Working as I do in IT, I understand the situation completely. Some crazy manager made the decision and nobody wanted to tell them they were wrong. Then they wait until enough customer's complain and the same crazy manager will yell at them for getting it wrong. Then they get the green light to fix it. All is right with the world. It just takes wasting a lot of money and pissing off your entire customer base. Business as usual.
I could tell you why the cassette is opposite shown on bikes counputer. That's because there is a misinterpretation and logic difference between Chinese and English. Firstly, we need to know 2 Chinese words. '小‘ mean small and ’大‘ means big. You see, in English dondition, the biggest cassette is gear 1st, the smallest one is gear 11/12/13. But in Chinese, from 小 to 大, it's just should be like from 1-100, 小 is 1 and 大 is 100. So if you are speaking the Chinese, the samllest cassette is 1 and the biggest is 11/12/13. It's a little hard to understand if you don't speak Chinese LOL. But they are changing this mistake now.
Great video Roy, love the sky, blue and puffy white clouds. I thought the Worzzel's song would start seeing all those tractors - well done Wendy we can always rely on you to give us the first line of a song 😁 and cycling that distance feeling dodgy.
I was recommended magnesium but have usually taken rehydration powders such as dioralyte. It works for me. Some people don't need to take salt such even when working in 40 degrees c in a 8:22 ships engine room. I did. 4:36
Always a pleasure watching your rides Roy! i even saw you in someone elses video recently but it wasnt as good as yours, you provide entertaining and Beautiful Views each time you post! Wendys link to Ive got a Combine Harvester had me laughing i knew that was coming! Ride safe Roy! You and Wendy inspire us all!👏😎🚴♂️💨💨🚴♂️💨💨
Glad that they saw the logic of your thinking. I'm a bit of a electronicphobe so I steer clear of electricery on my bikes. I'm sure they're brilliant for those that like tech and for those without much strength in their fingers. I wonder if longer term they'll be the norm and most middle price range bikes will come with them? Can Wendy up the volume a tad for the next song please? Thanks for the video
Hi Roy I just need to say thank you so much because I have ordered and installed redshift kitchen sink handle bar 53cm without loop and have availed discount also , thanks to you and I am enjoying it a lot, lots of love and blessings from Pakistan.
Unlike many supplements, magnesium can not be stored in the body so has to be 'consumed' on a regular basis, over dosing can cause 'regular bathroom visits'.
Thanks for the update on the Wheeltop system. I’ve just got a Moulton and thinking about trying it. Seems to be the only option for electronic shifting with rim brake shifters and it would do away with two cables when separating the frame.
That looks a good route. I’ll have a look at your Strava to see exactly where you went. Back in my old Defra days, we used to go to Brooksby College to collect in and check farmers claim forms. I recognised the building.
The Dairy Barn cafe, was that the one in Leesthorpe where they make Ferneleys Ice Cream, love it when I was working in Melton Mowbray, the ice cream is amazing
@@barrydrinkwater8158 funnily enough, Barry, I was just thinking the same. I didn’t take the camera today, otherwise you’d have had a rendition of ‘Blow the Wind Southerly’ I hope you appreciate me taking one for the team.
😟 Is there anything we need to know about cycling in Melton Mowbray, you seem to be pleased to have avoided it? I'll be staying there this weekend for a ride with friends on Saturday, looking forward to riding some of the roads you show on your channel.
@@rogerbodger no, it’s a nice little town with the best pork pies. We just prefer country lanes. Looks like you’ll have good weather this weekend, enjoy.
Absolutely loved watching this one Roy. Lovely weather and beautiful countryside. Congrats to Wendy on the 100k despite feeling under par. Watching this one has made me realise that yes, I do want/need to increase my milage BUT, I need to ‘slow down’ as such and enjoy the rides again,, something I seem to have ‘missed’ Oh, and thanks for the ‘song alert’ 😅😅
Roy, I agree Wheeltop gear position display is illogical. I use Wahoo Bolt V2 connected to SRAM AXS and rear cassette/gear selection is correct way round. I find this display very useful on climbs.
@@RideWithRoy Calculators with reverse Polish notation never caught on in the 1970s either. Glad to read that common sense logic prevails now Wheeltop are planning to change :)
Is the logic for the gears not the fact that in the larger sprocket you are in your easiest gear and they are showing that as the small gear because that to non techy cycling users looks like the easiest gear being smaller? It's all I could come up with 😁
@@brianridley1102 you might be onto something there 😀 Probably got some 14 year old gamer to design the app. Fortunately, they’ve now seen sense and are changing it.
Update. Wheeltop has now confirmed that they will be fixing the reverse display issue.

I use cheap supermarket (Aldi 'energize') soluable multivitamins daily - containing Magnesium. Seems to have solved the cramps.
Any chance of an audible siren as a song alert next time as I wasn’t watching the screen 😢

Was the change in shifting accuracy due to you bending the rear mech hanger after your fall?
@@paulstuart9465 no, the hanger was fine, Paul. I think it just needed to reset itself, which it did immediately I cycled through the range of gears.
