So if we keep burying the victims of these movies right next to each other, and the Nightmare on Elm Street series and Friday the 13th series take place in the same universe, who's the lucky bastard who has to be buried next to Shelly?
And with their appearances in Mortal Kombat X, there's a chance Shelly is buried between Batman's parents and *SIRO! The Most Dead Mortal Kombat Character!* That is, unless you follow Brad's fan theory that Shelly's death was just another prank, and he continued on the legacy of being totally classic Shelly.
Iamafishproductions thankfully Stryker is a revenant in MKX. Otherwise, someone had to be buried next to him. And nobody wants that because everybody hates Stryker.
The roach scene is the one scene in ANY film that I have to skip over. Thirty years later and it still creeps me the hell out more than anything in film.
I can Def imagine plenty reasons why. That one isn't that bad for me but it's def one of the most memorable for me. Part of it is Def I her screams before she dies. She fucking sells it IMO. The one scene I have always skipped for a long time despite being in my favorite movie is Murphy's death in Robocop. I could handle watching it but I can't remember the last time I have. And robocain from robocop 2 gave me many nightmares as a kid.
One thing I never realized is how tightly packed these movies were. The original was in 84, part 2 was in 85 and then part 3 in 87, part 4 in 88, part 5 in 89, the "final nightmare" in 91, new nightmare in 94 before the long gap to Freddy vs Jason in 2003. In the seven years from 1984 to 1991 there were six Nightmare on Elm Street movies.
Well, he's got two and a half months to catch up to Freddy Vs. Jason, so I'm not all that surprised. I bet we'll be getting a crapload of Freddy this spring.
35 years old! Still the most fun entry in the franchise particularly when it comes to the special effects The movie is one of my favorites in the series; a rocking 80s soundtrack, a likable cast of teens, solid pacing, way more creative ways of Freddy slaughtering his victims, plus this is also the birth of Freddy using his infamous one-liners Renny Harlin makes this so much fun to watch plus Robert Englund enjoyed this as his best performance as Freddy The film takes advantage of the surrealism of the landscape of the mind, the imagination, the dreamscape, of an individual victim’s nightmare The death scene involving the cockroach transformation is so grisly and will always stick in my mind; it’s another one of those phobias that turns on the person who has it to full effect Lisa Wilcox makes for a very interesting lead too being she’s a character that’s gaining a trait every time one of her friends dies which will build her strength to face Freddy so she grows in terms of her arc too going from timid and shy to confident and active There’s also a theme of ‘Alice in Wonderland’ next to the philosophy of Aristotle of when you dream your soul walks free although Wilcox’s casting is a bit on the nose This was a rushed production and it was heavily impacted by the writers strike of ‘87 yet Renny Harlin makes for some big action set pieces in a ‘Nightmare’ film that basks in its excess being colorful, inventive, and imaginative It’s like a giant music video given this was the MTV generation ‘Dream Master’ leaves a great impression despite most franchises being so fatigued by so many fourth entries
On the one hand Dream Warriors was a fantastic romp with tons of likable characters that wrapped the series up into a nice trilogy package. On the other hand the price of cocaine rose 25% in 1988 and they needed a way to pay for it.
When Freddy puts on the sunglasses, I was expecting to hear Roger Daltry scream. And that diner should be selling Jason Voorhees burgers, complete with hockey mask holes in the patties.
I love how he says there were writers for this movie. They literally only wrote a road map for the story and then the unmentioned but most influential behind the scenes element of nightmare 4 took place: the writers strike. For someone who has seen the Never Sleep Again doc it’s odd that he would gloss over this fact so he could make it seem like the writers had a huge hand in this movie that was literally Renny Harlen showing up on set and winging it every day.
They're still credited on the movie, which is what I was talking about: that they later went onto bigger projects. I can't go into a 2 minute tangent about every piece of trivia about the movie.
I got to give a big hand to Renny, working with a skeleton of a script and still managing to make a coherent movie, apparently he got the job after bothering Robert Shaye about it on daily basis. Btw, i know that you didn't watch That 70's Show regularly Brad, but i was wondering if you could consider doing theme month about That 70's Show, similar to friendsuary?
NGL, that roach motel part ruined my fucking day. I've been low-key wanting to throw up ever since I watched it this morning. I will say, though, that I'm impressed by how nightmarish it is. It makes Metamorphosis look like a cakewalk.
I'm still confused as to how a dog pissing fire resurrected Freddy, unless this plays into the whole "Freddy is eternal as long as he's feared" rule from Freddy Vs. Jason. But that would suggest...continuity?
In Nightmare 3 they killed him by making his grave hallowed ground, the logic is that demon dog piss "tainted" the hallowed ground, essentially freeing him. So it's dumb, but it doesn't really break any continuity *(this time),* neither does Freddy's Dead "every child/young adult in Springwood was killed by Freddy" thing *(only because of the fanon explanation that Jacob retained his ability to pull others into his dreams, so as a child grew up bringing all of the other kids in Springwood into his dreams accidentally for Freddy to kill).* The Freddy Vs. Jason rules do though. Not the fear = power bit (that goes as far back as Nightmare 1), but the disregard for other longstanding rules of the franchise.
Made dumber by the fact that it was only a dream world representation of the grave and not the actual grave that was desecrated. I guess writing a scene where Kincaid visited the junkyard with the dog and showing it unwittingly piss on the grave was too hard.
I always saw it as Kristen's paranoia and fear of Freddy coupled with Jason the dog biting her in the dream leading to his resurrection was what ultimately brought him back. The pissing fire thing was just Freddy being Freddy, always the sick showman who gets his kicks with overdramatizing his return.
Yeah although we know it was freddy for anyone else why would he go inside a water bed to drown himself with no sign of how he got in...would have made more sense if bed was broken and blood all over the place and broken glass
Seeing all of these just makes me wish they continued with the reboot. There's still plenty of untapped potential. A whole slew of things to play with!
Let me be explicitly clear about this I have never ever shared the story with anyone, but my mother, who experienced this story with me many years ago it is such a memorable story that when I saw your reaction imitate her from decades ago, probably before you were born my mother remembered the exact incident. It’s one of those brilliantly amazing moments of pure awesome, ironic, insane hilarity, and mom still remembers in fact, your little comment and reaction in this video reminded me of what mom remembers, and I had almost forgotten. When I was a child, I don’t remember exactly when but I do know it’s one of the first and most memorable sleep/all night. Stay up all-nighters anyone’s ever experienced and no uppers no coffee or soda no drugs were used whatsoever pain can keep you up a lot more surprisingly than you can imagine. And even more surprisingly the local station channel 9, which is in Chicago to the suburbs, a local station decided to air the unedited r-rated version. Assuming kids were asleep of course common sense back then was a thing thank God for no V-chip. And of course, unlike in real life now or even back, then my idiot child self of about 10 or 11 years old was convinced that seeing a movie on your local station was a win for the movie and not the death of the movie cycle think of the song by Alanis Morissette hands, clean the music video where they show the cycle of life and death for a song leading to its death by karaoke and you’ll get the idea song is burst on paper dies when it’s sung by everybody kind of depressing when you think about it I did not know that when a movie reaches your home theater, a.k.a. your TV without the surround sound, and such that was its death back then I thought that was its life new life on your TV. How awesome is that even if it was at about two or three in the morning central standard time in a place that nobody’s heard of next to a place everybody’s heard of Elgin Illinois next to where I live now, but I lived back then next to Elgin in a different town called Carpentersville a bitch to spell and nobody’s heard of the goddamn place. Believe me back then anyway, now it’s incredibly insanely heard of things to certain stories recently and getting back to the point of the story, I did not intend to stay up all night to see it, but I was in so much pain it wasn’t possible I have hemophilia complicated by doctors problems. It was ridiculous. And regardless then or now doctors do not do a very good job taking care of young peoples very severe pain in any case it could’ve helped if I was able to move to get in the car to get to a hospital very far away essentially a doctor can’t check you out unless you are physically able to see them no zoom back then and even then they need to touch you and piss you off so they can see how badly you hurt that sort of thing you know in any case I was on the hardwood floor in severe pain in my legs watching the movie I think for the first time I’m not 100% sure but mom confirmed it today. It was the first time one of my favorite characters was going to be killed the fake Kristen as you’ve called her, but the story is not about my personal relationship with a franchise believe me there is one, but the important part is my mother, watching her small child on the floor from the couch decades depending on when you were born before you made this video, maybe years before you were born, I’m not sure but when you said that she’ll be fine moment, that was my mom to a tee, to her youngest, baby injured child from his own genetic illness nothing she can blame him, for he didn’t run his bike into a wall or anything like that, but in any case, I remembered as part of the story me turning my head back-and-forth insanely almost like whiplash, because I didn’t know I had autism back then nobody did find out shortly before the pandemic when the state decided after thirty-plus years of therapy that they ran out of money for my mental health, despite my physical health always been taken care of they assured me. Now they have the right diagnosis they can’t pay to treat it isn’t life fun but the whiplash was because what was I supposed to do? This wasn’t on tape or anything so the movie was still playing I was kind of grateful for the commercial break of a little bit but it was a short commercial break because I just remember I didn’t know what to do. I could sit there and try and lecture my mother about empathy or some crap like that, or I could try to explain the importance to her or I can look at the movie and see what happens what’s a judgemental overexplain-y asshole child like me gonna do?! Guess you and my mom were both right when you both ignored my sorry ass one person in person and one example of somebody who made the video so long ago you probably won’t even see this comment you’ve got way too many people who love you and I think I’m starting to join you to join the bandwagon way too late, baa-by(nightmare 5 reference)!!!! Sorry I may be Daniel in real life or Daniel Ryan Mulligan but I just can’t get the Dan tone of baby just right….dan aka…ps real Dan’s just can’t get it….
This is definitely the height of the Freddy craze because at the time there were all sorts of crazy Freddy merchandise including clothing, books, and even a doll - yes, there was a talking Freddy doll. And also you can't forget Freddy's Greatest Hits. Of course the big scene that I remember the most from this is the infamous cockroach transformation sequence.
This was one of the first horror films I ever watched. I would watch it at my aunt's, be scared for a couple of months and then watch it again. I love the Freddy series 🤩
Back in the late 80s when I first saw this on a pay channel this was the very first A Nightmare on Elm Street film I ever saw and so I never realized it was a different Kirsten.
Of course! I in a way though its not really part of the nightmare franchise which I feel died with "Freddy's Dead" I've always felt New Nightmare is kinda a standalone in the same universe because the demon knew who Freddy was and took his look basically. New Nightmare is awesome though I wont take anything from it.
Co written by William Kotzwinkle, one of the greatest authors of the sixties and seventies, he penned such classics as Dr. Rat and Fan Man. Look him up, even Kurt Vonnegut Jr. sings this man's praises.
honestly i enjoy the hell out of parts 4 and 5, no they aren't among the best films ever made but they are still fun. there are death scenes growing i'd have nightmares of actually, the bug scene and than you have Kincaid's death, that damn dog showed up in my dreams more than i care to admit. and Brad when i watch this film i also at times forget that is the same Kirsten as well. now part 6 is i think the worst one. you are right about one thing though the Special FX are a hell of a LOT better than most horror films of today. the B films still can create some cool ones but ya gotta pick the right films though.
1:33 au contraire my friend: The theme song for this movie was 'Love Kills' by Vinnie Vincent Invasion. Maybe that generic pop shit was put onto the DVD version because of copyrights, but I damn well remember this song. I even remember Robert Englund showing up on MTV as Freddy to promote the movie by doing an hour of horror music videos in 1988.
I think the passage from scary Freddy to dark humorous Freddy was due to him coming to terms with the fact he's fully immortal. "No matter what these people do, they can't stop me. So, I may as well have fun with it." I'm not even certain the "resurrection" was anything more than showboating.
“What 17 year old has fatal asthma” uh a lot of people! There are adults that have fatal asthma hell I just have normal asthma and I wake up in the middle of the night gasping for air because I literally cant breathe
At 3:55 you can see Rick's textbook says "Soviet Psychiatry". Where was that class when I was in highschool? I've seen this movie dozens of times (I'm trash don't @me) and I just now noticed that.
Elm Street 2 will always be my fave of the series. I also like Freddy's dead for the humor in it. One thing I never got is why the Kristen character became kind of a dumb in 4 then she was in 3? In 3 she was way smarter, but in 4 they made her dumb enough not to know better to try to get Freddy going again? Doesn't make any since at all. One of the things I do like tho in this one is Robert in that nurse fit lol
Best thing to come home after work: a hot shower, tasty chocolate and a brand-new Snob review. Hell, I can skip the chocolate, just as long as I get my dose of yummy Brad Snob-ness^^
The dream master always been my favorite NOES along with the first movie, i dont know why but Freddy is so badass in this one, i like everything about the dream master
The Dream Master wasn't quite as angsty as the first movie or Freddy's Revenge, but getting it made still wasn't an easy feat. For unspecified reasons, Patricia Arquette decided not to return. To this day, nobody knows why exactly. According to Dream Master producer Rachel Talalay, Arquette wasn't approached by New Line to reprise the role. There were also speculation that Arquette's pregnancy at the time of the film's shooting might've factored into it. Arquette herself would later state in 2017 that she declined to return because she wanted to expand her acting repertoire while also mentioning that Dream Warriors director Chuck Russell was controlling of the cast (though apologized) and the DP of the film was "really horribly mean".This led to Tuesday Knight being cast in her role. This proved to be a problem, given the film continued the previous entry's story: Few reviewers (if any) knew who she was, and they weren't fans of her acting style. Many of them also complained that because of the recasting, when Kirsten, Kincade, and Joey all reunite in the film's opening nightmare scene, the emotion wasn't quite as palpable as it should've been (and that even Dull Surprise reactions could be seen from the actors). Renny Harlin, then an unknown director from Finland, was incredibly enthusiastic about directing and wanted the job so badly - mainly because he was so impoverished and had a hard time adjusting to life in the US, but also because he was a huge fan of the series. Bob Shaye, on the other hand, didn't want him directing, and was also iffy about a Finnish director getting the job. This may seem like petty xenophobia, but when one considers the first movie was banned in Finland for a number of years, this was more reasonable. This led to a war of the minds between Shaye and Harlin. Harlin was so passionate that he absolutely refused to take no for an answer. He went so far as to show up to New Line's office every day and chill with a number of employees just to annoy him into letting him direct. This worked, but considering Shaye had a number of people he wanted to direct the film over Harlin, he let him begrudgingly. Getting a screenplay proved a big challenge for various reasons. William Kotzwinkle was the first writer to try his hand, but only managed to turn in a rough story outline before being forced to bow out for personal reasons, resulting in Shaye turning instead to future Oscar-winning screenwriter Brian Helgeland, who had a very short deadline to avoid an impending writer's strike. Against all odds, the inexperienced Helgeland managed to get a completed script submitted the day before the strike began... and then Shaye and Harlin found themselves in the nightmare scenario of having a script that, while workable story-wise, would have been far too expensive to produce on the budget typically afforded to the series. Because the writer's strike effectively precluded them from hiring any professional writers, Shaye, Harlin, co-producer Rachel Talalay and damn near everyone else at New Line had a part in throwing the script together - some reports also claim that the duo of Jim and Ken Wheat broke the WGA strike and got the final draft thrown together right before shooting - with the end product being credited to Helgeland and the fictitious "Scott Pierce". Shooting was mostly smooth, but the tensions between the two did complicate things. Shaye was more heavily involved in shooting than he was on previous films in the series. He would show up to set every day to monitor Harlin. Harlin was extremely stressed because of this - he showed up to set every day basically "expecting to get fired at any given moment". When it came time to film Shaye's obligatory Creator Cameo, the two were barely even speaking to each other, thus making a small few seconds of film extremely difficult to shoot. When it came time to film Rick's death scene, the production had already run out of money, and since they had already filmed his funeral scene they had to kill him off somehow. This led to the infamous sequence of Rick fighting and getting murdered by an invisible Freddy (represented only by a disembodied finger-knife glove) in a tacky-looking dojo. Fortunately, things did get easier during post-production. Shaye liked what he saw during editing and relented his control over the final product. Additionally, when he saw the final product, he liked it enough to admit he was wrong. The two have since made up and are on good terms. The film itself did very well at the box office and helped launch Harlin's career in the US, even earning him the job of directing Die Hard 2.

Them Castlevania references really make me want a Castlevania styled Elm Street game.
And damn was 4D weird in the 80s!
So weird that the owners of the next film complained to video rental stores across America about mysterious footballs landing in their living room.
How sad is it that a low budget 80's movie has better effects than modern movies? I miss movies with practical effects.

So if we keep burying the victims of these movies right next to each other, and the Nightmare on Elm Street series and Friday the 13th series take place in the same universe, who's the lucky bastard who has to be buried next to Shelly?
PeaTearGryfin Well if you go by comics Evil Dead is in that group too so more than likely someone close to Ash
Let's just be happy there's rarely enough left of the victims in the Hellraiser films or it would start to get weird.
Merritt Animation oh shit that's apart of this shared comic universe too isn't it.
And with their appearances in Mortal Kombat X, there's a chance Shelly is buried between Batman's parents and
*SIRO! The Most Dead Mortal Kombat Character!*
That is, unless you follow Brad's fan theory that Shelly's death was just another prank, and he continued on the legacy of being totally classic Shelly.
Iamafishproductions thankfully Stryker is a revenant in MKX. Otherwise, someone had to be buried next to him. And nobody wants that because everybody hates Stryker.
A Carrie reference in a review of one of my favourite Nightmare movies?! I must've done something good in a previous life!
I nearly choked at "Well, she IS still going to the hospital."
Not gonna lie, the roach scene just freaks me out. Cant watch it
The roach scene is the one scene in ANY film that I have to skip over.
Friday the 13th was similar, iirc
Thank you for mentioning L.A. Confidential, somehow I never came across it and it was a blast to watch.
Helllloooo baaabyyyy!
Thanks, snob! Fave line in the movie!
I will say this, Nightmare 4 had the best soundtrack out of all of them
Especially that Dramarama song Anything Anything (I'll Give You)
Omg brad!!! I didnt think we would get this til next year thank you!!
Very excited to see the eventual new nightmare review!!
Well, he's got two and a half months to catch up to Freddy Vs. Jason, so I'm not all that surprised. I bet we'll be getting a crapload of Freddy this spring.
Since we got dream warriors in the fall and all the BS going on I didnt expect to see a review of this caliber
Will Hutchings yeah, i thought the same thing. Next friday the 13th will be on July and Freddy vs. Jason is next.
He reviews A Nightmare on Elm Street every 30th anniversary. This one was the 30th anni for the 4th movie. Next year would be 5.
I don't know why Snob wearing a white shirt looks more off than him wearing onesies under the jacket but it does
35 years old!
Still the most fun entry in the franchise particularly when it comes to the special effects
The movie is one of my favorites in the series; a rocking 80s soundtrack, a likable cast of teens, solid pacing, way more creative ways of Freddy slaughtering his victims, plus this is also the birth of Freddy using his infamous one-liners
Renny Harlin makes this so much fun to watch plus Robert Englund enjoyed this as his best performance as Freddy
The film takes advantage of the surrealism of the landscape of the mind, the imagination, the dreamscape, of an individual victim’s nightmare
The death scene involving the cockroach transformation is so grisly and will always stick in my mind; it’s another one of those phobias that turns on the person who has it to full effect
Lisa Wilcox makes for a very interesting lead too being she’s a character that’s gaining a trait every time one of her friends dies which will build her strength to face Freddy so she grows in terms of her arc too going from timid and shy to confident and active
There’s also a theme of ‘Alice in Wonderland’ next to the philosophy of Aristotle of when you dream your soul walks free although Wilcox’s casting is a bit on the nose
This was a rushed production and it was heavily impacted by the writers strike of ‘87 yet Renny Harlin makes for some big action set pieces in a ‘Nightmare’ film that basks in its excess being colorful, inventive, and imaginative
It’s like a giant music video given this was the MTV generation
‘Dream Master’ leaves a great impression despite most franchises being so fatigued by so many fourth entries
They should have just stopped after Dream Warriors, that theme song was fantastic. Might be the best slasher sequel.
John Doe Part 5 has THE Bruce Dickinson though!
New Nightmare should have been made then. In fact Wes Craven wanted it to be the first sequel.
On the one hand Dream Warriors was a fantastic romp with tons of likable characters that wrapped the series up into a nice trilogy package.
On the other hand the price of cocaine rose 25% in 1988 and they needed a way to pay for it.
Thought for sure he was saying "longer than I care to admit to realise that was her name and not a timecard"
ANOES 4 is my guilty pleasure of the franchise.
Dramarama's "Anything, Anything" is a great song.
This and number five are my all-time favorite Elm Street movies
I've lost count of the amount of times I've heard high school girls call good-looking guys "major league hunks."
Probable about 75748
14,000,605. 🤨
Yaaas! This one is my favorite in the series. It’s not so great, but it’s campy fun.
Btw, i know that you didn't watch
That 70's Show regularly Brad, but i was wondering if you could consider doing theme month about That 70's Show, similar to friendsuary?
The Cinema Snob. Best thing on the internet since, well, ever I guess. He literally never disappoints or fails. Treasure him people, treasure him...
Man, Freddie had a way easier time killing people before he started to run into guys like Jason and Linkara.
or the Nerd either cause if you remember he did an episode of the Freddy Game for NES
So it's dumb, but it doesn't really break any continuity *(this time),* neither does Freddy's Dead "every child/young adult in Springwood was killed by Freddy" thing *(only because of the fanon explanation that Jacob retained his ability to pull others into his dreams, so as a child grew up bringing all of the other kids in Springwood into his dreams accidentally for Freddy to kill).*
The Freddy Vs.
You know, that actually would have fixed it. Have someone go to the grave in the junkyard and desecrate it or dig up the bones. Boom. Fixed.
Sweet a Snob review over breakfast! But I'm all out of Freddy cereal D:
Elm Street 4 and 5 are guilty pleasures of mine.
Never feel guilty for loving 4, it's amazing!
Love 5 because it was the first one I saw in theaters, plus Erika Anderson is fuckin cute 🥰
No, no, no, you've got it all wrong about the nurse. That wasn't The Joker, it was Count Olaf in disguise!
That scene where Joey shows up inside the water bed never made any sense. It's like nobody questions how he was able to crawl in there and drown.
Yeah although we know it was freddy for anyone else why would he go inside a water bed to drown himself with no sign of how he got in...would have made more sense if bed was broken and blood all over the place and broken glass
Gald to see you back out of copyright limbo 😊
But when are you gonna review the Sharp Hand Joe series!?! So biased.
+TheRcanmeananything
What about hockey faced Henry?
When will people remember hockey-faced Henry?
After the Scary Terry series
well he never reviewed what I asked for so I doubt it
..CAN'T WAIT FOR PART 5 ...looking forward to that enthusiasm Brad.
"The Safety Word Is BITCH" Missed opportunity for the nightmare on elm street franchise. good one dude.
This installment has the most likeable characters.
Couldn't agree more!
*cries in Jessie*
That statement is a joke. NOES 3 had the best characters
@@jasonvoorhees310 Ah yes, the age old Dream Master vs Dream Warrior debate. An unending battle within the fandom that has split generations
The Fat boy's freddy rap is awesome!
I've got an extended version of that one. It's damned catchy.
All of Freddys victims are buried next to each other whoever is reserving these plots is the key to stopping Freddy!
My name's Sharp Hand Joe, and I'm here to say I'm the best bootleg of Freddy made to this day.
The effects in this movie are absolutely phenomenal!!! Wow!!! Well, for the most part anyway. I really would love to know how they did it!
There's a documentary from the 1980s on TH-cam detailing how they did the visual effects for this.
Finally!!!!! my favorite of the series. I like Dream Warriors and Dream child as well.
The series never ends
3-5 are actually my favorites in the series.
This was one of the first horror films I ever watched. I would watch it at my aunt's, be scared for a couple of months and then watch it again. I love the Freddy series 🤩
This review contains some of the densest, nerdiest references you've ever made. Lovin' it.
5:33 IT'S NOT WEIRD RRURURURURURUUR!
Gonna be a long year wait for Elm Street 5
Saw this at the cinema. Shocked at your admission regarding the actress switch. Love your channel.
Well Part 4 compared to Part 5 and Freddy's Dead Joker Freddy wasn't as bad as he will be. They go full Looney Tunes in Freddy's Dead.
The absolute BEST of the series!!! ALICE LIVES!!!!!!!!
Back in the late 80s when I first saw this on a pay channel this was the very first A Nightmare on Elm Street film I ever saw and so I never realized it was a different Kirsten.
The last good nightmare movie... They only fall very very very far down hill after this haha.
Saw New Nightmare?
Of course! I in a way though its not really part of the nightmare franchise which I feel died with "Freddy's Dead" I've always felt New Nightmare is kinda a standalone in the same universe because the demon knew who Freddy was and took his look basically. New Nightmare is awesome though I wont take anything from it.
Well, kind of so. BTW, did you know New Nightmare is what Wes Craven wanted to be the first sequel?
I'm mad no review has shown the line "I'll see you in Hell."
"Tell em Freddy sent ya!"
Awesome Review!! Thanks Brad! Always love these!
Wow I didn't expect this until October. I hope he finish this series these coming weeks. 5,6 and new nightmare next please.
I grew up loving this movie, and still enjoy it immensely. So relieved you didn`t shit on it!
Part 4 has a great soundtrack. Anything Anything by Dramarama is an awesome song.
Talk about timing as I haven't slept since Sunday morning! Nice to see you bright and early (here in Washington at least) Mr. Jones.
Hotchie Motchie
ah Meet the Applegates, one of my earliest memories... I think my dad rented it from The Wherehouse when I was 3...
Jail, He's Back (The Man Behind The Burns) by Alice Cooper
1:33 au contraire my friend: The theme song for this movie was 'Love Kills' by Vinnie Vincent Invasion. Maybe that generic pop shit was put onto the DVD version because of copyrights, but I damn well remember this song. I even remember Robert Englund showing up on MTV as Freddy to promote the movie by doing an hour of horror music videos in 1988.
Omg omg omg!!!! A new Elm Street video!! Fuck yes! Thank you!!!!
“You ladies need the answers for the Trig finals? I’ve taken it a *bunch* of times.”
My favorite joke of this review lol
Keep em comin brad. You’ve made it a good week.
Such a weird time to upload... Brad, do you sleep?!
you can schedule uploads you know
He tried to sleep once, but then he remembered he had a midnight screening to get to. That was back in 2012, I believe. Man's been ticking ever since.

Aren’t you paying attention? There’s a murderer in your dreams!
I like 4 and I loved how they used the song anything anything.
"Somewhere there has to be porn of this".
Yay, it's Snob-o-ween in April!
I like this movie. (and all of them actually)
Best thing to come home after work: a hot shower, tasty chocolate and a brand-new Snob review. Hell, I can skip the chocolate, just as long as I get my dose of yummy Brad Snob-ness^^
that movie was actually a really advanced screening of Pleasantville
Thanks for the awesome birthday gift!
So glad you finally did it!!!!!!!!!!!
The dream master always been my favorite NOES along with the first movie, i dont know why but Freddy is so badass in this one, i like everything about the dream master
The scene with the soul pizza genuinely unnerved me.
