Whether you had a partial or total hysterectomy, it can be confusing what is good for your body as you ramp up your activity. When your doctor clears you for activity (for some women as soon as 2 weeks post-op), you might be unsure what to start.
The most important thing is to address the muscles of the pelvic floor and core as that will help build a foundation for healing and help support your bladder and eliminate risk for pain. Here are the 5 best exercises to successfully help with healing your pelvic and abdominal area!

I had a myomectomy back in 2019. I did most of these exercises to help with the pain. Unfortunately for me, that fibroid grew back so I’m having a hysterectomy next month. I think I got this.

Thanks for sharing. I am one week post-op from a laparoscopic hysterectomy and glad I had previously done these exercises. I have to do breathing exercises because of the sharp pains I have been getting in the rectal area before the BM. If there’s some tips to reduce that pain, please share 😅. The bird dog will be challenging to do because my knees aren’t the strongest, but I’ll try something modified.

I had my total hysterectomy last year on October; after 6 weeks I re-started my work as a registered nurse; I did some exercise; abdo shape slowly get to normal, no needed vitamins, I'm 60+ years old; I lost 5-6 kg; the appetite is much less compared to before surgery but constipation can be a problem if not careful with diet, also back pain, get easy tired; generally I am Ok but I feel more fragile compared to the time before surgery. Hope this inf help
