It is all in all a portable PC, although I don't know if you can use it like a laptop.
It doesn't solve the lack of AAA exclusives problem, the PC doesn't have any. Sure, it has a lot of indie exclusives (that stay exclusive only until they get popular enough to warrant a console port), but isn't it ironic that superpowerful multithousand dollars machine have nothing to show for it?
P.S. I'm not saying that AAA exclusives are necessarily better, but certainly are made to show off the strength of the machine, remember Crysis? The best a PC can show off today are console conversions in higher resolution and at a higher frame rate, no more than that.
A modern Crysis would embarrass any console, but there's no financial interest to make it. In fact, the original crysis got re-made and ported to the PS3/360. Embarrassing.

That isn't always guaranteed peasant, because releasing a game on console costs a lot and most indie devs can't afford it, which is the result of the closed nature of the console where the console manifacturer demands a lot of money.
Meanwhile it costs almost nothing to release games on PC, which is why most indie release on PC first and may port a game on console if they can afford it.
Also, my dear peasant, you appear to not realise that there's entire game genre's that are completely absent on console, such as RTS and point and click games.

Also, only the price point of entry into PC gaming may cost more than the console, but PC gets cheaper overtime, as after you got it you can upgrade, meanwhile on the peasant stations you need to get a new console everysingle time console manifacturers tell you it's time to upgrade and you have to spend full price to upgrade.
In addition to that, you need to pay more for games on console and you need to pay for online, so in the end you spend 1000$ and more on console, so long term you save money by playing on PC.There's no concept of generations on PC, you can upgrade whenever you want.
As for what PC has to show, here's a small incomplete list: mods, best performance and graphics, customizability, ability to change OS, ability to use all input devices, backwards compatibility, emulation, customizability of ingame experience, ability to fix bugs in your own, you know, all the stuff unavailable on console.
You might feel offended for being called a peasant, but when you are going out of your way to lie about PC for the benefit of console manifacturers, that makes you a console peasant by definition.

And speaking of console, we are back at games locked at 30 fps and not even on 4k, but on sub 1080p resolution or 1080p resolution. This bad performance doesn't show the strenght of the machine, quite the opposite.
Also, when the exclusive is ported to PC, that exclusive runs better on PC than on console.

In 2008 or 9 I started installing Halo Custom Edition on the school computers, by the time I graduated in 2010 we had it either installed or bootable off a flashdrive on almost every computer. We had multiple lobbies all full with 16 players with teams being divided by classroom. Art class vs Video Editing class were some of the most fun games I ever had🤣

You can't pop in your PS1, PS2 and PS3 discs into your PS5...those previous gen games have to be repurchased digitally or streamed in the case of PS3 games or on PSPlus that you pay a subscription to and you don't get every previous gen game

Funny. A PC can play near ALL its own games ON TOP of eventually emulating every console in living history WITH mods, and FREE online multiplayer. All up to 8k if you really wanted. What more could you possibly want?
If your pc is powerful enough, you could basically be emulating ps3 and ps2 games at 8k 60 fps.
Something people don't talk about enough is community servers that exist after offical ones go away. Setting up a server just for friends is surprisingly fun

About the Dual Sense on PC there an app called DSX that you can use and configure the controller to use any of the Dual Sense features like Hapitic feedback and triggers and you can change how it reacts and it changes the controller to work with games that only work with 360, PS4 controllers or any game with a controller support; you can change the lights on it too and can use Bluetooth or wired 😊
but it's unofficial. I don't get why Sony doesn't make a simple PC driver.

Kinda funny how you can use a console controller better on pc than you can on the console it was meant for.
Yet windows and Linux os exist. Which supports more games and are less intensive on the hardware. I mean the Switch, and Playstation os are just a slog to navigate with the stuttering and wait times. Any modern PC easily hits 144hz+ on the desktop.

I was born in 1997 and I still remember windows 98 and window xp it was easy to use.
So, more false narrative about PC being more complicated, expensive, etc… which hasn’t been true since the early 90’s. Got it… From Windows 95 (never used 3.1) and up, PC has been exceedingly easy to use. Heck, even Linux is super user friendly these days for the most popular distros.

About the cloud saves I want to tell a story. I bought a PS4 pro in 2018 because I wanted to play the new god of war. I played on my laptop before that, so I came from the PC to console for the first time. After a year the power source broke on the PS4 and I had to replace the console. After I got the new one, I booted it and imagine my shock when I found out that all my saves were gone. I didn't know you had to pay for ps plus to have cloud saves, I came from the PC where this was free on every launcher. So I ended up paying for ps plus because I wasn't going to start all of those games from scratch, games that I played for tens of hours.

One thing I will never understand is how people can just be so confidently delusional and false. A 3070 will run laps around a ps5 and they are both the same price at least per their original msrp. You could argue that you need to factor the rest of the pc in first but most people upgrade their gpu 1-2 times before building a new system entirely.

Playing dynasty warriors 5 xtreme legends on a ps2 emulator while listening. I’m glad I switched to pc. You and rags had a lot to do with it. My rig isn’t that great but it’s by far better than consoles I’ve played. I7 3770, Msi 1080, and 16gb ram. I can push most games I’ve played on high, usually my fps on demanding games are in the 50-60 range. As a I life long console gamer, that shit looks crazy good

The only reason I target 1080p is because that's the most my monitor can output, I will at some point in the future (the next 2-3 years) will upgrade to a 1440p or even 4K monitor.
same i'll get a higher refresh rate and resolution monitor maybe curved and bigger screen and a 2nd monitor some time soon.
To be honest, having 4K is hugely unessasary when 1080p and 4K feel way too similar at least to me.
@blackrosegodessD4C 4k and 1080p are not similar. Maybe at like 24 to 27 inches the screen size is way to small to tell. I'd say 27 to maybe 32 inches go with 1440p and if your doing typical tv screen sizes of like 55 and up then do 4k.
Ok so like... the Dualsense controller is easily the best controller this gen for PC even without all of the more fluff features it has, because it it the only controller that has a full suite of features. Twin sticks, analogue triggers, Gyroscope. and there are solutions for adaptive triggers and haptics in games which dont necessarily support them if you want. Hell because of steam input you can make better use of all of the features of the dualsense on PC than you can on console.
Also if you really want a console style interface on PC, like you need it desperatly, Steam Big Picture is right there, along with plenty of metalaunchers which acheive the same thing for multiple storefronts.

i still running one of my pc with 2015 motherboard,ddr3 slot and yet could easily reach 144 fps with medium + low setting. my god, that pc is fossil already.

My thoughts on his video.
The PSVR is an extra peripheral even if you bought it in a bundle with the PS5. therfore the bit where you talk about the pc needing extra hardware is a moot point since A VR headset is an extra piece of hardware that both the PC and the console user need. All this nonsense about the PC and having to fiddle with extra setting and such is crazy. It really is simple to install, play and configure a game on any pc and you for the most part will wont need to fiddle with any setting for the game to work right out of the box. A lot of games use an auto detect feature in the games settings to auto set your games to the best settings our PC specs let you right when you boot up the game for the first time.
99% of controllers made today are fully compatible with any PC so no nonsense about needing certain controllers, a lot of people do not bring this up enough but you realise that you do not require a PC monitor in order to use a pc. Its just a markting gimmic and you can use your TV to play on your PC with no problems. The PSN plus is the service itself with everything else being a feature like cloud saves and such.
There are like 10,000 games on a PC and that does not inculde all the old retro stuff like emulation and such. there are a wide variety of Game apps pn PC, Steam, Epic, EA, Xbox Gamepass, PSN and Ubisoft. These launchers offer more customer choice in terms of cost (cost bring the biggest factor here) and in most cases available games. Plus some companies like Nintendo very rarely have sales and you have 5+ year old games still at full price.
In the long term a PC will always be the better invesment, not having to pay for any online multiplayer is a big plus here. Think of the yearly and monthly(Monthly cost about £20 more than a yearly membership overall) cost of needing to pay to play online on console. The money that you would use to play online on console can be used to buy more games on a PC, buy a controller and help with the maintenance of your PC.

people always bring up game settings and drivers like theyre impossible and dont take 5 seconds to do pc gaming is simple and ill rest my statement at that. when you install windows install drivers. install steam. install the game. done. 5 minute fucking process i dont get it people who say pc is hard to use havent been around for the past decade
I am becoming more and more convinced these fanboys haven't actually played games on any console past the PS2 and OG Xbox era. They all seem to believe consoles don't require any sort of set up that takes a while, and require frequent software updates. Either that or they literally have someone set up the console and do the updates for them since they seem to be so stupid they don't have basic computer skills.
I have a gaming PC, bought it about 5 years ago. I think it cost in USD about 1200-1500. But yeah, it's the same thing I use for work and all games I can still play on the highest settings.
Just from this video, reasons to buy a console: You know nothing and you refuse to learn. Options are scary. Multifunctionality is scary. Thinking is scary. You prefer underhanded tactics rather than companies competing with the quality of their products and services.

@Trae Stephen I put 4 thousand into my build, also got a beefy cpu and went high end for my first build so I can emulate my physical collection of games especially on ps3s emulator on my desktop, definitely a good switch to make especially if you want to preserve your games you've collected throughout the years and have more options at your disposal, only time I use my ps5 is basically to try out some of their games my.friends have that haven't come.to pc to see if I'm interested in purchasing the pc version ounce it arrives, but definitely do 90 percent of my gaming on strictly my pc now which I've been loving the freedom to do what I wish with my software and the freedom in general
so far since getting a pc i have had one game crash once
just built my first pc all i had to do was dowload the drivers for the gpu which doesn't take that much time and download steam game took less time to download than on a ps 5 elden ring was the one that took the longest to download and setting the pc up took less time than setting up my ps 5

also pc looks easier to video editing. also does game console support multiple monitors? i have 1 ultra wide and 1 16:9 monitor
The pc has more ps1 ps2 ps3 than the ps5 and the pc has the best ps4 games on it
Agreed, my PC is a prebuilt and it works nicely, and of course if I so wish I can upgrade it so yeah, I think I prefer my PC lol
PS5 is better than a Raspberry Pi; I think that's what he meant. Because my 5-year-old Plex backup server has more graphics and power than both Series X and PS5 Pro (not yet released). FYI (Wow, New World, Lost Ark) is pc only, so that already makes this whole topic dead in da water.
