I own a PS4, I own Bloodborne on PS4, heck I've been doing a new playthrough on my girlfriend's PS4 and her copy of Bloodborne because she wants to see the game and loves the art style but isn't the biggest fan of Soulslike games. and my honest response to these people complaining about Bloodborne emulation is "lmao cry about it." This game NEEDS to be preserved, NEEDS to be accessible on more than one piece of hardware.
If Sony will put Bloodborne on PC, I will pay for it. Flat-out, end of story, that's all that needs to be said. It's worth buying twice, to me, because I adore this game. If Sony won't put Bloodborne on PC, it will end up on PC regardless.
also the PC market is massive and Sony is leaving a frankly hilarious amount of money on the table by not bringing literally all their games to PC officially, I maintain their business strategy is genuinely stupid.

You don't need the OG source code to port a game. Bluepoint explained this years ago and they stated all you need is an original copy of the game. How they did the MGS collection!

The best part is that emulation is not illegal. If it was you wouldn't be able to download emulators anymore because the big corpos would have already taken them down like Nintendo already tried too, and failed. It only becomes illegal when you download a rom for a game, you can still legally rip your own game from the disc and emulate it lawfully since you already purchased the license to play the game, which is really what you own, not the game itself.
At this point i think sony know that bloodborne on pc would sell A LOT, maybe they will release when they are desperate for money

"Hardware battle between Playstation and PC" It's insane to me when I hear there is a battle between these two concepts because notice that the argument is never Playstation against Intel or AMD or Nvidia...
It's always PC because most PC players do not want to deal with the scumminess that many of these platforms and companies do, we want to mod our games to suit the experience we want, we want to preserve the games that we enjoy without having to deal with goofy companies and their HR A@holes, we want to play older games without having to change what we have connected to our monitors, and yes sometimes it is as simple as wanting higher graphics and framerates... The fact that people are against this idea because they want to shill for a company that, if they died, wouldn't care at all about them is insanely baffling to me

Releasing stuff on PC is the best way to preserve it. Consoles die, eventually there won't be many PS4s in circulation, or the game won't be obtainable because the store on said console will be gone. Steam isn't going anyway, and that's why my PC with high-end 2022 specs still runs the original Doom from 1993. How many people are able to access a PS1 and a copy of Doom now? Ignoring the fact it's a seperate version and kind of different with it's own quirks.
Bloodborne will in 10 years won't be purchasable on the store, and likely won't be playable anyway because all the PS4s are gonna die due to the CMOS clock bomb flaw. Once a console is replaced, it becomes obsolete, and especially Sony, they stop caring about it. They update the PS3 and PS4 to prevent jailbreaking to stop people from taking money away from them, not because of actual problems the consoles or games have.
It's hilarious to me that we're at a point where Xbox and PC users just don't care anymore, and just wanna enjoy games, and want to play everything, but Playstation users are upset by this, so much so they probably don't even enjoy playing the console anymore, they're too busy thinking about how PC shouldn't have access to it. Fucking sad isn't it?

You know what I find funny?
The PS5's security was broken before the Xbox One's security. Not because Microsoft is better than Sony at hardening their console, but because Microsoft understands that lessening the incentive to break your console's security keeps it secure. Why do you think Microsoft has no problems with people using emulators by buying a 20$ developer license?
Sony needs to learn this lesson. People will eventually do it themselves. People on their spare time for free got PS3 emulation working well before Sony could. And a PS4 emulator is getting its gears in order. That's incredible. The Fanboys who think it's a win that Bloodborne isn't being ported are just stupid. That just increases the motivation for emulation and breaking of the PlayStation's security. If Sony was smart, they'd release Bloodborne PC just so they don't give people the incentive to hack their stuff.
Edit: Also, Yuzu was shutdown because they actively promoted piracy, and got paid for it... while promoting how to circumvent Nintendo's DRM, which is illegal. And due to the greed of the Yuzu devs, we nearly lost Emulation, so I'm equally happy Yuzu got shutdown. Ryujinx and many other Switch emulators still exist though!
Circumventing DRM is not illegal. It never has been. It's perfectly legal to crack your own hardware and software in the states. In regards to Yuzu promoting piracy, they never did. They specifically told people to hack their switches so that they could transfer their dumped games. The only leg Nintendo had to stand on was that with some config tweaks, the emulator could run the leak of tears of the Kingdom. Also, it's not illegal to get paid for your emulation work. Sony vs Bleem comes to mind. The software was sold at retail. You also have the android emulators which charged a fee. Drastic (now free), My Boy, etc.

I have a PS5 and have a physical copy of bloodborne. I turned it off about 30 minutes in because i refuse to play it in the state its in.
The game is unplayable at 30fps on sonys garbage plastic box.

Emulated Bloodborne is no replacement for a real port. I like playing Souls games with KBM and emulation doesn't let me use a mouse in the menus.

Not one of the console submissives are aware of the Connectix vs Sony lawsuit which firmly established the legal precedent that emulation is legal. Sony cannot do anything about this even if they wanted to, they lost decades ago.

I suspect that Bloodborne was sorta tossed together. Its total exclusivity meant it couldn’t sell as many copies. Sony and From both expected it to be mostly a means to sell PS4’s to hardcore From fans. From wasn’t sure people would like the total redesign of their gameplay. The exclusivity may have also caused both parties to believe that the other would be responsible for backing up the source code.

I'll say this as a sane ps fan. If Bloodborne were to release on PC that'd be a free money from me(maybe not right away but if i got the money 100%). Although bloodborne isn't my favorite from game a remaster or remake would be so cool, like imagine seeing orphan of kos cutscene revamped thatd be soooo cool or ludwig design becoming even creepier. Sometimes I hate companies and while I got a ps5 for spider-man 2(which imo was good but nowhere near spider-man 1) I was able to play demon souls remake which was incredible(besides 4-2 that area broke me into looking up guides for it).
Another reason I went back to Xbox, which is where I was before the PS.. nine years of the PS4 was enough

Console exclusives in general make very little sense these days.
The only reason I bought a PS4 instead of an Xbox One was because of Bloodborne. Sony just loves taking Ls in this generation.
I'm currently playing "Lies Of P" and it made me more curious of what his "Dad" (Bloodborne) is like. So, I would welcome an emulator for BB.
Plus, even if Bloodborne ends up officially in PC, especially Steam. Sony is gonna force us to get a PSN account for the multiplayer. Look what happened with Ghost Of Tsushima and honorable mentioned, Helldrivers 2.
i emulate a game because i dont have luxury to buy its console / system to play it on

One thing I'll forever hate Sony for is gatekeeping Bloodborne and waving bait infront of our face saying "You see this merch? Well you'll NEVER SEE THIS IP AGAIN".

My guess for a Bloodborne Remake/Port is that Sony is either waiting for the 10 year anniversary or waiting for a REALLY bad fiscal year to push their numbers up, or maybe they are just way too focused on trying to get a successful Game as a Service that they forget about everything else
I get a feeling it’s not even that they lost the source code similar to the original kingdom hearts way back in the day. It might literally just be that they want you to buy a modern 500 dollar minimum console in order to play the game you’ll spend full price on regardless.
Which feels asinine because you know how much money they’d make with bloodborne PC, but much like Nintendo, both of these Japanese based companies are extremely protective of their console exclusive IP’s. That also ends up feeling even sillier as more stuff heads to PC but they’d clutch even harder to the last exclusive they have.
This is the same people who prize whenever a Nintendo game is emulated
But it is a big "No No" when a Sony exclusive gets emulated

Zelda BotW ran like shit too when it was first emulated, and with graphical bugs/glitches. As far as I know, it's now playable at 8k 60fps with graphical enhancements and mods. I shudder to imagine what PC Bloodborne will be capable of in a couple of years.
By the way, Yuzu may be dead, but another emulator initiative already took its place. And Yuzu wasn't even the only emulator to begin with.
Any game, regardless of original release, deserves to be released on all platforms. I won't mind paying full price for it again.
In all honesty, why the hell would anyone spend 100$ in 2024 for a hardware that's 2 generations behind?
Yes, I rather wait for emulation than get an overpriced outmode.
