I've been wanting to try out a leverless controller for a while and you probably have too if you haven't already. Haute42 reached out to me and asked if I'd be interested in trying out some of their controllers and I happily accepted. I gotta say.. they're pretty amazing lol.

First thing I see Lotus is effortlessly wavedashing and now I'm pissed I don't have one
Facts
It isnt effortless on p2 side.
@@ZakMon1Stop lying it’s a lot harder to learn to wave dash and get just frames on a pad than leverless, hence why it’s called the cheatbox
What are U smoking@@ZakMon1
Never tried it but it took a long time to learn how to wavedash with a controller. Once you can do that your pressure game gets much better.
Switching from a PS5 controller to a leverless (Have 2 Hautes) has done wonders to my hands! I have carpel tunnel and tendinitis (graphic designer things) and could only play Tekken for like 30mins max before my hands felt like they were on fire. On leverless, I was playing for 3 hours straight without pain :). Now I can unba bunga more with Asuka lol.
Is it compatible with Ps5 and did you use the adapter?
@@Stainnyy-06 I use it for the PC, but if you get the adapter, it works for the PS5.
my dad just ordered the T16 for me, I'll update this comment with my thoughts once it arrives and i play for awhile. im very excited!
I copped one of these about 2 months ago and I love it. I was also a pad user my whole life and it took a couple weeks to get used to but man its worth it. With how affordable these are comparted to a hitbox etc I decided to give it a shot. Highly recommended.
But do they cause you any hand pain? Because keyboard makes my pinky go numb
@@SorrowsPrison Nah no paint here. Then again my max play sessions are only about 4 hours long ish.
I suppose the benefit to this as opposed to keyboard is because the buttons are so large theres less precision required so you can relax a bit.
Is it compatible for Ps5?
They the best budget leverless wanted leverless for so long then found these in a Reddit thread absolutely worth the money
Bro's gonna be SPAMMING them sky rockets.
Ngl, your video inspired me to try it. As an older gamer, leverless is a blessing to the wrist and carpal tunnel. 😂
It’s surprisingly easy to pickup tbh to those on the fence.
I got the b16 like 3 weeks ago, been having blast with it.
I've been using pad my entire life, various types. Got HitBox a year ago, and switched between the two. Just today i ordered Haute42 G16, ill keep ya updated.
For the absolute fastest electrics with Kazuya and Reina (13f done with f, n, df2) I recommend also mapping a spare button on your right hand to down. That way you can do forward with your left hand, go neutral, then press down, forward, and 2 with your right hand to result in a df2. I do my extra down button to the right of my 2 button
I've had these in my amazon cart for MONTHS and this video is making me itch to buy them again
I had to order their T16 to see if it lives up to the hype, and it's wild that it does. I was already on leverless, but it feels really high quality for the price point. I might still get the P12 so I have the more portable option as well.
I got one of the s-16's not too long ago, and it is a damn good leverless, especially for the relatively low price, highly recommend! Highly responsive, easy to config, customizable color, I love it
Incoming "How fast can I get Hworang to God of Destruction with a LEVERLESS controller"
just ended up getting one and i love it, thanks for putting me on
They just released a larger version of the m16(m16+) if you end up liking it and wanting a bigger size check it out. I love it so far also thanks for getting me to try tekken
Nice! I have the S16. I have medium/small hands so it's perfect for me. Also, I replaced the directional button switches with clicky blue switches, and it's more satisfying to use now.
Just got my s16 yesterday love it
Been thinking of getting a leverless. Just got a stick 2 months ago & really like it
Good video for sure, very informative. Also, love the shirt💯 Yu Yu hakusho is the goat🔥
You make it look easy with those bounded directional inputs, meanwhile Im over here doing it on hitbox with the actual motion lol.
I can do it either way, but you make it sound like I have a whole quarter circle on one button. I still have to do the actual motion regardless lol. It's just even easier this way. You're still using a hitbox regardless which makes it 100x easier than doing it on a pad or stick.
You can actually dump a PS4 controller's authentication key & upload it to the configuration site, so that it'll authenticate without disconnecting on PS4. You'll still need a dongle to play on PS5 wired, though. Or a Bluetooth adapter.
Buying one now. I have the og hitbox but cant perfect electric with zero effort like this. those extra buttons really are handy and it makes sense to just move your hand down to hit the buttons at the same time instead of trying to sync it up with my other hand.
I have that exact leverless controller and I absolutely love it lol
unrelated but i literally dream about having this mans hair
Switched over to leverless starting from T7 and gotta say after the adjustment period, it’s better than pad
I wanted to buy a lever less for the longest and seeing your vid convinced me, then I seen them on sale (in my country) so I had to pick one up along with the brook fgc converter (ps5 tings innit) 😂
BOUT TIME!!!! I’m bout to buy my 2nd one 😊
What you get first, and which one you're getting next? I have the b16.
I got my leverless for tekken 8 it's a game changer. I've never played tekken 8 with my victrix probfg-pad. But the victrix pro fs-12 is amazing
I'm a stick user but I'm very curious about leverless just because it might be fun to use, especially for certain characters. I'll need to check one of these out.
I tried it and it was fun for a little bit, but then I started to miss the lever and ball top and I wanted to go back… then I sold it😅 u may enjoy it tho
When I first started using Leverless, I could not for the life of me overwrite the muscle memory for games I used a pad on. However, learning a new game is a good way to get used to it.
Yo lotus loved the video as any other! Just wanted to ask where did you get those pants I saw the yuyu hakusho and wanted to know where you got it
This may not have been an ad… but I am sold all the same
Oh we leverless boys!
MvC3 goes crazy on leverless
Hitbox is my next thing to grab. Got two arcade sticks and main kaz. It’s hard to waivu on P1 but it’s just something about that classic joystick feel. Gonna use my hitbox for SF6 instead
I prefer larger Hitbox controllers so that I can gut them and install different PCBs. It's a method of future-proofing. I haven't tried a thin model leverless before. It'd be nice to try one. I just don't know if I want to be using it with adapters. What someone needs to do is make a leverless that's flat that has 2 standard sized slots for PCBs. Imagine one with a Brook Ultimate + Retro PCB. ONE PCB that functions like a Brook UFB and a Brook Retro Board. Actually more than that. I would design a flat leverless with this PCB in mind that has a USB port and 2 RJ-45 ports. Only something like that may change my mind.
I've always wanted to try out a fight stick or a leverless. It's always looked kinda daunting I guess I'll try and explore that horizon fr
I was literally contemplating getting a lever-less and after seeing this it must be a sign to try one. Thanks Lotus!!!
I feel like the easy execution only works because of all these extra buttons & how they’re mapped. On standard hitbox-style layouts you still need some execution. CPT also prohibits this mapping of the same input to multiple buttons but TWT doesn’t.
seems like a ton of people are starting to make videos on this haute controller. it's pretty damn nice quality especially for under 100 bucks. gives you tons of options to change up buttons and all that. i picked it up about 2 months ago and have liked it a lot. my original hitbox is just so damn big especially compared to this haute one, the t16.
i think the documentation and settings could use a little bit better translation or instructions but yeah, other than that the only thing i hate about the controller is the tiny buttons at the top for start, select, etc.. in training mode if you're resetting a lot it can get annoying and uncomfortable constantly pressing those tiny buttons
I have the the black Haute42 its really well built after playing with it for about 3 months my electrics are still way sharper on my Keyboard .
I just got the m16 plus a week ago, it’s great. It’s basically a bigger m16
My first one was a t16. Since I liked so much bought a s16 since I travel constantly. I play on Xbox so I use it with a mayflash magic x. And I bought on aliexpress since I live in Brazil.
How’s input lag?
I use the magic x on the pass-through port so I don't notice any input lag. If the magic x is connected to the Xbox there's a little bit, but still playable
i bought a razer kitsune back in november because i wanted a leverless thing and couldn't find anything except it and the hitbox, and the hitbox wasn't available. so i'm out a decent chunk of change but lordy has it been so nice to use. love the thing. it is matte metal stuff so yeah it's a horrible fingerprint thing and... it's fingerprinty at the moment
just rubs some rubbing alch with a paper towel and boom super clean again
I just got the m16 pad and a magic-s ultimate adapter for my Xbox and I'm STRUGGLING to get it to work.
Got the updates done for everything, and I've tried all the modes and ways of connecting it
Lotus’ Reina game boutta go crazy now 🦅
I just ordered my first leverless. I have been really disappointed in the ps5 controller. I'm ready for this cheat box to arrive.
And now I have to get one. W marketing
Looks cool! You may have mentioned it, but is there a wireless one for people that sit further away with a tv?
I enjoy your vids very much, but my speakers cannot turn the bass low enough.
Podcast worthy voice for sure
Thank you for the review, my question to you is, since you seem tall like I am, which is the most comfortable for the hands or the larger one, did you try this on Xbox.. thank you
Bro I’m wayyy too used to using my controller. I bought a lever less and man it’s a pain!!!! I know I’ll be much better if I do practice
Lets see some hwo gameplay already 😂
I hit the wavedaah and electric on p2 side only seeing how easy he does p1 because of leverless is insane
Leverless is great, but im starting to learn stick, it's alot more fun.
Currently waiting for my sanwa Omni Etokki and my myoungshin fanta to ship.
Would be cool to see it in use in a ranked video
Where did you get that Yu Yu Hakusho shirt at? It go hard 🔥
Yep lotus recommends i buy, simple as that
Hey I’m on PS5 what’s the name of the adapter to avoid the 8 minute timeout? I don’t think I heard it in the vid
Mayflash magicboots
Mine is being shipped rn 🥳
Dope. Are you gonna move to this instead of controller. To see how different the matches are online.
I was really thinking about going leverless but I think that idea got shot down cause I think Xbox doesn’t support 3rd party controllers from what I know
You can use these with Xbox mayflash adapters
you can use it on xbox you just have to switch it to the proper mode at least on the Xbox one idk about the new ones
Extra buttons must be so nice, dont have it on my hitbox nor snack box
and here i am averaging 50% success rate on electrics on stick. maybe i should switch to leverless
I got mine a month ago but I don’t got my converter 😢
He's finally crossed over.
Great vid
Wait a min is it actually ez to do electrics with those if so i can prob actually play reina fr now
Extremely easy.
@@LotusAsakura might have to look into one bcz sure i love playing lee i even got him to purple rank but mishimas r just so fun and i dropped reina and kaz quick after i found out how hard wave dashing rlly is
I'm looking to get one in about 2 weeks what is a good one to get for ps5 with out breaking the bank
The p12 is 60 or b16/ haute board mini is cheap too
Levelers is also easier on the hands for some
Honestly, afro should use those
Do you need a brook wingman for this for the ps5?
Yooo lotus, Hwoarang can wave dash as well just to let you know
Is there any present wrist pain issue that csn occur from using lever less?
I have a snackbox and i love it
So dpad+claw but better? 🥲
Welcome to leverless
i have the t13 and its amazing
These leverless controllers have no business being this good at this price.
What does qcf mean
Quarter circle forward.
Hand fatigue and the jump button is killing me tho
What will I need to use them on Xbox ?
I’m confused bc when I go to the website it doesn’t provide the thing you told to copy and paste. And when I type it in it’s not loading up anything. Is there any other way to do so?
Would there be any difference between leverless and just a keyboard for pc?
I have not used a leverless controller before, but I can compare using a regular laptop keyboard to using a PS4 controller. If you are curious about leverless, a keyboard can serve as a good trial to see if you like the control style. However, after longer term usage I've found multi button inputs don't register as consistently as they do on the PS4 controller. You can use macros, but I personally prefer to avoid using those as much as possible. I wonder if this issue happens because a keyboard isn't meant to read multiple inputs at the same time? Perhaps a dedicated leverless controller would be better at reading these inputs. Regardless, I definitely recommend trying a keyboard first if you are interested in leverless.
@@hrbr_deluxe yeah I went from an xbox elite 2 controller to a lever pad I might try leverless too but the idea of using a keyboard to see if I like It first is a great idea im going to try that!
One of us!
What makes leverless better w inputs over d pad... In at beginning of vid so if its answered my fault
Every form of controller has pros and cons. One of the big advantages leverless has is it’s not hard on the hands compared to arcade stick. The reason SOME inputs are easier is because all the buttons are laid out in comparison to a pad where you press one directional button and the entire dpad moves. Leverless also allows you to hold back and forward, or up and down which no other controller allows you to do. With that being said some inputs like 360 or 720’s are extremely hard on leverless where as they are far easier on pad/stick.
d pads can be a bit mushy. Maybe you mean to input down+back, but you end up only getting down, or only getting back, or something like that. With leverless, you have different buttons for each direction. So you press the down button and the back button, and you always get down+back. It's more consistent
Appreciate the input I assume this also applies to numerical inputs since the a x b y or x [] ^ 0 adhere to the same concept as the d pad w all inputs moving and being less consistent
@@HashiramaSells not gonna lie I have no idea what you mean by this lol
@@gaaalavant you already answered my question and x,triangle, circle , square... Or a x b y which are xbox and PS inputs... Pretty self explanatory
😢 Your hair way better than mine!
No fucking way lotus copied my whole flow
I just got my Haute42 G13 today come on ma
much love tho pretty funny
Lmfao 🤣
yuyu hakusho top and bottom nah thats fashion
Can I use these on Xbox series ?
well this work on ps5 im seeing it says on ps4
Is he still using this one?
can someone pls tell me whats the difference between a hitbox and a keyboard?
Pretty much just ergonomics. They even make these leverless controllers using traditional keycaps
Are these compatible with Xbox?
Can someone help me it says I need 3 files but idk where to get them from
Fuck learning a Mishima them skyrocket about to fly like the 4th of July lmao
Can someone explain how this is acceptable to be tournament legal? If simply buying a new device instantly gives you easy access to hard execution movements and techniques, doesn't that just make the product pay to win?
Users wont admit it but yes it’s practically cheating
I meannnn people have been using leverless controllers at events for years now. IT's been controversial always and people have their opinions, but they're 100% legal. There ARE some restrictions, but this kind of controller is becoming increasingly common and is damn near the standard at this point.
ONE OF US
So you need a pc to set it up?
For firmware updates yes. If I recall correctly you can switch to ps4 mode with a button combination on startup. but if you want to set it up yourself you need a computer. It’s done through a Webbrowser so you can do it on any computer.
