Hello! Thanks for your videos and channel, great content! My wife and I are from Brazil, currently living here, and she is a doctor, finishing her 2nd year of clinical medicine residency this year (2023) and about to start oncology (which is 3 years long to complete), here in Brazil. We are talking with some colleagues of her that are already oncologists, some with foreign fellowship and great knowledge on the field, and they say there are some oportunities on the US for medical jobs in oncology that accept your foreign residency (in other words, she wouldn't need to do residency again to be able to work as a regular doctor/onco in the US). But, the only place that I found this kind of oportunity is currently in law is in the state of Tennessee with bill HB 1312, passed April/2023 (and will only start effect in April/2024). They also say there are some oportunities in Florida as well, some say in Texas, but i'm not aware of legal backgroud for that. Anyway, if you have anything regarding this subject, any input from you is appreciated. We are an young couple and we would love to be able to live, work and raise a family in the US. But, as we have a good life here already, it doens't make much sense for her to start a new residency program in the US all over again. Thanks again

I honestly think you will do well in match, once you are done with the steps.
My scores were not stellar, my step 1 was 224, my step 2 ck is 213. I finished my step 3. But I didn’t let that stop me from applying and trying. I did not match in my first cycle and I know failure. I was numbed. It was dark. 2nd match- I matched in preliminary position. Even then I was stressed out and I cried so many times. But i get you. I have friends who did not continue ans they look more happy. Usmle and matching can really eat out the joy out of you.

I don't know if it's a USMLE thing but I'm feeling exactly the same. Mostly if i don't get the Qbanks right, sometimes I feel like I don't memorize or understand the concept...

I know the feeling! It’s a lot of trial and error in finding the most comfortable approach to answering Qbanks. Whenever I feel like I don’t understand a concept, I turn to TH-cam for those quick educational videos instead of using FA or reading lengthy texts.
