    I just did this one my own last week, couldn’t find any videos on it but I did it under my own accord just to see if knock sensors were truly faulty or if my engine truly had a knock, guess what no codes so far. Than today get up and this video is on my recommendations.

    Due to these being DC and impendence involved in how info is diagnosed by the ECM, I would make sure the wires are the same length to each sensor...

    May 14 2024 hello , is the knock sensors still in the relocated place. Has the knock sensors code come back on ? What type name brand did you use ? Did you have to reprogram the ECM ( aka PCM )

    Could you tell me the size of the coupler parts you used on the drivers size

      I cannot it's been so long ago now. I just took sensors to hardware store and pieced it together.

    GOOD IDEA... TELL ME THE ORIGINAL SENSOR STILL IN THE SAME PLACE OR REMOVED

    • @2lotony
      @2lotony  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Left sensors in place. No need to remove.

    Just had these codes throw on my truck. Going to try this. Did you have any kind of noticeable symptoms of your knock sensors going bad? Only noticed it from diagnosing a sudden engine light that at first was only EVAP system. Second time I’m getting a sudden knock code on both banks not just one.

    • @2lotony
      @2lotony  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      My vehicle ran fine for a long time. First codes were mass vacuum leak, like bad gas cap etc. After replacing a few things kept getting codes, then the knock sensor popped up.

    Have you checked your mpg? Mine is terrible, 11 to 12 mpg, i think it might be related to the knock sensors???

    • @2lotony
      @2lotony  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Never noticed a change in MPG. Or drive ability. Before or after. Milage is where it always was. 16 to 20

    I have both of my sensors throwing a code. Could i just leave the old sensors where they are and just unhook the harness and install two new sensors like you did?

    • @2lotony
      @2lotony  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That is exactly what I did.

    What size plug is that you have thread in the block and then the sensor to it on the driver's side?

    • @2lotony
      @2lotony  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I wish I could remember. I basically took the new sensor to the hardware store and picked out what I needed. I am pretty sure the threads on the sensor are the same as in the cylinder head.
      Hope that helps.

      @2lotony appreciate the reply.im gonna have to try it if its lasted 4 years strong .....I've installed 2 different sets and both pop up the check engine .. what i did notice is even tho the new ones are within ohm spec when u tap to see how they react the reading are not steady like the ac delcos which I'm guessing is the reason most after market ones don't work ..... where did u get that spacer your using on the one by the exhaust?...

    What guage wire do i need to splice the harness?

    • @2lotony

      I did not have to splice any wires. Just had to un-tape harness to re route existing wires.

    • @2lotony
