I'm happy to see this video as I'm ready to do a bit more. You share some valuable tips for nutrition too. Thank you for being a big part of my learning and recovery. For others who are new, I just started physio and this all aligns with what the therapist recommended. Minor tweaks tailored for me.

Hello Doctor, thanks for these tips. I am on my 4th week after hysterectomy and I feel that my stomach is tight while walking and some pain when getting up. And I also notice that my stomach is still swelling. Is this normal or something not right? I am worried that there might be a growth that I am not aware of.

I am so frustrated! I felt great the first few days after mine and now a month pit my stomach feels bigger (and I’m walking regularly and haven’t actually gained weight ). I thought I would have a flatter tummy after the hysterectomy (I always hear how women’s stomachs stick out more cause of all our reproductive organs and now not having them I don’t see a difference). This sucks!

I just had my total hysterectomy and this helps alot! Right now i feel that i will never be able to move in a normal way ever again but your video gives me hope! Are all these exercises good for your pelvic floor too or just the exercises with the ball?

I had a complete hysterectomy and reconstruction as well as a hernia repair in January, so I completely understand, I felt the same way! Give yourself a whole lot of grace. It is a lot of care and recovery! I am just finally feeling like myself again here in July. She is an excellent source, her videos have been key in my recovery!

I felt like that too after my abdominal hysterectomy in May. Give your body the time it needs to rest and recover. Pain and discomfort are true gifts to help know your limits. Blessings as you recover!

@NofilterMarion much better. I turned a corner a couple of weeks ago. Still have to listen to my body and still have tenderness and the odd ache if I am tired or don't certain things. From what I understand, it'll take even months to feel "normal," but every day is a bit better. You'll quickly forget how you felt and what you couldn't do. I've been keeping a daily diary to help. How are you feeling?
