Maybe a way to fit more color in to the main room would be an accent wall?
My accent walls are mainly brick or that brown mosaic stone, usually in the kitchen.

You can keep the lights turned on even when you get out of a room. Search for ECO lighting in the settings
I love Welsknight's design sense, It's super simple and really satisfying to watch come together.

It is I'm pretty sure, but I'm assuming he doesn't mess with the gardening as he might not enjoy it as much (but that is purely speculation)
I believe it’s the gardening expansion. He has it installed, otherwise the grass wouldn’t have to be mowed, there wouldn’t be weeds to be picked (and competitions to enter), or really any lawn decorations.
Of course, like Evelyn said, Wels ‘prolly doesn’t care too much for the gardening, which is why we don’t see much of it. Still would like to see half an episode dedicated to making a good lawn.

If you want to add more color into a larger space you could always try adding an accent wall in a brighter color

Is there a possibility to make something outside of the house like a swimming pool and a deck, fences etc. Would be nice to watch.
Since time lapses you say seem to be bad could you have like a montage where you stand in a corner or something every once in a while and take like a picture?

Little tip on adding color to a room: Use wallpaper or paneling on the inside lip around the windows and doors. It's very subtle even with bright colors and really helps!
Really loving the smooth gameplay at 1440p60! Maybe something you could have done to the big open space for house one is adding some colour to the floor since the whole thing was looking quite monotonous.

Hi! So instead of a time lapse you could start in a scene where the room is all messy and you do like that *snaps fingers* and the room is clean fade in for each section of the house.... maybe?

We had a designer friend suggest for our house to make sure each room had a feature - whether a solid pop of color or a different texture (reclaimed wood planks, etc) and keep the rest neutral. Might be cool to try in some rooms to see how crazy it can get :-)

Oh I absolutely loved the layout for that first kitchen/living combo... it's just so cute and cozy. I would personally slap an accent color on one of the walls, just to liven things up a little, but it's honestly nice either way. :) I'm having such a good time watching this series, thanks Wels!
For the mute colors, go with plants, accessories and some pillows. Mess with it and see what feels right. A couple pops of color on the couch with pillows would go a long way. Vase of simple flowers like daisies on the table. Tinker a bit, its fun.

Wels, if you have all the DLC for House Flipper, then you can find a Corner TV cabinet just by typing "TV" in the search. It would look much better instead of something that leaves a void behind it. Also try using colored blinds or add small plants

Hi Wels, I'm not sure if you're still looking for comment suggestions about what to design, I'd love to see maybe something you do with a darker, more classical/gothic appearance to the items (if possible with the limitations of the available items). A lot of your designs are very light colors with lots of light greys, blues, greens, and white. I'd like to see something with a bit more black, purple, brown, and bronze metallics. Just for something a little different.

Really wish I could have watched this series when it was active, I would love to suggest you experiment with accent walls! They're a super effective way to bring in a pop of color without overdoing it and feeling like the color is smothering you.
I really love your aesthetic choices, very in line with what I would do. I'm a big fan of more minimalist, neutral, neat interiors.
You should do more yard work, like adding a sauna or pool, adding trees, adding a patio. I know you have done this a little, but for some of the houses the yard layout is nice and you should take advantage of that. I think It can increase the sale price of the house quite a lot.
Really enjoying watching you play this game. I'll be buying it as soon as I finish my Christmas shopping this week, because I know once I have the game I won't want to wrap presents. LOL

You went with some pretty unique layouts in these houses. I like seeing something different. Especially with the brighter colors. Not all of the patterns are to my taste, but I can imagine someone loving it.
Hi Wels! Love the series, one way to get in some more colors in your build might be to use some props if possible, some colored blankets for the sofa, curtains, maybe some colourful plant and not just the green ones? I dont have the game so i dont know if its possible.
So only heating up stuff in the oven in the second house ;)

They need to add more NPC's that buy the houses because idk if I'm the only one but it pissed me off when I see the same NPC buy the house when they already bought a house
Usually in real life you would want a door in between the house and garage, as garage doors aren't well insulated. Probably doesn't matter in game though

I don't know bout the exterior of the house, but on the ps4 I've been able to remove and add the front/side/back doors, and windows, I've noticed that playing on a console of sorts is somewhat different then pc
it's because you probably have a recent DLC that didn't come out when he was playing

Maybe it would be fun to do a house in a different style because all the houses you did till now have a really modern look maybe retro Will be Nice and then you can use much of the stronger collors in the room

You could always try a feature wall! when I have a problem with not enough color I just change a wall or 2 and then it's better.

Maybe instead of time-lapses, you can do small montages. (just a few clips, not longer than 5 seconds each, that show you painting walls / demolishing walls /placing some furniture / etc.)
The second bedroom didn't count because it doesn't have a window. You can't make a bedroom in the basement.

Why not do a little montage thing where you show little clips of what you're doing, like you go into a room, pick up a piece of trash, cut, then show the room again with the floor clean. Destroy a piece of a wall, cut, wall is entirely gone, that sort of thing? Showing the first step and then the finished product?
