      I am a little different...I love your content very much, and want to help you succeed with your channel. I design women's eyebrows to suit their face as a hobby, not as a career. There is a formula. It takes precise measurements. I took a screen shot of you and have drawn some eyebrows to see if you like them. are you a medical doctor? i wish there were more like you! i had to do a lot of research to come up with my diet correction in the 80's. i was so sick and all the doctors were completely full of it. now all these crazy people telling everyone to eat a ton of meat and stay away from all carbs are just making people worst. i grow most of the food i eat. my 1-acre little orchard and garden allows me to eat fresh natural food, usually in the garden. half the year, i wake at dawn and work in the garden until it gets too hot while munching on the fruit and veggies i grow. i stopped getting sick shortly after i cleaned up my diet. it saved my life. i have never heard a doctor like you. wonderful channel.

    Nice to listen to someone that knows what they are talking about. Very good tips. My breakfast every day is a salad with beans , almost never meat and dairy . Lunch porridge with fruits and berries and no dinner. Two meals work fine it just takes some training.
    But to reach a broader group make you episodes much shorter. 5-6 minutes is much better than one 30 - 60 minutes.

    I think this is your best video yet. It puts together what a lot of experts say but is much more comprehensive and explains how/ why some diets work in the short term but not the long term. It also explains insulin resistance with a level of depth I have yet to hear from anyone else, while keeping it pretty simple and practical.

    Such a great talk !!! There is something about your presentation that allows me to feel the humor in my Human mistakes and misguided assumptions. Your talk is allowing me to see my mistakes or misassumptions, and to make some small changes that will help me continue on the path. As a first time dieter (62 yrs) 20 covid pounds;
    1 example, wrap sandwiches, I thought using rice spring roll wraps solved the fat, wheat & sugar issue found in wraps and breads... With your help, I clearly hear I left out the processed grain mush factor you so clearly explained; and that I knew, but didn't consider in solving for one problem. I was also using the large style rice cakes and, topping it with hummus sour kraut and tahini as a "good snack". I love the offset suggestions / order of eating that helps with insulin spikes. I believe that you offer more information than the "Lifestyle Health Clinic" offered through my insurance. Basically they handed me the food pyramid, looked at my food diary, suggested that I substitute sugar in my tea with a fake, rid myself of potatoes, and "Make sure I write everything down in my food Diary" In fact I was meticulous, I don't eat fast food, I cook a head, and eat a lot of repetitive meals, I had cut out my binge foods of potato chips and chocolate. She didn't take note that my portions were too big, or that I didn't have enough fiber, or that I was meat and potato heavy, I'm so very glad that I found you. Thank You for sharing your knowledge so freely.

    Lost 115lbs and type 2 completely under control with new diet!!
    I've had type 2 for a couple of decades.
    I was 315 at top weight.
    I was doing the finger stick a few times a day with the Lantus quick pen.
    Then I decided that a big change was necessary, a very basic 'recalibration'.
    On my new diet for about a year and am under 200lbs, and feel fit with energy and NEVER need to check sugars because the diet is such a good regulator that I can slip in an eclair on occasion and it doesn't even register!
    Okay, this is what I eat twice a day, once around 3:30pm and one at around 10:30pm;
    My recipe for my Top Ramen lunch and ditto for dinner;
    Ingredients;
    1 tsp fish sauce
    2 tbs lemon juice
    2 tbs Sriracha (or similar) sauce (vegetable!)
    3 cups water
    1/2 tsp of chocolate 6 pot chili peppers (hottest in world!, more veggie)
    add noodles from one package of any flavor package of 'instant ramen' (discard salt/flavor packet)
    1 jumbo egg
    1/3 tsp toasted sesame oil
    1 tbs toasted sesame seeds
    1/4 cup nutritional yeast
    1 tbs toasted red chili crisp in oil (more veggies)
    Instructions;
    In small pot (with lid) place;
    1 tsp fish sauce
    2-3 tbs lemon juice
    2-6 tbs Sciracha (or similar) sauce
    3 cups water
    stir well
    add
    1/2 tsp of chocolate 6 pot chili peppers (hottest in world!)
    add noodles from one package of any flavor package of 'instant ramen' I often use Maruchin or Nissen. Throw away the salt/flavor packet!
    Stir a bit (beware the peppers!)
    turn heat to medium and leave the lid askew.
    I love the wheat noodles, I can cook em till they are crispy and they still look like noodles!
    cook for 20-30 min. (the less teeth i have, the longer the noodles cook)
    decant
    1 jumbo egg in bowl
    add
    1/3 tsp toasted sesame oil
    beat into 'frothy' homogenous mixture
    while noodles are cooking stir it in rapid small circles around the pot while pouring in the egg mixture. Continue until it is all mixed in..
    turn off heat.
    Decant contents of pot into bowl.
    On top of soup put
    1 tbs toasted sesame seeds
    1/4-1/2 cup nutritional yeast
    1 tbs toasted red chili in oil
    stir all together smoothly
    Inhale the rich aromas...
    Enjoy!
    2x daily
    3:30ish pm and 10:30ish pm
    = 96% of my diet
    So far I have lost 115 pounds since starting. That wasn't a goal, but it is a nice side benefit! ;)
    And the diabetes is so well controlled that I can have some grapes, or an apple or other fruit on occasion and still not register anything alarming!
    Sometimes I stop at Subway and get a meatball hero for lunch and dinner. I can do that now!
    Oh, and NO exercise necessary!! (Ewwww! ;)
    I hope that this can help someone.

    With all the info on line, it gets confusing. I am so glad you break it down for us. I feel better when I eat protein. I love veggies, but then I learned the things I like the most are labeled high oxalates and can have adverse effects on my kidneys. What are your typical meals like? I know keto does not make me feel good. I have allergies…wheat (not gluten), potatoes and several medicines. With wheat and potatoes allergies (systemic run) I cannot eat oats and several other grains. Tomatoes don’t make me feel good. So I was advised to stay away from nightshades in general. All this is just to say….what do I eat on a daily basis and how should it be cooked? I was told that boiling high oxalate foods can lower oxalate levels while still providing nutrients. High oxalates damage liver and kidneys. Sort of parboiling, not boiling it until food is mushy. We have been told to eat brown rice, then no, eat white rice but don’t eat rice after being refrigerated due some enzyme or bacteria., then that we should cook it and have it the next day. And that it should be washed, boiled in excess water and to drain and throw away the water. Help. Give us some sort of diet plan that I can have as a reference. Then there is the warnings about lectins which are harmful and should be avoided. I know my body does not like fasting. I like your timetable window and that I should eat big meal in the morning. Please give us a game plan.

    This is so well demonstrated and explained. Much better than most of the videos I’ve seen that thinks everyone is using grams and percentages to measure their food intake. This takes the guess work out of trying to figure out how much to eat and what to eat first. Thank you!🙏🏾 ❤

    I appreciate your effort to educate and the work that goes into it. You are passionate and determined to improve people's diet, and consequently, I am thoughtful when cooking. As you talk about food, please touch on eating soups (obviously homemade). I have learned about the value of eating fresh vegetables, but I am not sure how much is lost or retained in soups. In my culture (romanian), soup is a staple food.

    I enjoy your channel and find it very helpful as I have type II diabetes how ever I also have a artificial heart valve and that requires me to take warfarin and get blood tests every two weeks to measure my INR so I do not get blood clots caused by the heart valve. That creates a challenge as far as my diet , I have to watch how much vitamin K I eat , vitamin K is the antidote to warfarin. So needless to say green vegetables are all but out for example if I want a salad I can only have a 1/2 cup of lettuce and it has to be Iceberg lettuce not romaine or spinach. They say I can have vitamin K but I have to eat the exact same amount every day and adjust my dosage of warfarin this doesn't work as you find yourself getting even more blood tests and a erratic or constant medication adjustment . So I have my hands full trying to fight diabetes and keeping from getting blood clots.

    I am enjoying the options you are giving to choose that may or may not work the same individual that would like to try. Diagnosed with RA, like veg's grains fruit etc, for medicines. Is there anything I should consider. Not eating? Best of health.
