Like yeah sure the game doesn't look as good as Dirt Rally 2.0, and it's fair to criticize it for that, but some people are saying the most ridiculous shit.
1:16:32 this absolutely needs to be said, and I’m glad it’s coming from someone with a voice as large as Jimmy’s now is. If you post any comments questioning the negativity towards the physics or handling in the new WRC title (which most seem to agree is a step up from DR2.0 and are like 90% there) you get shouted down about how you know nothing and it’s obviously terrible. I’m sick of armchair sim ‘experts’ who probably have no IRL experience of these things they’re trying to replicate anyway.
The bickering and rage tripping these days is insane. I do hope they fix the performance side of things. There are some other smaller things that I also hope to see improved in the future. But by and large and overall, it's such a good game. The stages are great, way better than DR2.0. Gravel feels great, tarmac slightly improved, so much game in there, so many cars, and the build career thing is good fun too. Thanks for the stream and the VOD. Always great to see your gameplay as it stikes a nice balance in many ways (fun and seriousness, critical yet with some perspective, etc).
This right here like you said it has its issues but me personally coming from rbr wanting a better modern rally game this truly is better than generations or anything that came before it
Jimmer, you probably won't see this, but Team O'Neil Rally School in Dalton, New Hampshire, USA is a good place to look into for real rally racing instruction.
One thing I have noticed is lack of spread in the spot light, normally it is the edges of the road we use to judge the lines.. when your cars goes off line you can't see the road. With wide spread that doesn't happen
It changes with different cars, the older cars I've tried so far have a narrow beam. Dunno if that's realistic but it's what I've found. The newer cars have headlights like DR2.
7 months later and the Puma still only has a single beam when there is like 5 GIANT round lights on it. But in overcast or cloudy in the later or super early parts of the day the regular lights do shine where they are supposed to.

1:57:08 (on the part about "It's the only rally game in years, you should be thankful that this game exist"). I respectfully disagree. It's exactly because it's the only new rally game on the market that I'm so critical about it. From my point of view, it looks like they made an half assed job because there's no competitor and we have to play this game if we want something new. If there were competitors, I don't think people would be so upset about it; it would be just another meh game that dies in two weeks, like WRC Generations.

Actually I think the world would be a better place if more rally games stole sounds from DR2. I will not forgive them for neutering the BMW M1 but other cars like for example the VW Polo 2017 in this game sound insane so I'm not too mad.

This game is very bad optimized and very well advertised. How much did they pay Jimmy not to critizise to bad things about this game, that it is worse in grafics then Dirty Rally 2.0 and espaecially worse in Handling... An arcadish rally game was not what the community was missing.
Sadly this seem to be the case. Some engine sounds are incredible, but other than that nothing looks particularly impressive about this. Even as a huge Rally fan, this looks to be another title that I pick up on sale in the future when it is also in a better state.
I love the WRC games, but struggled getting into WRC generations. Feels like the physics took half a step back compared to WRC 8 - 10. Feels like they changed the whole physics model to compensate for the hybrid cars, which impacted all other cars. Shame as I was really happy they compiled and updated so many rallies from previous games and brought them in. Went back to WRC 10 and found it more enjoyable. Also the career mode has gotten stale by this point - they haven't changed much and the obvious problems (albeit small ones) that were present since 8 they still keep despite people obviously complaining about them. Love the stages. Graphics not top tier but what they did with it I appreciated, game looked very good at times (compared to previous versions), I feel this was largely due to the actual detail and design that the designers put into the stages.
How can he give a negative opinion on the game’s performance on a platform he’s not playing on? The game has issues on PC, he’s been consistent in highlighting those issues, but he can’t talk to the console version’s problems if he’s never played a single second of it. Use your head.
So you are finally a shill now? Took you long enough and respect for that. Enjoyed most of your content so I am a bit disappointed but i guess you needed the bag
He’s a shill because he likes a game you don’t? Get a grip. Everyone’s tastes and expectations are different. He’s enjoying the game while simultaneously calling out its blatant issues. You know that’s a thing most normal people do, right?
Well its out in the open - DR2 just shits on this game, i dont care about stages or "better" tarmac with endless grip, its jist boring and poorly made.
Buy the competition, forcefully make them release a broken game that sells poorly, close the studio 6 months after because of poor sales. And with no more competition, you can continue with your yearly cheap bad releases forever.
@@wejustsawmanfly The stages are what makes rally, Rally. Rally is driver vs the most trickiest roads to drive on and this game delivers on that with flying colours. Also I can't go back to DR 2.0's soapy tarmac, WRC may have exaggerated grip, but at least it has grip and better feedback of it.

Wym lazily cashed it in, they added heaps to it.
Plus it's pretty much Dirt Rally 3.0 but with heaps of actual WRC stages and the cars
@@ark14700 so its dirt 3 with more content so we get the game that was dirt 3 with more content for the same price but its bla bla bla EA take us for cashcow.
seriously? dirt 2 was the same price and you needed to buy a plethora of DLC to get less content then what we have today...
Anyone who disses any drivng game but praises the driving physics of the abandonware that is WRCG gets a big 🤨.
*Yanks the handbrake to activate the transverse mounted rockets at the back
1:57:08 (on the part about "It's the only rally game in years, you should be thankful that this game exist").
The same can be said for the EA Madden football games. They have no competition, so they just mail it in and collect their profits.
Sounds like a lot of cheapos that haven’t even played the game in the comments… it’s fun as hell to me
All they care about is graphics and its sad, outside of the stutters everything else about the game is great
PLEASE STOP THE MUSIC.
Performance sucks in this game!
Ryzen 5 2400g
GTX 1060 6gb
16gm Ram
Ssd
1360 resolution
Everything on ultra low
Everything that can be turned off is turned off.
Have massive stutters
Massive pop in
Really low fps
Terrible graphics
Game just sucks, I was so excited to play this game, now I just regret buying it 😭
I have no problem running Dirt Rally 2, WRC 10, and lots of other games, on medium 1600 resolution.
Hope it gets better later 😡😡😡🤬🤬😡🤬😡
While I agree that the game currently runs disappointingly worse than DR2 at similar graphics fidelity, I don't think you can complain when a modern game with reasonably good graphics doesn't like your 6+ year old budget PC.
@@Cyrenetes it's in some maps, not every map stutters that much, but every other game runs smooth.
Hope it gets better when it launch.
And yes, I can complain, just like everyone else is complaining!
It looks quite a bit worse tho than DR2.. some stages I found to be fun. The game is challenging, and stages are pretty good. Guess you can never have best of both.. a lot of sounds have been copy pasted from DR2.
This game is not challenging at all, its an arcady mess and a boring one compared to DR2.
Actually I think the world would be a better place if more rally games stole sounds from DR2. I will not forgive them for neutering the BMW M1 but other cars like for example the VW Polo 2017 in this game sound insane so I'm not too mad.
@@wejustsawmanflyMy sweaty ass after some of the long as stages says otherwise
career mode? AI is fuck*d as hell........ and their build cars can only manage metro from 80s....box of a car. No matter how tough you set AI ....is completely bizzare! 50 euros...thrown away for me! And they not even fixing damn thing...
and btw....i actually think that you.... promotors of this games, must be quiet of essential bugs in the game, which for me is sort of..... being mr. wonderful promoting FTX.
The ffb options on sc2 pro dont even work. Only the suspension and torque alignment sliders do anything.... ANYTHING ! The rest are placebo.
Also no telemetry and vr support on release.
Yet another half baked game released before compketion with empty promises.
Game devs are becoming like politicians these days. Im so disappointed in this title, codies and ea.
Are you serious? I downloaded this last night and haven’t had a chance to play yet. I own a Simucube 2 Pro. You sure?
@@gingersnaps7186 yeah mate it still drives ok but very unoptimised I have a 3090 and i78700k @5.0ghz and it pooped its pants.
Just turn all ffb options off then introduce one at a time. A must for any sim game. You will see. Have fun setting your hardware up. 😁🙃
Still I had fun fanging the fulvia around last night.
If they get telemetry going and vr I'm sold!
What's with the PS3 car graphics? Jesus H. Christ.
This is all fake, the PS5 version is unplayable.
Lovely to hear, just purchased mine. What's the issue with the PS5 version?
@Robbe1984 Major performance issues, it has improved with the new update, but it still has frame drops and screen tearing which is unacceptable for a triple A title these days.
@@martynharris8255 EA Games have ruined so many titles, at least I got it for 35 dollars on black week sale. I'm running a VRR TV, do you know if these also have the same issue?
I wonder how it will be on Xbox
@@martynharris8255well guess what?
It works for me!
These comments lol. The Game looks so generic and soulless. Performance is crap.
Might Play alright, but thats it. But the EA Money tastes Well i assume
This game is very bad optimized and very well advertised. How much did they pay Jimmy not to critizise to bad things about this game, that it is worse in grafics then Dirty Rally 2.0 and espaecially worse in Handling... An arcadish rally game was not what the community was missing.
Game is trash. Physics and feel are trash, sound is a jumbled mess. Stages are sterile and plain. WELP. At least we have WRC Generations.
Sadly this seem to be the case. Some engine sounds are incredible, but other than that nothing looks particularly impressive about this. Even as a huge Rally fan, this looks to be another title that I pick up on sale in the future when it is also in a better state.
WRC Generations plays terribly and looks beyond dated. It’s dreadful.
still a better experience overall than this @@wynty200
@@wynty200still more polished than this 😒
I love the WRC games, but struggled getting into WRC generations.
How much EA give you to be positive about this broken garbage? The game’s performance is absolutely awful on console,
How can he give a negative opinion on the game’s performance on a platform he’s not playing on? The game has issues on PC, he’s been consistent in highlighting those issues, but he can’t talk to the console version’s problems if he’s never played a single second of it. Use your head.
This is a terrible game, buggy and dated. Jimmy isn’t being honest. EA probably paid him.
You know that’s a thing most normal people do, right?
btw your wife wants a baby ... alll those nice things she brings to you all for nothing you think ? Lmao
Underwhelming show jimmy, do better.
Kinda sucks how you want a gamw with a challange but yet there AI are so slow
its got the name EA in it, theres something hidden somewhere with some BS in it, waiting until its come out to see what that is
Kiss of death. Hopefully they can improve the performance with patches otherwise this could be the saddest example of them killing a series.
@@wejustsawmanfly If this game is boring to you, you are not going fast enough
@@wejustsawmanfly The stages are what makes rally, Rally. Rally is driver vs the most trickiest roads to drive on and this game delivers on that with flying colours.
Also I can't go back to DR 2.0's soapy tarmac, WRC may have exaggerated grip, but at least it has grip and better feedback of it.
