    Two questions.
    1. Considering where the sump plug is, can you drain the oil with the front driven up on ramps? Looks like it would drain fine at an angle.
    2. My car is stop start. Ford say use Castrol Magnatec Stop Start 5-20W E oil, not standard Magnatec 5-20W.
    Are any (cheaper) alterative oils specifically for stop start ecoboost engine?

    • @diydaly
      @diydaly  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      yeah that would be fine mate, there are a few other cheaper alternatives that are the same spec.. you'd need to get the exact spec and check with your local factor

    • @jeremylister89
      @jeremylister89 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@diydaly because of the wet belt problem, I contacted Ford to ask what alternative oils to the approved Castrol I could use. In typical fashion they haven't replied. I don't want to use something they won't 'underwrite' in case something goes wrong with my belts later..
      Noted that the Castrol approved oil contains only 4 litres and an oil change is 4.6 litres...funny that!

    Hello from Suwannee County Florida. I have a 2015 Ford Fiesta SFE Ecoboost. I get my oil changed every 5000 miles and the radiator was flushed 10,000 miles ago. The Quick Lube by the dealership wants me to get an upper induction cleaning done. Does the upper induction service clean carbon? Also should I get this service now even though the car is running great? By the way there don't seem to be that many Ford Fiesta's with the 3 cylinder here in the States. You can look on one sight it might have 3000 Ford Fiesta's for sale and 25 with the 3 cylinder. It's nice to have something uncommon but I'm worried parts will be hard to find down the road. Main thing is upper induction service, yes or no? Thank you for the video I can do some of this my self.

      Use the correct grade of oil 5W 20 and service it at the correct intervals. Around 80,000 miles change the wet belt. It should be perfectly reliable
