While I do enjoy this film a lot, I can understand why people wouldn't. But one thing I've always found hilarious is that after Loomis points his gun at Jamie, and the cop wrestlea it out of his hand, the cop grabs the gun, turns around and points it back at Jamie

***** Agreed there. 3 at least had the merit of being an interesting premise. Also since the first 2 movies "finished" Myers story, I liked the idea of it becoming an anthology series. Unfortunately aside from the interesting premise, 3 had a lousy story. Witchcraft/science using magic microchips inside kids masks to take over the world and kill kids as the masks become real and full of bugs and snakes, plus the chips shoot lasers - oh and robots. Halloween 3 I’ve yet to watch so here’s my opinions on the series non including Halloween 3 Halloween 1 - pretty awesome how they did this with a low budget. Halloween 2 - Same opinion of Part 1 Halloween 4 - ok concept. Love the twist Halloween 5 - May have not kept the twist but still managed to be neutral even if it looked rushed Halloween 6 - My guilty pleasure Halloween H20 - back to basics as awesome as 1 and 2 Halloween Resurrection - also a guilty pleasure RB Halloween - Edgier than original which I found cool. Guilty pleasure too. RB Halloween II - Same opinion as RB Halloween 1
Nice reference to the 80s Dan Halloween 3 review and the ongoing joke of all the characters SG Productions seemingly living on the same street. Also that is a good point that you brought up about the uneven pacing/suspense building and pointing out that the film is practically a paint by numbers retread to the first film, something that I never really noticed. Good review as always Brad; keep up the good work.
Controversy time: I personally think Halloween 4 is a great sequel. IMO, It had a better autumn feel than the original movie (probably because of the bigger budget), I thought Rachel and Jamie were likeable characters, and that twist ending was pretty god damn great. Is it as good as Halloween 2? No. But it's still one of the better Halloween sequels out there, and one I don't really mind popping in every Halloween season or watching on TV. Kinda like how I feel about Halloween 3. As for 5 & 6, I choose to believe that those movies never happened.
I just realized Halloween 3 is the origin story of Mike's mask! Mike was never a killer, it was halloween costumes that made him cucu for murderpuffs. Everything makes sense know.Freddy and Jason werent fighting, they were having horror movie villain sex! Violence is sex and sex is murder! I'VE CRACKED THE CODE!
It ended at part 2. Michael was burned to death and that's the end of it. The final shot of part 2 is Michael's dead burning corpse face down on the floor. HE'S FUCKING DEAD! Nothing happened after that. So I don't understand why everyone had a hissy fit when Michael wasn't magically brought back to life in the 3rd one. Well they got their wish later on, so now you can see the series end with an obnoxious rapper kung fu kicking Michael down a fire pit after yelling "Trick or treat, motha fucka!". Thanks guys...
+maxtheaxeiswax 1. Your icon, I LOVED IT with the comment. 2And yeeep, even if Micheal survived gunshots and a fall, its humanly impossible he survived being burned to a crisp. Both Micheal and Loomis died! It was the perfect ending. But no, being BLOWN and BURNED only resulted with Loomis scarred and Micheal in a coma... And yes, instead of going to a cool anthology route, they decided a generic slasher approach... sometimes people dont know what the fuck they want...
***** But didnt you know he have powers to suddenly change places with paramedics that somehow still kept acting like him until the end? its...a very specific power but it was useful at that moment.
H20 is the perfect ending, Lori finally gets her revenge on Michael for all the shit he did to her in the first movie and he dies trying to make one last connection with her.
I actually liked this one. #2 was okay. #3 is not nearly as bad as it's reputation. #5 was a bad. #6 was just a complete mess. H20 I liked. Resurrection was beyond stupid.
03bgood 5 didn’t have michael fucking Jamie though. Also Michael was afraid of roons, and the editing was horrendous. Danielle Harris was recasted as some nobody and gets killed off so quickly and disrespectfully, and the thorn cult shit gets shoved in your face so much it’s not even funny. So yeah in my opinion 5 is still better then 6. 6 is so bad it’s worse then resurrection, again in my opinion
I appreciate the Marked For Death reference. No one references Marked For Death. It was one of my favorite Steven Segal movies. When i was a kid, he wasnt a joke yet, and people cared about his movies, right up until after Under Siege.
The way the Snob felt about this sequel being an unimaginative rehash of the original, and being worse, is just how I felt about the shitty woke 2018 reboot.
I remember when I first saw this movie on VHS. This was the first Halloween movie I saw as a kid. It scarred me for life (yes scarred not scared) because every time I saw anyone dressing up as Michael Myers I would run the other way. Even today, if I saw someone with that mask I would go the other way.
"No-one noticed the giant with third degree burns" lolol. On the subject of Ted Hollister, what the frig was he doing in the bushes? I think they should have called him "Ted Tramer" and made it a running joke that Tramers keep getting accidentally killed on Halloween
Originally, Cannon films approached to John Carpenter to write and direct Halloween 4 with Debra Hill producing. Like how much Cannon Films had Texas Chainsaw 2, but Cannon Films did not like the treatment that Carpenter turned in and decided not to make it but John had to sell the franchise to Moustapha Akkad, and had Halloween 4 in development with Dennis Etchison (writer of Halloween 2&3 Novels with a fake pen name) wrote a script in which was rejected being too cerebral, I think the script was supposed to have Tommy Doyle and Lindsey. It would've been cool but I think the film what we got was the one we liked.
13:35 "Dr. Loomis, meanwhile is hitchhiking back home after deciding against living with a family of dodos." This might just be my favorite obscure Snob reference ever XD
I know people would think i'm crazy for saying this but I actually think Halloween 3 is the BEST movie in the series partly because it abandons the whole stupid slasher genre and partly because that actor playing the main villian's delivery on the "origins of Halloween" speech is absolutely fantastic in my opinion. When he goes into the part about the "hills running red with the blood of animals and children" I got fucking chills. That brief monologue ALONE is creepier than anything in the other movies to me.
Another draft was written by author Dennis Etchison and was to be directed by Joe Dante. This version had a much more supernaturally powered Michael killing on the tenth anniversary of the events of the original movie. Tommy Doyle and Lindsey Wallace, the children who were being babysat in the first film, were to return as teens and main characters.
***** thats why they had to pull the supernatural card in the franchise, because Micheal couldnt survive that in any humanly possible...and they wanted to cash on the slasher explosion of the 80's and 90's (and sucking while at it)
Stoned Gremlins Productions, at 23:37 it's not Michael Myers at all with a different mask, it was Ben Tramer's spirit getting revenge on Loomis for getting him killed in part 2, so yes he's alive, I just now realized that, now you can be happy, and so can I.
It just hit me that Mike Lookinland (you might know him as Bobby Brady) was involved in this project and the miniseries of The Stand, because he lives in Salt Lake City, UT, where this movie and The Stand were filmed.

RoboHoundGames i don't think it was quite trying to make people people feel bad for Michael Meyers but movie writers now a days love to say that serial killers come from a dysfunctional family or some kind of tragedy., and that's really my only problem with it. It is such a cliche and it is so annoying.
+RoboHoundGames It's like with Anakin Skywalker.
+RoboHoundGames
Phelous has already done a fair chunk of the haloween movies. You could check them out if you're antsy for some jokes about how almost every character in the remakes looks like Rob Zombie.
I really wish they had gone with the anthology idea. Having a new story and villain each year/sequel sounds like it could have been fun and given the series more longevity.
Why did people complain that Michael Myers wasn't in Halloween III? That was literally the best part of the movie.
Because everyone liked homicidal maniacs in the 80s.
They should have left michael dead lol Did they seriously wanted to see the same rehashed shit again and again instead of giving the series a chance to expand?

+Dr. Shazbot, PhD Because the movie was soo sadly made at the time where slashers were abudant and everyone wanted them soo I say Season of The Witch was a movie ahead of its time. Not perfect but at least it tried something new with halloween.
this is probably my most favorite snob video because i just watched this one like four times in a week and halloween 4 is my most favorite of the series.
Halloween 3 I’ve yet to watch so here’s my opinions on the series non including Halloween 3
Halloween 1 - pretty awesome how they did this with a low budget.
Halloween 2 - Same opinion of Part 1
Halloween 4 - ok concept. Love the twist
Halloween 5 - May have not kept the twist but still managed to be neutral even if it looked rushed
Halloween 6 - My guilty pleasure
Halloween H20 - back to basics as awesome as 1 and 2
Halloween Resurrection - also a guilty pleasure
RB Halloween - Edgier than original which I found cool. Guilty pleasure too.
RB Halloween II - Same opinion as RB Halloween 1
so you kind of like all of them?
Man, that clip of the little girl running down the street screaming for help made me feel very sad. I wanted to protect her.
I love the cinema snob I literally near wet myself laughing at his remarks lol
Nice reference to the 80s Dan Halloween 3 review and the ongoing joke of all the characters SG Productions seemingly living on the same street. Also that is a good point that you brought up about the uneven pacing/suspense building and pointing out that the film is practically a paint by numbers retread to the first film, something that I never really noticed.
Good review as always Brad; keep up the good work.
Can you upload your Sleepaway Camp review?? It's a classic!!!
Honestly my favourite of the series. I know it's not the best, but it's my favourite regardless.
RIP George P Wilbur
I love how you have a Halloween 3 and Caligula poster in the background. LOL.
I actually like Halloween 4 way better than 6 and Resurrection.
And better than part 5, that's for sure
I would like to personally thank you for all your continued support of our late Ben Tramer. 🙏
Anyone else notice that parts 4, 5, 6 of both Halloween and Friday The 13th have basically the same idea of protagonist and abandoned plot twist?
Wisdom Wizard with the former series spawning one of the most hated sequels of the 90's.
"Clown costumes: winning over bullies since never." - Thank you, my thoughts exactly every time I see this movie!
In the Rob Zombie remake, Michael literally murders a bully, while wearing a clown mask!
Now don't get me wrong 5 and 6 are okay-ish
I'm with you on most of that. Though personally, I don't like Halloween 2 as much.
I must admit it, out of all the horror reviewers, Cinema Snob is probably the most clever and most entertaining for me.
Ellie Cornell and Danielle Harris are great actresses.
*****
...and box office dollars. The true force that brings movie killers to life. How bout a movie about a that?
+maxtheaxeiswax
That would be more terrifying than all of the Halloween movies combined.
H20 is the perfect ending, Lori finally gets her revenge on Michael for all the shit he did to her in the first movie and he dies trying to make one last connection with her.
This is actually one of my favorites of the series. It's fairly atmospheric and has some scary scenes, although the first one was better.
I really only like parts 1 and 2.. I tap out at the rest! I watch 4 and 5 if I’m really bored and/or need background noise or a nap lol
sicilianotoronto well if that’s what u think of 4 and 5, I’d hate to see what u think of 6,7, and 8. Not to mention the rob zombie movies
"He offscreened him to death"
So he built him into a Mario Maker auto scroll level?
I actually liked this one. #2 was okay. #3 is not nearly as bad as it's reputation. #5 was a bad. #6 was just a complete mess. H20 I liked. Resurrection was beyond stupid.
Rando1975 I agree with all but part 5. I know it introduced a lot of stupid shit, but I loomis and Jamie saved it for me. I thought it was decent.
@@33dbz 5 was a lot worse than 6. At least 6 wasn't a boring ass soap opera.
2018 version was Pure Garbage!
I remember when I first saw this movie on VHS. This was the first Halloween movie I saw as a kid. It scarred me for life (yes scarred not scared) because every time I saw anyone dressing up as Michael Myers I would run the other way. Even today, if I saw someone with that mask I would go the other way.
I actually really love this one. But it's not quite as good as the Original, obviously.
"At least Brady gets to shoot one load tonight!" I had to pause at this point I was laughing so hard!
i do wish they did go in the direction of jamie being the killer though.
I do too
"No-one noticed the giant with third degree burns" lolol.
On the subject of Ted Hollister, what the frig was he doing in the bushes? I think they should have called him "Ted Tramer" and made it a running joke that Tramers keep getting accidentally killed on Halloween
Filmed completely in Utah!!
My god, I laughed so hard at 21:43
13:35 "Dr. Loomis, meanwhile is hitchhiking back home after deciding against living with a family of dodos."
This might just be my favorite obscure Snob reference ever XD
What's the reference?
Tommy Doyle and Lindsey Wallace, the children who were being babysat in the first film, were to return as teens and main characters.
michael is uneffected by muscle atrophy.
+Ryan Weist or being burned to a crisp for that matter....
***** thats why they had to pull the supernatural card in the franchise, because Micheal couldnt survive that in any humanly possible...and they wanted to cash on the slasher explosion of the 80's and 90's (and sucking while at it)
he survives getting shot in the heart
Stoned Gremlins Productions, at 23:37 it's not Michael Myers at all with a different mask, it was Ben Tramer's spirit getting revenge on Loomis for getting him killed in part 2, so yes he's alive, I just now realized that, now you can be happy, and so can I.
🤔 if it’s Ben Tramers SPIRIT, how can he be ALIVE, that sorta negates the whole thing 😐🤨
So Michael Myers is actually Ivan Drago, lmao.
cinema snob the man the myth the legend, best critic on the tube
capenters idea was to have michael be a ghost after 2 that haunts the town
that sounds awesome.
0:20 when did you do halloween 2? and im not talking about the rob zombie remake the original?
Tom Tucker played Michael Myers.
I'm Michael Myers. I have enormous psychological problems, and I'm going to take them out on you.
It just hit me that Mike Lookinland (you might know him as Bobby Brady) was involved in this project and the miniseries of The Stand, because he lives in Salt Lake City, UT, where this movie and The Stand were filmed.
The ending had potential
Not really
"I hope that psychic bullshit isn't revisited in part 5" ohhh boy
