your amazing the way you explain these things thankyou i have stage 4 metastatic breast cancer can you recommend a prebiotic and probiotic please?
Please do a video on urinary tract infection in the elderly. It seems to be so common for women in their 80s
Could you please tell what brand of seeds you use to germinate them?
Interesting, informative video, but I don’t like that you’re selling a supplement. Makes me trust you a bit less.
Great info, but I’m on a fixed income. No way I could afford that, the price isn’t even for a whole month, unless it’s not to be taken every day.
Here is a summary of the key points:
- Broccoli, broccoli sprouts, cauliflower, arugula, kale, red cabbage, collard greens, and radishes are recommended vegetables that have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.
- Broccoli and broccoli sprouts contain sulfuranes which may have anti-cancer benefits. Cooking broccoli releases more nutrients.
- Sprouting broccoli increases vitamins and minerals. Broccoli sprouts can boost glutathione levels.
- Cauliflower is an easy alternative for those who have trouble digesting broccoli.
- The FODMAP diet can help manage irritable bowel syndrome by restricting fermentable carbs. This involves a 3-phase elimination and reintroduction process.
- Small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO) occurs when harmful bacteria grows excessively in the small intestine, inhibiting nutrient absorption and causing bloating and diarrhea.
- Butyrate produced from fiber promotes gut and immune health. Fiber intake is important to feed beneficial bacteria.
- High blood pressure is a major risk factor for dementia, heart disease, and strokes. Randomly checking blood pressure is recommended to monitor actual levels.
- Arugula, kale, collard greens, and radishes provide antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, and anti-cancer compounds that support inflammation and detoxification.
Thank you!
Thank you very much!!
Thank you very much🙏I was getting overwhelmed n seeing this in the comment section helped🙏🙏
@@forjeshI know what you mean. To improve focus and comprehension, I frequently utilize the immersive reader function, which I believe has made me an immersive learner. I'm pleased that it was helpful.
Many of those have oscillates, which are like microscopic shards of glass, causing inflammation and irritation.
I'm a huge fan of this page. Thank you for all of the additional information you spoke of on this subject. Hope this list helps for those in a rush but definitely watch the whole video. 1. BROCOLI, 2. BROCOLI SPROUTS, 3. CAULIFLOWER, 4. BRUSSEL SPROUTS, 5. DINOSAUR KALE, 6. RED CABBAGE, 7. ARUGULA, 8. BOK CHOY, 9. COLLARD GREENS and 10. RADISH.
Thank you, you are a God send. You saved me 25 minutes.
green cabbage?
Soooooo....Brassica family. Roger that. Easiest veg to grow IMO
Yes

Thank you ! I really needed to see it but was running out of time.
Finally, Its good to see physicians starting to talk about the importance of nutrition in managing health instead of pill pushing. Until recently, most avoid nutrition interventions.
I want to eat like you. Please make some What I eat in a day videos with ‘recipes’ even if they are super basic - I just need inspiration to incorporate all the foods you mention and make them taste ok. I am terrible in the kitchen! (and also have kids so desperately looking to put together a 2 week mealplan that I can make and that includes all the important nutrients we need). 😮❤
Willst du pflanzenbasiert essen, schau mal WFPB SOS nach. Auch unter diesen Begriffen pcrm oder DailyDozen nach.
We sprout Broccoli seeds organically. We eat them everyday and so do our dogs in their raw food. We sprout dozens of organic sprouting seeds at home.
Where do you recommend getting the seeds from?
@renel7303 I buy all sprouting seeds from The Sprout People. Their seeds are specially for sprouting. They are on TH-cam and Facebook. A man, Doug Evans wrote a book The Sprout Book on Amazon. Doug literally is the guru for sprouts. He knows his stuff. I believe he is still on Instagram. He spent time on everyone's TH-cam channel but doesn't TH-cam himself. He is easy to find.
Where do u buy brocolli seeds
@@eunicerebello9034 from the website The Sprout People. They are on TH-cam also.
Cool. I make my own organic spelt flour sourdough bread.
I just discovered this channel for the first time. I am 69 and have been eating whole food, nutrient dense, plant based diet since I was 15 - but I am going to watch this video over around 2-3 times to get all the great information. The FODMAPS diet is primarily stuff I never ever eat - such as HFCS, sugar, industrialized junk food and I quit eating dairy many years ago - however I absolutely LOVE BEANS and beets and some other foods I thought were "healthy" but since this video now I know I have to eliminate for 4-6 weeks or so to kill off the bad gut bacteria - I've had chronic diahrrea for several years and my Functional Medicine MD is doing lots of tests to figure out what the heck is going on. Despite eating zero junk food and no processed food for the last 50 years I still have some sort of gut dysbiosis. Very grateful to have discovered this channel and I'm going to watch this video 2-3 to write down all the great info - The first time I watched it I took notes but missed a lot.
A plus and 5 starts - I never heard of this doctor before - does she practice Functional Medicine Integrative Medicine - she definitely does NOT seem to be a conventional allopathic medicine MD.
I prefer fermented vegetables over pickled any day of the week. I ferment my own vegetables with minimal salt.
Can you post a video how you do it?
@@brandih4882you can easily find fermentation recipes on TH-cam if you search. We also avoid vinegar and my dad is fermenting cabbage, tomatoes and cucumbers..
It's dandelion season in Ohio. They're quite nutritious and free
Know the history of the land that they are growing on. Lots of land was contaminated by industrial uses.
@@catlyn777 That's a very good point. My property was a corn farm until about 20 years ago, but I have no idea what chemicals they were using. I wonder if there's a test
@@adonvonilesere5642there’s labs that do soil testing
I listen to your videos over and over. It has so much information. I love how you break down the nutritional and health benefits as well as the pathology of what happens when we eat bad food.
There are a few go to people that I listen to concerning health and you are on the top of my list.❤thank you
Ridiculous amount of high-level insights and content for us to "digest" - thank you as always! Especially after my upper and lower GI endoscopy last week, this is really helpful information and reminder to incorporate more dark greens into my diet!
Most wonderful information you give. You are appreciated 🎉
You are my go to nutritional Doctor. Calming voice packed FULL of information. 💛🙌👏😊
Yeah useless information. For example vitamin A doesn’t exist in plants, it’s retinol. We are not good at converting that into vitamin A. Vitamin K1 is in plants but we need K2 which is only in animal products. We don’t need vitamin C unless we eat carbohydrates. Sulforaphane is toxic that why we react to it. Our digestive system is not supposed to consume indigestible plant fibres as we are not herbivores (they ferment them in their gut), and it goes on. Just because someone calls themselves a doctor doesn’t mean they know what they’re talking about, especially in nutrition.
The information you provide is priceless. Thank you!!
Such important information. Thank you!
Love all the great information , so very helpful. Thank you so much.
Thank you for your amazing work.
I had the symptoms of that condition. But I never heard of the condition. No doctor talked to
me about changing my diet. I became vegan for the animals and the planet and then started eating wfpb for my health. I don’t have any of those symptoms anymore but I was just lucky. There’s so much misinformation online.
As usual, doctor, concise and easy to listen to information. Thank you
You are amazing! Thank you so much!
im overwhelmed by your generosity. thank you Dr Liu. at least i get an idea of how to take care of myself because no one else will. even if you are not my doctor, eating whole foods and all those listed are really what we should all do. nothing wrong with eating them, right?
Thank you for this video. It is the best summary with enough detail to enable learning at varoous levels! Great work!
Thank you so much.
Awesome channel. Thank you Dr Liu 🙏

You are a blessing to all mankind. Thank you for sharing your comprehensive knowledge and delivering it concisely & coherently. You are very deeply appreciated.
Thank you!!!!
Smart woman ... Well spoken ... Thanks for that information !
Thank you so much this is the on point complete information that's been lacking or that I haven't found. I am very curious about tea coffee caffeine interactions with food nutrient absorption.💕🙂
Thank you...
Amazed about the amount of information you provide! Thank you, so much to learn 😊
So good. Thanks ❤
Thanks for posting this information, it was very helpful!😊
Fermented pickles heal and prevent senile bruising. It only takes 1-2 sliced pickles to keep them at bay. They do contain salt so I’m trying to see how few will work. 😊
THANKS!
Thank you for your direct approach. There is so much valuable information in this video that I need to review it again.
Very informative content. Thanks for sharing doc❤
Super! Highly knowledgeable....
Just discovered you! Such valuable info, thank you!
Preventing decrease before rather than treatment afterwards. Smart 🤓
I make my own sauerkraut made from cabbage.
Thank you dr. Liu. I appreciate you.
May God richly bless you.
Have a great day.
Greetings from Toronto Canada
Ha, so do I, from red cabbage. Hi from York region!
I’m amazed at the complexity and beauty of how our bodies work. Thanks for sharing this imformation. Broccoli casserole for the win although I will eat broccoli raw or steamed and still love it.
So much good info. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. 👏
One more green to add to my diet. Fantastic.
your amazing the way you explain these things thankyou i have stage 4 metastatic breast cancer can you recommend a prebiotic and probiotic please?
Arugula and Bokchoy are my favorites. Good video.
Dr thank you So much for this vidéo helpful vidéo ❤
Brilliant!
It's very nice to see a doctor provide such extensive Info of Nutruitional Health . I suffer with IBS for decades (at least that's what I'm told by my GI doctors). Years ago the doctors would label that condition a "Nervous Stomach". That can make sense since I have always ben a Anxious person since childhood - I'm 72 Now. This and other info pertaining to the Gut is intriguing. My question is...Does Buyturate Capsules provide the same benefits? Would taking L-Glutamine capsules serve to benefit my IBS and/or IBD-C ?
I am so grateful for all this information.. a life enhancing life changing opportunity
What a master class! Congratulations and thank you!
Thanks for the encouragement!
Hi Dr. Liu: I really enjoy your videos about Top 10 to take, including this one. They have so much biochemistry and nutrition science information. Would you share how medical students and professionals could acquire these knowledge? Is there a course to cover the topics and materials as you’ve covered in your videos? Thank you.
You are so lovely and clearly explaining everything. Thank you for this video! I need to take of my bf so always try to find some useful info like your channel to convince him to quite smoking completely as he got bad blood vessels and likes red meat 😢 🤦🏻♀️ I didn’t know that broccoli had do many anti inflammatory qualities coz when I googled before on that it didn’t even come up. The studies and your analysis really opened my eyes on broccoli, thanks tons again ❤
What's the best diet for arthritis sufferers?
Thank you for this very informative report. Is frozen broccoli as nutritious as fresh broccoli?
Very informative presentation and thank you. Subscribed for more digestive videos
superb video! lots of very helpful info for me. glad to see arugula on the list. I love it too... as an alternative to lettuce on sandwiches and in an omelet with goat cheese!
Ty🙏
Chopping broccoli before boiling would lose those water soluble nutrients? Broccoli is difficult to wash well and the crown always floats on water and can’t soak properly. Boiling helps to remove pesticides residues so I always boil.
I'm so glad you made this video! This is great SIBO information. I will share it with my group.
Do you happen to have a link to a good source that you would recommend that lists foods to eat and foods to avoid? There's so many out there, and I want to make sure it matches up with what you teach.
By the way, I have to decrease the speed of the video so that my slow brain can absorb it.😂
Organic chem and biochem relevant content!
What a fantastic video! Thank you!
I think a little after 21 there was a confusing message. *Fermented* cabbage is promoted as an important health supplement for the healthy bacteria that lives in it,not pickled (Though I haven’t heard anything negative about pickled until today. Thank you.)
Great information share.
I’m on nystatin for three months. Thank you for helping me figure out what foods to eat. How do you feel about Nystatin?
Broccoli
Sprouts
Fantastic info. May I ask if I can't convert betacarotene to retinol (A) is there a way to address this in diet?
Brocoli is high in oxylate which is not good for bone density. I boil mine to reduce oxalate levels.
It is not high oxalates 😊, it is medium oxalates, spinach is high
@@kathyhoward5492thanks for the discussion; research pending 😊
Good for you....
Smart woman
I heard Kale is high in oxalate which is not good for health. Would you please advise. Thanks.
Lol, this was an amazing and informative video, one of the best I’ve seen! What was funny is that I had just said out loud, “Well what the hell CAN I eat?” when you said, ”Now you may be wondering what you CAN eat…”. 😂
You're like a lovable younger auntie. Love your videos. :)
Es un producto espectacular llamado INMUNOCAL.Cura todó, regenera todo.Como medica lo mejor que vi en 40 años de práctica medica
How much of the sprouts should be eaten daily. Is there a recommended dose. A bit confusing on Myrosinase too, do sprouts require chopping and waiting to benefit from it?
Can you do a video on asthma?
Can you do a video for menopausal women, diet or supplements to take, please🙏 new subscriber
I always blame the bacteria for farting. It's not me.
Good one. I will need to start using that, er, I mean, maybe that’s why I too have “bad gas” issues. 😂
Are these foods good for thyroid patients?
Why do you keep saying CROWNS? What about Broccoli STEMS? (I love the stems, even raw and peeled.)
As do I. I slice the stems and add them to my stir fry dishes.
I peel the skin and add them to my veggie soups.
Stems and crowns should not be consumed together on the low FODMAP diet. They cause gut issues. They may be eaten Separately hours apart from each other.
The best part! 😊
I wonder if the crowns have more nutrients than the stems?
Thanks ❤
Thank you, Jehovah, God.🥬🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🧖👰🚷😵🤞🌈🌍
Excelente análisis, ahora falta completar el problema de los oxalatosn el organismo al comer en exceso algunos de los vegetales expuestos, así la gente puede decidir cuanta cantidad es tolerable

Consuma vitamina C. O tome agua con Limon.
I want to learn
How about broccoli raab?
can u suggest something abt how to heal gall bladder stone naturally?
Now i want to meet your son! Soul brother, i too cant get enough Arugula!! I put it on everything lol
We make no sodium kimchee
Gosh
You are so smart .
I've almost completely stopped eating flour. I still want to be able to bake or pan fry some 'breads' and am considering alternative flour sources. One that popped into my little noggin this a.m. was chickpea flour, or ground chickpeas. I checked and sure enough, there is such a thing. Now, I wonder just how good or bad it can be? I've been eating pickled herring as a regular source of omega 3. (?)
I make pasta from chickpea flour, also lentil flour and oat flour. All three of these flours can be made at home in the blender!😊
Flax and chia seeds for omega 3. I keep flax oil in the fridge and add a tablespoon to smoothie or salad. The fish 🐟 thank you😊
I have heard that cruciferous vegetables should be avoided by people with hypothyroidism. Is that true? If so which other vegetables can be used for anti inflammatory purposes.
I love Brussel sprouts but they really bloat me.
Listening to u it sounds like l hve an overgrown small intestine 🤔🤨.
So, does fermented sauerkraut increase the risk of stomach cancer!
Enjoyed this video! I heard from my local farmer not to cook the microgreens because it might kill the nutrients is this true? I have difficulty making sure I chew the microgreens throughly so I don't chock on them because they can be stringy.
Yes you will lose some b vitamins and vitamin c. Purée.
You talked about choppin' broccoli...
You shouldn’t eat all sprouts at least for many autoimmune diseases. Mung bean and alfalfa sprouts are contraindicated for people with lupus.
Red meat has the most of all foods. Oxalates hide in some foods. Seeds have chemical defense strategies. Low carb, high protein..
In your video called fight cancer which you released a week before this video, at 28 minutes you included tomatoes as beneficial against cancer, however in this current video at about 26 minutes you show a chart which indicates tomato’s increases cancer compared with the control .
Is there any chance you may be able to address this.
Thank you
The chart is just showing what’s happening in the lab when you drip the juice of plant “x”. That doesn’t mean it’s going to work in the body either way. It doesn’t mean it promotes it and it may not even mean it will reduce it. The body is more complex and what we eat is highly complex. Currently there are no strong clinical data for stomach cancer except for high salt and fermented foods increases risk.
@@Healthyimmunedoc it kind of makes those charts/studies pointless. But I suppose it may be the catalyst for more useful studies.
Thank you for replying, and thank you for your sincere efforts in the topic of health.

What about FODMAP content in brussel sprouts, arugula and radishes?
