Just love what they did with gen 3. Really smart, and it's still undeniably a Hayabusa. A perfect candidate for riser bars, dropped pegs and some nice luggage. A longer-range jet for the tarmac. Awesome.
Hi do you know of a link to any lowered pegs if they still exist? I’m sure Heli will do clip on risers. I put Givi hard luggage on my gen 1 and gen 2 Busa. I purchased a multi purpose fitting kit from Give which enabled me to fit my Wingrack off my old Blackbird, the only extra thing I needed was a length of m12 stainless threaded rod that I fit behind the reg plate to fix the to sections of Wingrack together. The set up was solid and easily carried 2 Givi panniers and a large Givi top box. Cheers
I had one of the original copper and silver ones back when they first came out in 1999 and I found that one really smooth and much nicer to ride than the TL1000R I had before. When I saw that they had brought it back with a 2021 spec and at £16.5k I must admit that I'm tempted, its a toss-up between this, the ZH2, H2 SX SE or Triumph speed triple 1200 RS all quite different I know so I'll have to get to the dealers to try them. As to what it's for.... mmm when I have the same question of my 2020 Rocket 3R, that's in a category all its own and I think the Hayabusa and its history is just one of those bikes that is the same. So maybe two odd balls in the same garage would go well together and roll on back to 1999 :-)
Welcome Mr Droid 👋 I haven't ridden then 1200 RS yet of course but out of the other bikes you listed the Busa would be my preference.. I actually think it's faster than the H2SX but not as quick as the ZH2. I thought the comfort was only slightly better than my H2 until I rode it Sunday and realised its like a comfy sofa in comparison and in a good way! It's a more rounded package than the ZH2 where suspension is the weak point. Go ride them all 😎👍

Hi fella thanks for the great review. I’m in the meerkat for a new bike. Previously [over a decade ago] I’ve had 2 gen 1’s and a gen 2. I’m between 6’2" - 6’3" depending on time of day and like you I found issues with high pegs on my knees on my previous Busa’s. I was however able to purchase some aftermarket pegs which were about 25mm lower and a little further back [i think]. Unfortunately I never got to do many miles before selling the bike so I don’t remember if the made much difference . Every review I’ve seen so far seem to rave about this gen 3 Busa and it’s gotten me excited. However I’m now 10 years older so at 60 I’m wondering how I’ll be impacted in my knees by the Busa’s high pegs. It will be interesting to see if those lowered pegs are still available. So back to the question, in the real world if this Busa were your only bike, would the high pegs cause you enough discomfort to irritate you or even put you off buying the bike? I’d really appreciate your input. Btw I live in the IOM and the Suzuki dealer does bot have a demonstrator that I could try. Cheers
Love the bike. Only thing thats pickling my head is the top yoke is raised from the forks. Can just imagine washing the bike and having to remove a puddle of water from there. Unless there is a little drain hole.

Great video Chopsie, back in 1999 I went for the Blackbird over the ‘Busa purely on looks and never regretted it. I did get to see 195 on the clock which was probably a lot lower in reality but more than most would’ve taken either bike to on UK roads. The one bike I wish that I’d kept.
My 2013 is just a solid bike. Maybe it's not the fastest, but close. Handling and ride comfort is excellent. The motor is almost bomb proof. At $11.500 USD I couldn't be happier even today!

As a long time Gen 1 owner my arms and shoulders tensed up in my office chair every time you launched! And yeah, it is sometimes tough to keep in the throttle on those runway rips with the grass on the horizon!
I had the 1st gen copper silver, upgraded the forks with progressive springs and race valves, installed a full titanium tri oval Yosh system, reduced weight wherever I could, and bugger all no one could beat me on the road, twisties and all, even with the misses holding on for dear life behind me. Those were the days. And I lived to tell the tale. Before the Busa, I'd never ridden a bike that could go from 80 to 160 in three breaths. I will say, I do like the look of the new bird. On a more personal note, to those who say you can't tour it, I rode mine from California to Utah, in the winter no less, and though I almost lost fingers and toes to frostbite (thank God for hotels with hottubs), I was able to do the impossible on a bike that was and still is incredible. I want the new one. Can I ride it to Mars? I'd like to try.
Excellent bike , it even tells you when you are leaning in case you had not noticed . Hope people realised that these engines have all been damaged by constant thrashing when they are sold on . I wish Mr. Chop would keep both hands on the bars , I can hardly bear to watch .
Just saw a video of this bike last night and now chopsy got a swing at it. This is awesome. I do like the black and orange color scheme. I have never had a chance to ride a busa but if it's similar to a h2 then I should be able to jump right into it then.
Good review and nice vid mate, thanks for that. You mentioned it doesn’t sit in a bracket, and who does it appeal to? This is clearly going to be an option for anybody who doesn’t track their bike much, wants something that handles well, modern electrics, doesn’t cost silly money, proper quick and can be ridden for a while without cramping up. So in other words the majority of riders. I really like it, but then I’ve always liked busa’s. The one thing by I can’t take my eye off is that weird bronze/copper colour, why didn’t they just black it all out as a nod to the gen 1 Z model? Can’t wait for the speed triple review, tempted to upgrade from my 06 speedy! Thanks again.
Great content as usual chops! One thing That would be great to add to your reviews is at the end if you say if you would buy or not with your own money and why
pretty much the first sportsbike actually fits ur size m8... starting to like it, reasonable price, roadpresence, no ADV, 2 massive stove pipes... sadly one can just load 28 a half stone on her, regarding the concept she is made 4 (that is about one a half chopsies... well nuff 4 u and Mavis tho)
if you could find the last year of production the "Kawasaki ZZR1400" that would be great! 2021 busa, vs last year of prod. ZZR1400 (2020) please find one to make the comparison video!!
As an ex Busa owner of 14 years and now an H2SXSE owner, is the new Busa a better bike than the H2🤔 Two up touring fully loaded on the H2 is effortless, on the Busa I’m not so sure... I’m going to demo one as soon as possible, but it’s gotta be one hell of a bike for me to part with my £16.5k and replace the stonking H2🤔😉
Great video Chopsy, Super gorgeous bike But its still not going to match the zzr1400 for power and speed, The ZZR1400 is a perfect Hyper Tourer, It's a bit like marmite some will love it some will hate it Unfortunately I'm team green all the way but would love to see a comparison against the big Z Ride safe buddy

How tall are you? I'm considering buying the 2024 Hayabusa and I'm 5' 11''
Excellent bike , it even tells you when you are leaning in case you had not noticed .
Hope people realised that these engines have all been damaged by constant thrashing when they are sold on .
I wish Mr. Chop would keep both hands on the bars , I can hardly bear to watch .
How did sywell let you loose on there? Been trying to get on there to max a car for years.
Just Great content
Love from Scotland 🏴
Great video sir! It’s not my cup of tea but the nostalgic part of me is happy to see the Busa still alive :)
Modern Motorcycle prices are so mad this seems a bargain for what you get an icon of utterly effortless massive performance.
Yes do agree 👍
Amazing 👍Hayabusa✅
It’s a beauty
Errr first of the hyper bikes? Blackbird? ZZR1100?
This channel is really nice love the production and content good luck
Another great review, as always. Dying to see a full on comparison between the H2 SX SE + and the new Hayabusa. Hopefully that's coming?
Great content as usual chops! One thing That would be great to add to your reviews is at the end if you say if you would buy or not with your own money and why
Im happy to see you are reunited with your son Fagan :D
Haha, unfortunately he was there two days before me!
@@LambChopRides awh, you get another chance soon to reunite with your long lost son.
Good stuff chopsy this or the h2sx se plus ?
I know this is an "older" video, but very informative!✌️👍
I agree with you about the Hayabusa is in it's own class. I would consider the H2 in a similar class.
Great video what an amazing motorbike 🏍😎👍🏻 looked like a great day fantastic really enjoyed it.
pretty much the first sportsbike actually fits ur size m8...
starting to like it, reasonable price, roadpresence, no ADV, 2 massive stove pipes...
sadly one can just load 28 a half stone on her, regarding the concept she is made 4 (that is about one a half chopsies... well nuff 4 u and Mavis tho)
if you could find the last year of production the "Kawasaki ZZR1400" that would be great!
2021 busa, vs last year of prod. ZZR1400 (2020)
please find one to make the comparison video!!
Hi Chopsy.....great review buddy.....you got it spot on fella....it’s aimed at guys like me👌🏻....old but gold😃
As an ex Busa owner of 14 years and now an H2SXSE owner, is the new Busa a better bike than the H2🤔
Two up touring fully loaded on the H2 is effortless, on the Busa I’m not so sure...
I’m going to demo one as soon as possible, but it’s gotta be one hell of a bike for me to part with my £16.5k and replace the stonking H2🤔😉
it won't even come close... that sweet supercharged 1L engine will allways kick the ass of a naturally aspirated engine.
How do you find the acceleration and torque compared to your H2?
Great video fast becoming my favourite bike reviewer. Real world use and a bit of craziness thrown in perfect!
Had a gen one in bronze when they first came out, shockingly fast 700 miles from a rear tyre 🙈
@@AndrasMihalyi shirley you mean 4000 🙄
@@AndrasMihalyi I was running it in 😂
An absolutely terrific review. Well done . Kind regards from Bonnie Scotland 🏴
Great video Chopsy, Super gorgeous bike But its still not going to match the zzr1400 for power and speed,
The ZZR1400 is a perfect Hyper Tourer, It's a bit like marmite some will love it some will hate it
Unfortunately I'm team green all the way but would love to see a comparison against the big Z
Ride safe buddy
The big Z is no more though 😢
Guess the H2SX is the one to compare with...
Enjoyed your enthusiasm Chopsie
well put together vid great review.
