- The train from Vang Vieng to Luang Prabang, Laos, is much quicker than going by road. Good journey, too.

The train looks modern, as do the stations. Love the spaghetti western backing music
Living your best life Eddie , showing us the way.
Very picturesque, Ed. Looks like a really nice place.
Nice video Eddie. Looks like a strategic Chinese investment in Laos. Nice location. Enjoy your stay. Regards.
A beautiful country! I met a lady from Laos many years ago…great memories!
That spaghetti western soundtrack goes down really well with the surroundings
I always really enjoy the view out your window when traveling through SE Asian countryside. Thanks for that, and the more the better.
EDD love the music on the train but could not see clint eastwood lol
Love the music Ed spaghetti western stuff
Loving the adventures Eddie, felt like I was on my horse, heading for the mountains, with Lee Van Cleef, when the music entered the vlog!! Your vlogs are getting better, and better mate, a joy to share, thank you for your great enthusiasm. 🐴🐴🙏🏻🙏🏻
Thanks, mate
That train station looked like a full on nightmare. Like an airport. Damn!
When in Lao things happen. Always a mix-up gauranteed. Just smile with the adversity and move along. Be safe, Mate!
Great video Eddie. Love the spaghetti western type music.
All the best
Thanks, you too!
good stuff eddie going places with gusto
Laos is really growing on me, Eddy. Keep the videos coming. 😁
Laos is amazing. I stopped going to Thailand and always travel to Laos
Thanks, mate
Good vid Ed enjoying your trip through Laos
Great little video, i prefer a bus to a train a bit more private, thanks Ed.
Hi Ed, the train station and rail line are all built and owned by the PRC....
Yeah China has dragged hundreds of millions of people out of poverty with its high quality deals. They built one countries high speed rail network for 300 million when the rip off UK was talking of their own for 800 billion lol
Fantastic! At least they are building stuff, instead of blowing stuff up, like the Yanks...
@@jimmccann3856 , they're not doing it for the Laos benefit....they are slowly buying up countries and not just in SE Asia, don't kid yourself.
Great stuff 👏 very enjoyable.
the Chinese have pumped loads of cash into Laos and the railway is part of that investment- same in Thailand the new station in Bangkok is eeeeenooormous
Great video Eddie. Great historic town. Great night markets each night. One of my favourite places in Asia
Have fun Eddy 😊
Hope your having a lovely lovely time ed im enjoying your new life take some vitamins pal😊that's it ed no point in complaining just have a bloody good time
Thank you, I will

Very scenic ❤
Eddie trim that chest hair hanging out ur t shirt mate looks terrible. Thanks for video enjoying your random adventures. Off to Manila myself Wednesday morning from Glasgow. 3 weeks in Philippines buzzing 🐝
Check the hotel name before getting off the taxi a Tipping for it Eddy 😂
It pays to learn 😂
Loving watching your travels mate😎👌
Good music again. A train journey is almost always closer to the ideal travel vibe, than plane or bus. Good choice.
Ahh spag western muzik back....the gud the bad n the eddie...lovd it..muzik better than the vid actually lol
Great video
Hi Eddie thank you for lovely video
Great video as always Eddie love the train journey , keep up the journey travel safe, cheers mate.
Thanks, you too!
Hi ed laos looks like a spectacular town interesting vlogs you sold it well
Laos 🇱🇦 is a country, lad.
Great video Eddy! Enjoy your stay in Luang Prabang😊
Thank you! Will do!
I hope you are ok as a long time sub, I hope you have not burnt all your bridges in England because I’ve got a sneaky sneaky feeling..........
Always accurate travel log videos Eddy, you show it the way it is
Prob well aware Eddy but when I go to remote places I go into off-line maps in the google maps settings and download a map of the area.... Works when no internet...
Very enjoyable video Edd love watching your videos
Thanks 👍
Refreshing to see you travel by train for a change Ed. The civilised way to travel. Mind you, those huge railway stations look too clinical and regimented with all the queuing to enter and then to get on the platform. I'm pretty sure Chinese money played a big part in those stations. Trains look quite decent too. Prices in Pounds and Euros please Ed! Cheers!
Just convert the prices....
I like this TexWiller music 👍
Chinese have been busy in Laos it would seem. Looks good though.
I like the way you capture the chaos that is Steady Eddie 😆
Hi from Hua Hin. Looks all the same around SEA 😂😂😂😂
Your new location looks beautiful Ed... I think the taxi drivers know who you are by now and trolling 🧌 you... let's give Ed a walk! 😂 cheers mate 🍻 and enjoy!
Very envious mate Enjoy
Just a side trip Bangkok to Luang Prabang by plane when the time comes. Great videos on this trip +1. 👍👍 (Chinese-built railway and train?)
Built by China and completed in 2021
I love the adventures and the updates Eddy, but can you please tell us some costs in British Pounds once in a while instead of US Dollars. I know the dollar is widely accepted there, but for those of us at home that doesn’t help us much. I have recommended your channel to just about every English man I know. I never see an American you tuber giving us an exchange to British Pounds, or any other currency for that matter!
Also, I never met an American in the three weeks that I travelled I Travelled around Laos.
Thank you and travel safe to Siem Reap.
Eddie..We are 3rd world in transportation here in the U.S. compared to many countries. Our air flights are almost intolerable. Check the travel vlogs and expats in China. Space age compared to us. Also, the new cities. I want to experience it. But the language could be a problem.. Although some of the vloggers get around ok. But maybe a tour would be a good idea.
Offloading google maps for specific areas is really a good advice!!!
loving this
amazing scenery
Thankyou
I believe the red, white & blue speed train which does the journey between Vientiane & LP in 2 hours got so popular they had to add the green express train which does the same journey in 3 hours to meet demand.
K train stops at every station in Laos
@@mabo9636 All 3 of 'em!
Thanks ... the 'express' looks really slow, and it's dowdy inside.
Hello Ed, good video. Just a thought: you may want to include the name of the country in the title of each video. That way, people searching for info on Laos, for example, would be more easily directed to your video...and you could get more views. Truthfully I had not heard of Vang Vieng or Luang Prabang before and would not have searched for those cities if I were interested in learning more about Laos.
Just go this channel & instead of clicking on Videos click on Play Lists & you will see play list for Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia etc.
@@MikeLickorishI make no sense!!! Sticky Micky you don’t know me yet you seem to have a lot of misconceptions about me one being you seem to think I drink a lot when the truth is I hardly ever drink. We all know your a Troll though.
Eddy misses his stop next episode big trouble in little China. Eddy doing his best Kurt Russell.
Expected to see Clint Eastwood ride up with that music 😅😅😅
Nice vlog Eddy. ‘Get on with the journey’.
You just couldn't do this in many Countries. I have travelled around Thailand a bit not as much as you Ed .It is one of my wonders of this beautiful 🌎
Can travel many countries somewhat freely. Except places like Somalia , Congo, North Korea etc . I think In 2024 most counties have trains 😂. What planet are you watching from ? I should travel there sounds interesting
@@M.R.T.V.Videos try doing that in America you doughnut 🍩
You clearly don't Overstrand what I am saying. Shall I spell it out for you.Single man with suitcase would be a target in UK France America and a few others.A single man mixing with women and looking boom boom would get robbed stabbed or head blown off .Value for money try staying in and western country for 2 weeks and eating like a king and see how much money you have left. And as for 3rd world countries how ignorant of you to speak such a way. You clearly don't deserve a passport
@theharassedexpat you havent a clue what you are talking about .
@@pingemms69 sure LOL . This is mundane unimpressive activity in the exact video . What exactly is he doing thay you can't do in many countries ? 🤔
I resume my role as agony aunt. Traveling to Luang Prabang in March is simply begging for a lung transplant. For all you kids out there, do yourself a favor and wait until June. By then, the pyromaniac farmers will have had their day for another year and the sun will have started to peek through the haze.
I rode a knackered 250 from Vientiane to Luang Prabang via Vang Vieng. Epic scenery on the second leg of the journey
Did the same in 2010 on a rented Honda XR250, but also went onto Plain of Jars and Xam Noua. Such an adventure, amazing scenery and recent history.
Was it high speed rail? I know there’s a high speed line being extended connecting Kunming (China) to Singapore. It will go through Laos and Thailand.
Eddie, it would be good when you do your travel videos to maybe at the end or at some point explain the mechanics of how you got the ticket or got on the taxi how you figured that out that would be useful for us non-travelers )
Oh get a grip
I quite agree with you but it's to much trouble I think.
Just Google it you wet-wipe 😅
I think Google helps. Also, a local agent. I was able to get around Bangkok with the signs.
@@clubfillerspinkknickers9791I don't get your nasty reply. It was a honest question. Many people have never traveled. Hope we never meet.
I spotted something for little Eddy on that train!
Do you EVER arrive in a new city and NOT get dropped at the wrong hotel Eddie? Seems to be the story of your travels!
"I'm good like that" tell em Eddie
Alot of Chinese money going into Laos with the railways etc for better or for worse.
You will prefer the bus until you get a sore ass
EDD you should be saying the price in pounds your not a yank lol
There's one thing , this more moving around and exploring different places you're doing is taking your mind off of fanny . 🤭
Train line and station all built by the Chinese. Final repayment date 2350.
and heavily in debt so anything the chinese say laos does ie close the casino @boten etc
@@hachimaru295there is no more casino at Boten

21st Century colonialism ! 😂😂
Creepy or Deja Vu in Laos to be left at the wrong hotel twice on the same journey. Something is up.
Looks like China paid and built the stns and infrastructure. I didn't know there were direct trains from China into Laos. I use Google maps OFF line Ed but can just use the blue dot as reference and have my destination as saved. Anyway mate, hope all is well with you in that town. ;-]. cheers.
Good to hear from you, Ian
There is direct train from China to laos. But not this one
40000 kip is just 2 dollars in stead of 4
He corrected it on screen
Eddy this is great video if people are having difficulty falling asleep . Just watch this video & I’m sure they’ll be fast asleep
TH-cam keeps unsubscribing me from your channel Eddy. Probably happening to a lot of your subscribers
Ed. The train from Luan Prabang goes to Kunming (the city of eternal spring)in Yunnan China. When you get tired of SE Asia , China is a fascinating country to visit - nothing like the crap published in the Western media about China.
Yes. Check the travel vlogs from China. And the expats. They have freedom to move around. And their trains and transportation are amazing. We are 3rd world in the U S
Forgot .. also the lies about the Uhgar "genocide". Millions of tourist go there. They don't see it. And our government talks about banning travel there.
If I thought the China visa was easy I may have been tempted
Hainan and Hong Kong you can visit without visa@@STEADY599
Ed, Visa application is no more onerous than most other destinations. Chinese people are very welcoming and the average price for a bottle of Chinese beer is 5 Yuan ,which is around 55pence.
you must be sick of all that non stop travelling by now!
Ed is not a sponger he has earned his own cash and that is something to be proud of. @@revol148
I can see you are at breaking point (flipping your lid) i knew it would come soon..👋@@MikeLickorish
Shane, my comment was not at you it was for someone else who deleted there comment.soon after i done mine.
You have left a country that is not run by any white Brits at the top of politics anymore. Controversial topic but it seems like the only country on earth that has this situation in place for good or for bad. Just seems odd eh????
Hi What about the culture and spiritual beliefs of people you meet. What do they believe and talk about? Can we ask questions? Otherwise it's all one way traffic. Why dont you interview the people.? One trick pony needs new tricks. Why dont you cook something. ? It's up to you what you make of it. Can you film sunsets sunrises? Just saying.😊
Why don't you let Eddie do his thing - which he's great at, and get off your ass, travel, and do your thing?
Because he's a lazy vlogger , he's not interested in that sort of thing .
