents for console in the first place ) that we have like 50,000 games to choose from. Our backlog is so huge that most of us don't bother with buying a game at launch anyways. And even if we don't get ports, we'll emulate. It may even take a decade but we'll still get all the goodies of PC gaming like Ultra wide, custom graphics and unlocked framerates in every exclusive game.
As I've said before, games going to pc really makes their console feel worthless to them, even though the majority of games available on console are already on pc. Even though they have a million and one other reasons they'd never game on pc.
I love ghost, one of my favourite games of all time, im a big playstation guy but i just dont get the crying of other ps fans, im just happy more people will be able to experience this MASTERPIECE!! plus the mods will be cool.

I always suggest waiting until it isn't worth it. Example, a 3 year old game that has 80% off on a sale probably won't get any cheaper,so just buy it.

Im a pc player and I've paid for every game I own. Red dead 2 i paid 60 bucks for. God of war was 49.99. I don't know why people think pc players get their games for free. Maybe some due but not the majority.

I'd say thats highly dependent on how many Open World games you've played. Minus the aesthetic, Ghosts is a pretty mediocre game to the point that I'd recommend you play all the other Sony ports before this, yes, including Days Gone.
