    Just installed mine. Ordered the version that comes all put together. The hardest part was mounting the camera on the grill. Everything else was a walk in the park.

    Installed the camera on my 2022 Tacoma. Best upgrade yet. I absolutely love it. I'm using it all the time due to my lift. Makes it easy to see everything below my hood and bumper. Very happy and satisfied with my purchase of this camera.

    Got and installed mine - all as advertised. the hardest part of the install was routing the connectors but it was worth the effort. Great product and great instructions. BTW $30 is well worth the work they they to pre-wire the harness. thanks!

      I also got the 30 dollars prewired option. It saves me time for sure. I had to use my dremel tool to knotch the plastic part on my TRD Off Road grill-which takes half the time. The rest is just popping on the plastic parts and routing interior work. I didn’t know what to do with the black fuse box so it tucks behind the airbag dash. The rest works as planned.

    Bought this kit from this company with the pre wired option. Glad too. Waiting for warmer temperatures to install. Good to know I should be able to install mine exactly like this video.
    Installed camera last Wednesday. I have a bad leg due to an accident so my installation took about six hours. Everything worked during a “dry fit” but front camera stopped working after full installation. TGP sent out a replacement component that should arrive tomorrow so I should be go to go. TGP works with their customers so contact them if you have issues. I also spent the extra $30 for pre-wired kit. Made installation much easier.

      Update!
      I had issues with this camera. All self-inflicted. Trail Grid Pro took care of me. My wife and I visited a daughter in Baltimore area this week and I scheduled an appointment with Trail Grid Pro for Friday, 2 Feb. Casey installed my camera and it works perfectly. Thank you Casey and thank you Trail Grid Pro!

    Everything seems to work except that my switch only turns to front camera. As I switched to the neutral position of the button is shows the rear camera for a slight second then it goes to my regular unit screen. Is it a bad switch or wired wrong?

    • @TrailGridPro
      @TrailGridPro  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's normal as the feed is switching from the front view to the normal position (i.e. rear camera view) since they pass through the same video feed.

    Hello, I just received the anytime kit from the manufacturer. I’ve been checking out multiple installation videos and found yours to be the most comprehensive. I do have a question though.
    You used a switch location on the left side of the steering wheel and connected all the wiring ahead of time on a table. Are your harnesses all the same wire lengths as the ones in the anytime kit (I’d also like to locate the switch on the left side of the cab - and I watched another TH-cam video where they added wire length to make this work)?

    • @TrailGridPro

    Where does the relay mount on a 2022 TRD Sport Tacoma? The video doesn’t mention it after the connections are made? What about 12V power to the fuse box? Nothing is mentioned about power either as the installation progresses?

    • @TrailGridPro
      @TrailGridPro  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks for your message! You can mount the relay wherever you’d like. Most use 3M Velcro to mount it near your switch. Power comes from the head unit, you don’t need to run power to the fuse box.

I have a '21 and its is hooked up just like this one (triple checked wiring and grounds) and black image from front cam. Can feel/ hear relay click when going to front cam. Im using a Raayoo front cam. The only thing I can think of is that I need to tap into a power source for the red wire. That or the camera is bad. Thanks.

    • @TrailGridPro
      @TrailGridPro  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The videos that show running 12v power are older and not required anymore when you purchase our complete kit. I’m not familiar with the front camera you have so unfortunately not much help I can provide (maybe it does require power?) - but, generally, if the front camera doesn’t work and all other functionality works then it’s usually due to a weak front camera ground.

    Great Video. I have a question even though I'm probably over analyzing. I have a 2019 SR5 Tacoma. Is the power to run this system being supplied through the connections coming from the radio? You capped off the red wire from the camera and only have ground wires exposed. Does this mean I don't need to worry about drawing 12 volts from a fused source? Thank you!

    • @TrailGridPro
      @TrailGridPro  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    • @TrailGridPro
      @TrailGridPro  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@freddygabriel2405 The 14-19 kit does not have a blue and gray wire - so the workaround to illuminate your switch is to connect the blue wire to red from the switch and gray to black (ground) from the switch.

    Not sure why you would sell the product if not all pre connected. If it is a Tacoma Kit, 16-19 are all the same. The explanation on the table was ridiculously complicated. A complete waste of time watching that part of the video. Not sure anyone would remember all of connections vs. reading an instruction set. Adding labels to wires like all stereo systems include would make sense if it is not pre-wired.
