Nice one chops. I have my 1098s that’s a keeper. Also have a Gen 2 Busa with fully sorted onlins front/rear suspension and quick shifter. It’s a surface to air missile and I love it. Handles great.
I fell in love with that analogue dash instrumentation very early on. The only thing that I would prefer is shaft drive. That’s the only major change I’d make to a superbly engineered bike. The Busa reminds me a lot of a Kawasaki Z1R - big black velvet muscle bike.
The Hayabusa, the OG super nutter hyperbike, alas my knees couldn't do 400 miles in a day seeing as I'm old and knackered these days, great vid though Chops, a most enjoyable watch.👍👍👍🇬🇧
@ Baked Beanz on Toast I thought that too... (I'm 'old and knacked too) what you need is somewhere you really want to go or to see ....admittedly mine was only 320 something miles...or you could do 200 miles and stay the night :-) Which is pretty much what I do these days....
Great ride lads, I enjoyed your conversation about bike ownership and the number of bikes you’ve had during your riding days I myself am on bike number 21 and been riding for 35 years here in sunny Western Australia which is a great place to ride the wheels off them, 🇦🇺.
Just did a one day ride of 7.5 hours and 354 miles. I am 62 years old. I did lower the pegs because of knee issues. So far have had the bike a month and enjoy it.
Nice video. As an ex pat near Monaco and doing my full licence i can say you have way more fun roads in places in UK especially my native Scotland. The exeptions here are the route Napoleon and Verdon Gorge area which have good open curves. I hope to rent a motorbike next time I visit and do a highland mission!
A nice video looking forward to buy one in in December as a present for me on my birthday questions you could help me out if I buy how is the running cost of the bike like maintenance .
I like the long distance videos. I think they are great. Gotta go to cheddar gorge one day. Thanks for the content, looking forward to part 2. Take care guys.
Thanks guys, really enjoyed this and couldn't agree more with your opinions on these. I had one for a couple of hours and was so impressed with it. Would love to own one.
Haha, that’s funny. I did a distance test run on my bike and stopped in exactly the same spot at CG. Naturally a flat battery when I tried to head off. The test ride was for a solo tour which had mileages of 280, 330, 92 and finally 359 to get home. Awesome stretches but a fair amount of discomfort on my 125. Roughly hourly stops and a little walk help, as does paracetamol, lol.
Idk if you have ridden the zx14r yet but just asking if you did about the comfy comparison between the zx14r and the 2022 Busa ? Im saving to get one but still deciding which one to get. My heart leans towards the Busa though. Thank you.
The 1 gen HAYABUSA is the sportiest. Because it is the lightest(217kg) & peaky engine. The 2 gen and 3 gen are over 265 kg. The 1 gen is almost a racing machine.
So good!!! Nothing better than a motoring roadtrip with friends/family! And to add to that, great bikes and beautiful countryside! Feels like things are going back to normality slowly but surely! 😀😀😀
So wish I could justify buying one - loved (and owned) previous two versions and this has grown on me so much. On my Gen 1, I was going down M4 and there was a huge section with a 50 limit so reset fuel computer and got 72 mpg. Probably cost more in tyre wear. Contemplating selling the car :D
Great Video, great content! These bikes fulfill a philosophy of use. Living in the Western USA, with all the vast open spaces, void of traffic, miles of open road where you can see several miles ahead. I once owned a BMW K1200S and found myself loving these long wheelbase, large displacement sport tourers. 120mph felt like 55mph on a smooth stretch of highway and was commonplace. If the opportunity arose, I would love to stretch one of these out.
1200S. I never found out if this was true or just sales B.S., but I liked the potential comedy value in the excuse: '' I'm sorry officer, I was running low on fuel, and these do 56 mpg at 120 ''
Loved it what a great video And as nick mentioned doesn't matter what you ride as long as your enjoying the ride. Im even happy at 50mph plotting around. I love my aprilia srv and fuoco
grEEg & Chops; a great brunch of guys. Thanks for the video chaps. Good mix of touring banter, bike speak and history in the mix. As I couldn’t afford the latest iteration of the ‘Busa, I’d go for the previous gen’ or a ZZR1400 Kwacker for a GT bike. Looking forward to the next chapter.
I finally got a ride out on one after waiting a couple of months! Gotta say, all the memories came flooding back having owned a Gen 1 for 14 years! However, my hips and knees were killing me after an hour, one of the reasons I decided to part company in 2019! On the plus side, great engine and the dash is👌🏽, but I won’t be parting company with my cash, I’ll be keeping my H2SXSE, in my opinion it’s a far better bike and more exciting to ride too…. Good to hear you both chatting about all the older stuff, much like Greg, I’ve had shed loads of bikes since 1981, including several of the ones you mentioned👍🏽
Superb ...Really enjoyed, looking forwards to the next episode. I know the two bikes are built for altogether different puposes and not comparable , but as one single big bike is the Hayabusa a more" Do it all " bike , a more practical bike than the 2021 - Kawasaki zx10r ?
Your video editing skills are beyond anything I would be able to do. Great content throughout. I particularly enjoyed the chat about each of your backgrounds with bikes. I had a Honda MB5 when I was 16. Dreadfully slow and not as flash as the MBX or AR but my first bike, and some great memories. Good choice of bikes for the ride and some lovely shots from it. I liked the relaxed style. Now looking forward to the next episode 👍
I’ve had 2 Hayabusa’s 2010 and 2012, loved every minute and k that I had them best fun on Phillip island race track 7 sessions with California super bike school, best fun.

But for a fun toy I do have a ktm 690 smr I just purchased and have been watching your build on it. Just purchased a seat concept seat xl because I have a big bottom lol
@@markw5595 I have a 2021 ktm 690 smr for daily commute. It’s a blast of bike. Going to be adding programmer, intake amd tune soon this little single cylinder engine can produce 74hp and 66trq or so to the wheel for a 320lb bike
Agreed. I think since the drama of having ‘less power’ and the slightly less than revolutionary update, has died down. It’s a bike that, reading the comments at least have warmed to as an anti adventure bike. Plus, all these talk of less power. Pretty sure if you open it up all the way in 2nd / 3rd it’d feel as fast as a 1000.
Fun Factor of 🔟🙌🏻! The Dynamic Duo are back! Absolutely love these longer form videos and adventures! This was beautifully shot, cinematography and camera angles were top notch! As was this edit! thoroughly enjoyed this I’m excited for part two.✌🏻🔝🎬🆒

I loved the discussion about both your biking histories, it took me right back to my first bike (the RD200) right through all the Yamaha RDs air cooled and water cooled inluding the TZR, then onto bigger four stroke sports bikes but now as age is catching up rapidly a much more comfortable street triple R.
I don't think I've seen many references to the RD200. My first 'big' bike and it was awsome! I really wanted one of the new round tank RD250's but I think the parents were scared of how fast/radical it looked :) Did your electric start only work when it was hot too? @@AlMcLuckie No my electric start worked fine but a friend had the starting problem and his bike was recalled for a new starter to be installed, though it was nice to also have a kick start.

They sell lowering pegs
Epic ride and scenery!
Awesome riding 👍🏽 enjoy the chat between you guys on the big 1300!
Fab video Chops. Great content and Busa review. Great content from Greg also. Loved it.
Great video guys, well done. The Busa is a fantastic bike also.
Great ride lads, I enjoyed your conversation about bike ownership and the number of bikes you’ve had during your riding days I myself am on bike number 21 and been riding for 35 years here in sunny Western Australia which is a great place to ride the wheels off them, 🇦🇺.
Bikes look like a treat to ride. Great drone footage. 👍
I've been trying to decide whether or not to buy the new buds. This video has been the push I needed, thank you guys for that.
nice view ..nice bike,,i love hayabusa white
Just did a one day ride of 7.5 hours and 354 miles. I am 62 years old. I did lower the pegs because of knee issues. So far have had the bike a month and enjoy it.
Nice video. As an ex pat near Monaco and doing my full licence i can say you have way more fun roads in places in UK especially my native Scotland. The exeptions here are the route Napoleon and Verdon Gorge area which have good open curves. I hope to rent a motorbike next time I visit and do a highland mission!
Thanks Brian 👍
A nice video looking forward to buy one in in December as a present for me on my birthday questions you could help me out if I buy how is the running cost of the bike like maintenance .
Great work as always Chops. The new 'Busa is an awesome machine. :)
This made me a bit nostalgic seeing my old homeland of Mid and West Wales mate. Great video Chopsie. Cheers from Melbourne 👍
Really enjoyed that it’s nice just hearing the bike chat.
Having tested it for our channel, I can honestly say I think it’s a great bike
I like the long distance videos. I think they are great. Gotta go to cheddar gorge one day. Thanks for the content, looking forward to part 2. Take care guys.
I always thought cheddar gorge was too much cheese :) !!
Thanks John 👍
Thanks guys, really enjoyed this and couldn't agree more with your opinions on these. I had one for a couple of hours and was so impressed with it. Would love to own one.
Haha, that’s funny. I did a distance test run on my bike and stopped in exactly the same spot at CG. Naturally a flat battery when I tried to head off. The test ride was for a solo tour which had mileages of 280, 330, 92 and finally 359 to get home. Awesome stretches but a fair amount of discomfort on my 125. Roughly hourly stops and a little walk help, as does paracetamol, lol.
Another awesome video Chops. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Regards from Brisbane Australia..
Thanks Blade 👍
A pair of small exhausts would transform that bikes looks and sound. Nice video boy's and WHAT a fabulous looking breakfast 🥣
Thanks buddy 👍
So wish I could justify buying one - loved (and owned) previous two versions and this has grown on me so much. On my Gen 1, I was going down M4 and there was a huge section with a 50 limit so reset fuel computer and got 72 mpg. Probably cost more in tyre wear. Contemplating selling the car :D
Great vid, talking BASE jumps I once watched a protester for Tibetan independence launch himself from Nelson’s column 😳
Enjoyed that, colours are so vibrant in your film.
1200S. I never found out if this was true or just sales B.S., but I liked the potential comedy value in the excuse:
'' I'm sorry officer, I was running low on fuel, and these do 56 mpg at 120 ''
Loved it what a great video
And as nick mentioned doesn't matter what you ride as long as your enjoying the ride.
Cracking, look forward to the next vid👍
That looked like good fun . Great vid gents 👌🏼
Turbine smooth and the perfect dash , combined with all day comfort it’s a winner 👍
Yes absolutely agree Paul 👍
Thanks Damien 👍
I’ve had 2 Hayabusa’s 2010 and 2012, loved every minute and k that I had them best fun on Phillip island race track 7 sessions with California super bike school, best fun.
great video guys!
I had a 19 busa loved it but I’m taller guy and it just wasn’t comfortable to me so now I’m riding a slower bike lol Harley street glide but wife and I more comfort. But for a fun toy I do have a ktm 690 smr I just purchased and have been watching your build on it. Just purchased a seat concept seat xl because I have a big bottom lol
im 6 ft have 19 busa put some lighter cans on it put helibars on it with 20mm riser..perfect i can ride all day
@@markw5595 I had heli bars and risers as well and no luck for me unfortunately
@@markw5595 I have a 2021 ktm 690 smr for daily commute. It’s a blast of bike. Going to be adding programmer, intake amd tune soon this little single cylinder engine can produce 74hp and 66trq or so to the wheel for a 320lb bike
Gold around the clocks matches the black bike nicely .
Shame it's not the same on the silver and red busa.
Wee bit of red would have looked mint 👌
This was absolutely amazing Chopsy and Gregory 👌 what a story and a what a ride👍🏼
Thanks!
Thanks Laz 👍
The hayabusa has had a major revival to say the least…..love it
As was this edit! thoroughly enjoyed this I’m excited for part two.✌🏻🔝🎬🆒
Thanks Mike, didn't realise this was you're YT username 👍
I thought "Yey chops and womble back toge..........ohh mmm", then shuffled off muttering to myself.
@@LambChopRides Thanks Pal, ya it’s me. I’ve been stuck with this old YT user name from years ago. It’s different then my IG and Patreon user name. Keep up the fun shenanigans! Cheers 🍻
Didn't know Senior Gregorio is your brother in law, but what a great pair. Really enjoy and appreciate these comparos and it's quite nice to have multiple opinions in one go.
Thanks Joe 👍
When you choose a bursa it’s all down to the colour you get, the new version needs to offer more options but I’m sure that’ll come.
Absolutely brilliant
Can't wait till part 2
👍👍
Thanks Michael 👍
Well done Chops very nice drone and on bike shots
I loved the discussion about both your biking histories, it took me right back to my first bike (the RD200) right through all the Yamaha RDs air cooled and water cooled inluding the TZR, then onto bigger four stroke sports bikes but now as age is catching up rapidly a much more comfortable street triple R.
I don't think I've seen many references to the RD200. My first 'big' bike and it was awsome! I really wanted one of the new round tank RD250's but I think the parents were scared of how fast/radical it looked :) Did your electric start only work when it was hot too?
I never liked the Busa and went down the Blackbird route when it came time to get a big sports tourer, but now my 3rd Bird is getting old I'm liking this new Suzuki more and more. Test ride coming up I think.
@@AlMcLuckie No my electric start worked fine but a friend had the starting problem and his bike was recalled for a new starter to be installed, though it was nice to also have a kick start.
Good Lord your roads are narrow! Cut all that vegetation back. You guys are crazy. The white Tail deer around WI USA would get ya just about the time ya hit 70 mph and oh btw, great vid! Just like my male friends and I on our bikes. Believe it or not, I started on a Honda XL 75 and went through the Ninja’s the last being a ZX11. I now ride a tuned Yamaha Raider S a 1980cc big twin. I put on about 10,000 miles a season. Ride safe!!!!
Yeah, I tend to stay in town at night. Even I-94 between Madison and Milwaukee can be sketchy at night. Forget it on the country roads, which is most of them.
Had 7 busas they are the most refined bike for the road ..... been trying other bikes currently MT10 SP which is amazing but 59 this year and a gen 3 beckons
Great video has always John look forward to part 2 , will head up soon has living in Cornwall
V good video, think I prefer the black gold colour, nice to hear Greggs bike history, that boy has had some bikes
I will quit my job just to ride a bike with you guys
Great video Chops - looks a fun day out
Really enjoyed the video Chops and I can see why a Busa would be good for those type of journeys. I think you fell in love a bit with the Busa👍🏻
We certainly did 👍
@@LambChopRides when are you down West Sussex way? Give us a bell if your about 07747014156👍🏻
@@LambChopRides P.S fitting a Oberon Slave to the KTM Super Duke R after your recommendation👍🏻 Will be interesting to see what the difference is to the ease of clutch. Looks far superior to the original fitted.
Can’t wait to get one of these, test ride one and loved it, I’m on the sexy gsxs1000 at the moment😂
Great film, more adventures like this please
It def did generate some orders like you hoped it would, I would know cause this made me order one. Dark grey with candy red, they changed the silver to a dark grey which also looks incredible
I did 1000 miles in a day on my gen 2 ‘Busa. No issues whatsoever.
Brilliant! Great video again Mr Chops!!!
Great vid. I can recommend a beeline as a way of saving phone battery (as your screen stays off) for navigation. Plus you can leave your phone charging from an external battery in your bag if you want...
The chilliest sportsbike in the world... Not only for racing but touring bike.
Get mine in a week or so. Good review chops
How many batterys did you went through on the Gopros till you did the videos I wonder..
What drone? Most of all what music? Like the groove of it!
Lovely vlog Mr.Chops, Cheers for this, it made my day!
Cracking bike !
But I’ll stick to my old school 2020 ZZR 14 thanks
