Hallo Gabi. I'm sorry to hear about your grandfather, he was very old and has experienced many things in his lifetime, hopefully mostly good things. God bless him. I like your idea of living in the moment and taking advantage of life while you are in good health, me myself turn 70 this year and hope to get a few more years for travel and other fun things together with my wife. Take care Gabi. See you in Vientene

You are inspirational and today your video was very special to me. I have also been grieving for 1,5 years as my 20 year old beloved niece died. A person that lived travelling like you and me and others.
The other day I was watching your Varanasi video, also very inspirational. I'm happy being back in Thailand in April. Travelling makes you feel what is really important in life, what you need and what you love.... which makes me smile again...as whenever you say "Let's go for a coffee" I feel relaxed as I guess I had been waiting for that moment in your video.
May your grandfather be at a precious place full of sunshine.
    Thank you from Germany

I love your videos, they are so different from the rest. They are always so calm and relaxing. Everyone else has so much fluff and over exaggerated happiness about every little thing which is not realistic.
Thank you for sharing those beautiful words, so eloquently spoken. I couldn't have said it better. I hope more young people find your videos. I wish I knew this big beautiful world existed out there sooner. We always fear the unknown. But seeing you get around without knowing the language and just on a simple motorbike is inspiring. I feel in the US so many people have never even left the State they live in. They live in constant fear of the outside world, that you could get shot if you knock on the wrong door at night. I do find hope with the younger generation, with the internet and TH-cam they realize that it is a big world out there. And most people are just like them, just trying to live the best they can.

I just started watching your videos yesterday. You have an incredible presence on camera and your calm persona is very relaxing to watch. Your video style reminds me of Mickey Stotch who also vlogs in Thailand; Great video coupled with meaningful dialog and heart moving music. I look forward to watching your library on SE Asia. Starting in 2005, I traveled to Thailand for 14 years and worked with refugees, orphans and ethnic minority HIlltribes in the northern Thai mountains so I’m very partial to SE Asia. I’ve experienced Loas and Vietnam during these trips and can’t wait to return now that the world has reopened. My sincere condolences to you in the passing of your grandfather. I never knew the joy of having a grandfather as both passed before I was born but being a grandfather now gives me a glimpse of what it would have been like. God bless you as you continue to discover and enjoy His majestic creation.

Your respect and love for your Grandpa and the lessons you learnt from him show what is truly worth doing in life. Being a good person. He lived to 100 which is amazing. Good people who don't harm others or themselves is the scenery of our lives that it more beautiful and important than anything else. The goodness that exists in beings is the most beautiful thing in the whole world and you captured both the natural beauty of Laos and paid tribute to the natural beauty of goodness in your grandfather. Thanks for the video.

Regarding the death of your grandfather, I had many spiritual experiences over the last 10 years. Its been a really interesting journey for me in this area of my life. I have had many higher level experiences and developed an ability to sense energy and had contacts with other levels of consciousness. What I learned is that we are all part of a universal collective, although we are also all unique. When we incarnate into different realities it is to have different types of experiences and learn and evolve as universal beings. So with this knowledge I know that your grandfathers consciousness has moved back into its natural state of existing as pure energy, pure consciousness in a different dimension. You will see him again as we all see our friends and family when we exit here. I know what I am telling you is correct since I had many interactions with the spirits of people who were stuck here after leaving their bodies. Most of them didn't realize they were dead actually but I was able to explain to them what happened and help them transition over. Its all just the natural cycle of things but not well understood by most on this planet. Many people have been raised with many belief systems. Its only when we experience things for ourselves that we learn the truth of it. Life is everywhere in the universe, all nature is connected, we are all connected, most of us just forgot who we were. In any case understanding how it works can really help with loss. I can only share my own experiences to explain these things. I am not here to preach to anyone or tell them what to think but this is what I have discovered as part of the journey I am on. Your channel is a lot of fun and you have attracted a very spiritual following. Keep up the good work !!!

Very nice philosophic video. We incarnate into this harsh world so we can experience both our divine nature and the animal instincts which are often in opposition to each other. You can only know what's warm if you have experienced cold. You can only truly experience the unconditional love that God is when you have experienced the opposite of it - conditional love, fear, hate. Create, keep living your best live. Happy for your grandpa to have returned to our spiritual home. Life truly starts when we leave this harsh plane - or we choose to come back for more experience. Ride safely, best regards from Germany, married with a Thai woman.

Gabi I'm glad you and your drone have finally come to an understanding. No more hiding in northern Thai bushes. Great aerial footage of the road to Vang Vieng! Did I detect a smile when you boldly stated the drone has sensors to avoid hot air balloon collisions. I took the mini bus from Luong probang to Vang Vieng over a decade ago. They had a fifle strapped to the back door of the vehicle. Wild times. Vang Vieng was magical back then. Your grandfather did well to live to 100. If his quality of life wasn't the best near the end then death can actually be a release. Harder in a way for relos like you to cope with.

What a touching video. So sorry about your grandfather. He lived to 100 , what a full life he had with so many lessons to teach you. The scenery is just mind blowing in Vang Vieng. I really want to visit Laos now. Did you find it hard to get by with no speaking the language? I know you mentioned it is similar to Thai. I guess the places you visited were touristy. Thanks for this inspiring video.. and it is so true about living your life and sharing your passion.

So sorry to hear about your grandpapa.. Treasure the memories. We are always remained that life is so short. Thank you for sharing something so private about your life. It makes me feel it is okay to have those similar thoughts and to feel vulnerable. It must be a bit difficult to be away from family during this time. I am assuming this was your mother's father, you might want to call your mom a bit more often to check on her. Your grandpa was the typical Italian, very creative. The architecture of Italy is so beautiful. I hope they save some of his paintings for you. He left you a great legacy on how to live your life to the fullest.
I just watched a video of an Indian gentleman that was on the doomed plane that crashed in Nepal. He was livestreaming from the plane a few minutes before the crash. He was even smiling at the time and someone translated what he said to his friends, where he said to them, that it is a lot of fun as he was enjoying the plane ride. Flying on a plane is a real luxury for a lot of people around the world. He and his friends never thought they were going to die. But in a few minutes he was gone, he perished with all those poor souls. Yes, your life can end in a moment and it is all over, no do overs. And your Grandpa was right, life is so tough because we have to see so many of our loved ones die before us. I bet if we were told before we were born that in that life we are going to experience so much heartache and death, I am sure many will not want to come into this world. And what is sad, that in spite of all that, people spend their time being ugly to other people over silly things. You made the right decision Gabe, life is not about getting to the destination but about the journey. Take care my friend.
