@sen u would fly away with that amount of power the h2r doesnt even has 400 hp and yes, it is alot lighter even on a heavy ass busa u wouldn’t be able to put that power down
The definition of Busa has changed. It's comfortable and has got a character. I have ridden both the old and the new. The new is smoother and it is not about speed. It's a different package altogether.
Its gonna be ridiculously fast when it isnt neutered by Euro 5, excessively long intake runners, and a dog shit tune that closes the plates at high RPM.
A= full Power TC 1, LF1, QS1. Every setting over 3 is way too intrusive, especially LF (lift control). 3 is VERY safe, 1 is still safe (very different from the 1-8 calibration settings on a Ducati Panigale V4 for example). On the Hayabusa it interferes way more cuting power while illuminating the dashboard. Still, I bet he was on A mode, but for some reason, (buzz and views??), this day someone had a hard time rotating the right wrist.
You had 2 major flaws in your roll on tests; 1. Obvious rider weight differences. 2. Busa has much taller gearing, so in a roll-on with both bikes in the same gear, the Busa is much lower in the rev range and will have less power. Gen3 Busas are doing real well at the dragstrips, so we know it's no slouch. You need to do the head to head tests more professionally with both bikes in their peak powerband and same weight riders, I think you will see a significant difference. Still a fun video even though you messed up...
You make sense sir, but the point to yammie' s vid wasn't real world. It's a protest video. He obviously wasn't serious when he only used that 300lb wind sail on it to do those pulls. I'll point you to Chris Moore 's videos for you to see the new Genesis true potential. This bike can do 9.2s in the quarter mile. That front wheel would've been lifting if that Spite dude was really pushing. These guys were just goofing around to say they hate that Suzuki didn't increase the power output like what they wanted to see.
@@haydengrant8327 hi, yeah I've seen Chris Moore's drag vids with the gen3. Also, someone just posted a USA vid with a gen3 Busa doing official 8.90 second quarter mile, with extended swingarm and new exhaust. I would argue that Busa is as "stock" as Yammie's race tuned naked splat, probably more stock because that Busa doesnt have ECU mapping etc yet. Anyway I lost a lot of respect for Yammie and Spike this video, their reputation will go rapidly downhill if they keep doing this crap... 👎
@@LARGO125 yeah but even that is not a valid test. The Busa has real tall gearing, so with both bikes in 6th gear the naked squid is doing much higher RPMs and has more power available. Do do a valid roll-on you need both bikes starting in their optimal power revs.
Think you need to switch riders for the pulls. A stock 2022 busa runs 9.84 at 145mph Mv runs 10.5 at 135mph pretty big difference. Maybe Spite isnt that comfortable with the power of the bike.
What squid tryhard rubbish...if you want to compare two or more bikes make them all stock standard off the showroom floor otherwise spend the same amount of money and do the same mods on all of them. I’ve owned 4 Busa’s including a Gen 3 and done over a quarter of a million klms on them, also a ZX14R and ZX12R and the new Gen 3 is faster than them all and it’s 7hp down and 4kgs heavier than a Gen 2 and it will beat a Gen 2 in the quarter but over a bike length. I’ve destroyed MV’s of all sizes on my Gen 2’s and ZX14R and I can’t wait to come across a few on my Gen 3....bye bye MV 😂😂😂
Mind blowing that in 12 "same gear" races he gets beat everytime and never says wait a sec lets do another 45mph pull(clicks busa in 1st) Would like to see an equivalent tune nd exhaust on busa too
I completely understand the disappointment but it was a every enjoyable ride when experienced on it's own. The Gen 3 Busa felt great everywhere if you guys simply rode it without comparing it to the MV Agusta. The Busa is a comfortable highway mile muncher that can go pretty fast. Not blistering fast compared to others but it does it's job very well. I'm a Kawasaki fanboy but I do understand the evolution of the Hayabusa. It may not have lived up to it's legendary name in the modern world but I wouldn't say it isn't a great motorcycle. There's more than enough in it to have a really great time.
Friends tell you this comparison is not correct. Suzuki Hayabusa can reach 1st gear about 145 km per hour. At 2 speeds it reaches about 185 km per hour. MV augusta 800 no. So the comparison should not be of the same gear but of the same speed at which the engine is in the lowest possible gear. If you do this, I guarantee that the result will be radically different. With respect to what you do.
No offense to Spite but his body weight/ build is the audience that buys or is supposed to buy these. Like Yam said it’s for big dudes, always has been
@@leviasher1869 Exactly. This is supposed to handle the heavy big bois and still blow other bikes away. It's a complete and total failure. Just look at the stats.
I've always been a fan of the Busa's growing up. I currently own a Ducati V4S... and well.. Nothing else has really captured my heart the same way. Test drove a 2022 and its super comfortable and feels refined. Nothing will surpass the sheer power / abilities of the current super bikes / liter bikes. However, the Busa is a nice combination of street power and comfort that most liter bikes won't have with their race profile.
Lol my girlfriend heard spite say “ Awesome breaks, ABS…” and she said “ohhh I always wondered what ABS stood for” 🤦🏽 she really lives up to the blond stereotype.
On the dash you can see the number to the left of the gear indicator is 1, and to quote suzuki : "Mode 1 provides the sharpest throttle response and delivers maximum power." and the number to the left is traction control which is also set to the lowest level. That was the busa at its best
@@ruche4206 Spite also seems to have no idea how to actually race in a power band on almost every bike. Look at the RPM's.....insanely low. Switch riders and immediately see a difference.
With Spite on the 'Busa vs. Yammie on the MV, the Suzuki was nearly 300 lbs. heavier, with only 38 extra horses. It's not surprising that it was slower.
45 mph roll race? the busa belongs in 1st🙄 If they were gonna do something stupid as same gear roll races why didn't they switch riders to show the effects of rider weight🤔
Spite (240-ish lbs ) + Busa (599-600 lbs ) = literally a gold wing basically at an estimated 840 pounds. Yam (165 lbs) + Brutale Dragster 800 ( 368-369 lbs) = 534lbs. 840 - 534 = 306 pounds, or 1 1/4 Spites. You should have switched bikes. Spite on the Busa is over 300 pounds heavier than Yam on the MV. If the weight was more or less equal by putting the bigger rider on the lighter bike, the MV probably would’ve gotten ROFLstomped like you guys thought it would.
Question what mode was the bike in.. I owned a Gen II for 10 yrs putting on about 20k miles. The power output was vastly different depending on the mode i had it in. If i wanted to sip fuel eco mode which adjusts timing and fuel made a huge difference. The new Gen III Busa has multiple rider settings. From economy to track. Let us know, what mode it was in. I'm betting it wasn't in full track mode which will absolutely make a difference. Exhaust as you guys know definitely makes a difference and all the new smog restrictions on the new Busa doesn't help. Last thought, weight of course makes a difference. You guys mentioned that. Just saying if you line up two bikes with over a 200 pound curb weight difference and then add another 100 pound difference between riders that will make a difference as well. But having the MV walk the Busa seemed off. Definitely let us know what mode you did these role test in. I think the new bikes default to eco mode.
I would be curious to see the actual HP numbers of the Busa on a dyno. We all know it's choked off by Euro 5. Give it a pipe and a tune, maybe a gearing change THEN retest. Chris Moore didn't seem to have any problem pulling a 9 second 1/4 mile out of it so I'm sure the bike has potential.
I am on my 2nd stock Gen2 Busa and my advise to anybody thinking of buying a Busa, don't let this flawed vid put you off. I am 61 years old from Scotland, UK. This bike is much more than a straight liner. Get yourselves fit and flexible and adjust the standard suspension settings biast slightly towards sport. Definitely as the Americans say a canyon carver . Awesome motorcycle!🇬🇧🏴
You gotta remember that Spite actually adds +75lbs to these comparisons relative to Yammie... which in this case makes the Busa "277 lbs heavier" than the Dragster.
It’s actually sad that the big displacement bikes don’t progress the way they should. Back in the early 00s these things made all other bikes pointless in a straight line race.
Because it’s a small niche market and with the EU safety and emissions laws there’s no way to justify the R&D costs on something like that. We are lucky to get the few big bore bikes we do get.
In all honesty, they don't push it to further because it is too far already. You want morte power than a gen 2 for what ? Some in the comments say that the new busa NEED a turbo.... have they ever been on a turbo busa?
So this was a very interesting yet inexperienced way of testing the 2 bikes. First you have a heavier rider on the heavier bike which only makes the power to weight ratio worse than it already was. You should have switched riders on the bikes and retested. Next thing is doing anything outside of a 1st or 2nd gear pull proves absolutely nothing because at that point you're at the mercy of the gearing on the bike. Last but not least, the new Busa was probably not in the correct mode and if you have TC or lift control on, the bike is about 3-5 tenths slower. So if you really want to do a good comparison just switch riders first and then turn off the TC and LFT and 100% the outcome would be different and not even close.
Very impressive performance from the MV and a definite disappointment for the Busa….but in defense of the Busa, it’s gearing is probably much longer so dictating both bikes start in the same gear gives an advantage to the MV….also Spite weighs considerably more than Yam, if you switched riders, Yam on the Busa would have walked away from Spite
I feel a little stupid for not considering the gearing difference between the Busa and MV, that’s not to say the Busa’s performance against the MV definitely looked disappointing. It would however be interesting if the gearing etc could be calculated to be more comparable. If the Busa still ate MV rubber then I’m going to have to sell my gen 3.
Was the rider mode in sport? Does the new busa even have rider modes? And was wheelie control and traction control off? There’s so many questions I have, I refuse to believe that the 22 busa is this slow
It's not slow. It's just that the MV 800 is a missile. Even standard it's 140 hp which for an 800 is phenomenal. Chopsy in the UK tested one and he couldn't believe how fast it was. Forget your MT09 and KTM 890, this 800 RR MV [Brutale or Dragster] is an absolute weapon.
I know this is an old video but I own a 2022 Busa and I absolutely love it. It’s in no way slow to me. It’s like you really haven’t put much thought into what you’re saying. I don’t want or need the kind of Busa that you imagine. This is perfect, again for me. I ain’t hating, I just don’t watch your videos since this one. This will keep right on selling so you and people who believe like you can keep on hating
Take the MV to quarter mile and run low 9s times and i believe its that fast, otherwise i say these guys messed up the test ride and did not know what they were talking about, the weight is not as big issue as people think when there enough torque
My gen 2 custom Yoshi tuned engine full race Yoshi exhaust all genuine busa nuts bolt so many custom parts the love off my life even number plate is private and very funky allways wanted a busa and waited a long time to own mine
I have the exact bike. Wide open, that front wheel should have been hopping...with anti wheelie mode activated, it cuts the power EVERYTIME it tries to wheelie causing significant power loss. Bone up on the settings and try this again!
The squid walk was like 80% of my friends that enlisted in the military after high school. They got either a ninja, a GSXR, or a Busa, and rocked that backwards baseball cap, kaki cargo shorts, sandals, and sunglasses on them too. They usually bought them with their sign on bonuses out right. Lol
I had a Gen-1 Busa back in '03. Fell in love with it back then and I'm still in love with it. It's still the coolest looking sportbike on the road. I'll buy another this year and just turbo it. I always wanted a turbo Busa anyway.
See, this right here is why I still love my '20 zx14. It's still pretty old school (technology wise) but still has all the meat on the bone. I was initially worried when I heard about the gen3 busa coming out, but this puts my mind at ease. Side bar: I doubt my 14r could run with most new liter bikes either, but it's so much more comfortable that I don't mind swallowing my pride on that note.
I was hoping to trade my 14R for a modernized Hayabusa. Not even close. 14R still is the #1 fastest bike in the quarter mile stock, even with modern liter bikes. And of course, who has a stock 14R??
My zx14r made 196 HP at the rear wheel with a ECU flash and a full single sided exhaust system. There isn't a Japanese 1000cc that could touch it other than a H2. I personally tested it as my buddy had a GSXR1000 with a ecu flash. And my other buddy had a modern R1. They weren't even close.
Was really hoping I could upgrade from my ZX14R to get launch control, cornering ABS, stability control and a quick shifter. Guess I’ll be sticking with my Kwai
its not just the 27:50 power to weight. its mostly what rpm your rolling. does it grip the power torq band. the MV is roling more in the powerband than the busa. busa got such long gears for smooth riding. doing gear pulls is known to be kindanoobisch for comparing speed. Doing a roling start, match the gear that fits the torq. then pull off from that speed.
If we can get Yammie and Co. 1 million subscriber before the 69th Yamcast, I would really appreciate it - I would like to cringe and snort while laughing at some fan fic

@@prkic2 I believe the 14r would always beat it but not smoke it. The 2022 busa looks super slow. A mid tier naked bike was giving it problems. Just sayin 🤷🏾
@@brandonbender5359 umm, the naked beat the Busa, as it was not in its power-band. The gearing on the Busa is very tall, wherein the gearing on the naked is very short. So, the naked was fully in its power-band, while the Busa was not. And the rider on the Busa weighs quite a bit more, as well.
I honestly don't know what they expected to get with a 300lb ape who makes himself as aerodynamic as a parachute at the back of the space shuttle and winds the throttle like he's riding a Harley, to really achieve in those short burst speed comparisons. I thought that at some point Yammie was going to exchange bikes and they try the same roll on races like what they would normally do with other bikes. Wow, what an extent to go to just make the point that he is disappointed that Suzuki didn't increase the power output. The power of owning your own channel, you get to make a half hour long protest video relative to your own perspective.
So, guys, as an actual dad, and one who is about to turn 60 in November, I think I would love a Gen 3 to take as a sport touring bike! I got to ride one at an IMS event and my first thoughts were, “F*** YEAH! That’s how a bike should make you feel! But then, I’ve been riding an SV650 for four years (my first bike).
I'm sure an ECU tune would bring out a bunch more horsepower. However that is now illegal in California (unless you go through "Executive Order" compliance testing). In a few years you'll be lucky if a Hayabusa puts out 40 hp.
Definite weight difference but also higher gearing ratio difference in each gear gave this result. A little unfair to compare even though appear gear-to-gear match for a bike set up to achieve a much higher top speed. Possibly something like a 5000rpm to 5000rpm starting engine point would have partly equalised putting bikes in a similar engine performance starting position. You should also have swapped bikes to remove any doubt about body weight penalties.
Very soon… have patience. The right people are on it. There is a lot of money to be made with an unlocked busa (aftermarket business sales) I am waiting until it is fully flashed and there is a nice selection of parts / mods to buy a new one.

The days of Hentai Hornet are no more, the revolution is coming, and you all are not ready.

Raced a 2021 stock ZX10 with my stock 2021 BUSA from 40 mph in 2nd. He jumped a couple of bike lengths and I sky walked him at 150-170…. Something not right here…Just my experience
@sen u would fly away with that amount of power the h2r doesnt even has 400 hp and yes, it is alot lighter even on a heavy ass busa u wouldn’t be able to put that power down
@@someone-qn3ew - and it was good.
The definition of Busa has changed. It's comfortable and has got a character. I have ridden both the old and the new. The new is smoother and it is not about speed. It's a different package altogether.
It's still scary fast!!!!
@@jasontomica8938 just bought a 2022 1340. yep still very very fast.
Yes, it's about the package and not racing other riders.
Waiting for the turbobusa is like waiting for my dad to come back from the gas station 20 years ago..
Milk or Cigs?
Its gonna be ridiculously fast when it isnt neutered by Euro 5, excessively long intake runners, and a dog shit tune that closes the plates at high RPM.
Sounding exactly like a Harley bro
Seeing zx14r has same restrictions, and destroys the Busa.... Suzuki needs to step it up.
2 years later, bro was right.. tuned and with light mods are ridiculously fast.
You need to remove the euro 5 specs
I love how he just rode the busa with shorts and flip flops like a squid 😂😂 (in the intro )
Clearly he’s in C mode on the Busa. The rpms are barely moving. I have a 2022. It’s waaay faster than this 🤦♀️
B mode = 600cc equivalent, C mode = 1000cc equivalent per goog
Mode?
@@jims6274 A - Full power all the time, B- Below 5k lower power (cruise mode) above 5k - full power, C - Lower power (cruise mode) all the time.
You had 2 major flaws in your roll on tests;
Let's see them roll on at top gear from 100mph.
Like yammie said in the freaking real world.
I have a '20 ZH2 and it's the best bike I've ever owned. I'd love to ride the new Hayabusa, but I think I'd just be disappointed after owning the Z.
Mind blowing that in 12 "same gear" races he gets beat everytime and never says wait a sec lets do another 45mph pull(clicks busa in 1st)
Would like to see an equivalent tune nd exhaust on busa too
I bet spite is around 12sec in the 1/4 on this busa because "NOT THAT FAST"🤣
Stop matching gears and put the bikes in their respective powerbands when roll racing.
Same thought. That MV has a way shorter gearing then the Busa
They really are not smart enough.
I'm not even a busa boi, but part of me hopes modding can give life to Gen III
It needs a diet most.
The real legend is the vocals from Yam and Spite. Please use this in every Busa-centric vid. Legendary
I like how you match gears like they have the same ratios.
There is easily a 300lbs difference between the 2 with body weight.
Yep. Not to mention the Brutale Dragster is hardly a “normal” motorcycle.
No offense to Spite but his body weight/ build is the audience that buys or is supposed to buy these. Like Yam said it’s for big dudes, always has been
Also with how hard Yam was pulling he still woulda Dog walked the Busa
@@leviasher1869 Exactly. This is supposed to handle the heavy big bois and still blow other bikes away. It's a complete and total failure. Just look at the stats.
Just the power to weight ratio of the bikes, the win goes to the MV. Roughly 2.75 lbs per hp for the MV. And 3.2 lbs per hp for the busa.
I will own a busa before I die.
Same. Gotta be turned into a Busa dad.
Huh, it's almost like the gearing is different and the rpm you are at matters more than the gear you are in 🤔
It’s cray cray how long it’s taking to get to 1 million. Do y’all really not want to see the turbo busa content?!? 🤯
Lol my girlfriend heard spite say “ Awesome breaks, ABS…” and she said “ohhh I always wondered what ABS stood for” 🤦🏽 she really lives up to the blond stereotype.

They had the bike in RAIN MODE. Motorcyclist Magazine got 9 second quarter mile times out of it...stock.
Did they really? Is there a time stamp in the video where that was evident?
On the dash you can see the number to the left of the gear indicator is 1, and to quote suzuki : "Mode 1 provides the sharpest throttle response and delivers maximum power." and the number to the left is traction control which is also set to the lowest level. That was the busa at its best
Lift control
@@ruche4206 Spite also seems to have no idea how to actually race in a power band on almost every bike. Look at the RPM's.....insanely low. Switch riders and immediately see a difference.
@ruche4206 Mode A is the most aggressive. Only time you should see a number 1 is in user mode. It's also top center of the tft
With Spite on the 'Busa vs. Yammie on the MV, the Suzuki was nearly 300 lbs. heavier, with only 38 extra horses. It's not surprising that it was slower.
Not to mention a much heavier rider.
Enough about the horses. What about the elephant who was sitting on it?
45 mph roll race? the busa belongs in 1st🙄
If they were gonna do something stupid as same gear roll races why didn't they switch riders to show the effects of rider weight🤔

@@stablehuman8551the Busa goes about 100 in first. Why would it be in second for a roll on race at 45mph? Stupid.
Wow, Popa Yam totally changed my plans on getting this bike😢
Re-record now
Yeah bc most guys who buy busas definitely aren't of larger stature already...
Exactly
no excuses the busa has almost 600 cc more and definitely more aerodynamic
@@MVAGO112 300 pounds is still a lot of weight to overcome, everything else aside
I bet the MV has significantly shorter gearing, and hence would be higher in the rev range for each gear.
About the same as the GSX-R1000 sadly. There's all kinds of videos dyno'ing them.
A lot of change for a 20k bike
@@dsiz9421 I agree
I am on my 2nd stock Gen2 Busa and my advise to anybody thinking of buying a Busa, don't let this flawed vid put you off. I am 61 years old from Scotland, UK. This bike is much more than a straight liner.
Get yourselves fit and flexible and adjust the standard suspension settings biast slightly towards sport. Definitely as the Americans say a canyon carver . Awesome motorcycle!🇬🇧🏴
I love these damn skits you guys do now
You gotta remember that Spite actually adds +75lbs to these comparisons relative to Yammie... which in this case makes the Busa "277 lbs heavier" than the Dragster.
@@Damiv leave it to the EU to ruin things. Not surprising
@Massimo Hack Kawasaki didn't get that memo tho.

In all honesty, they don't push it to further because it is too far already. You want morte power than a gen 2 for what ? Some in the comments say that the new busa NEED a turbo.... have they ever been on a turbo busa?
Welp. At the end of the day we'll always have Ghostrider's 500 hp turbo busa
Well that thing actually looked good
It really looks like a smooth sweet ride, like it does everything you need, minus the weight.
OMG! That intro was absolutely epic. You guys absolutely nailed it, and it couldn’t have been a more perfect Yammy Noob intro. 😅😂🤣
I’m 60 years old , been riding bikes since 1975 . Went through 1&2 generation Busa and just got me a 3d generation , Busa for life !
Ya'll should've swapped bike, you also had the "thic" rider on the busa, and the skinny boy on the 800.... which didn't help your power/weight ratio.
537th, the number of ponies a hayabusa should have
Got old Busa 2007 still
Ok
Was the rider mode in sport? Does the new busa even have rider modes? And was wheelie control and traction control off? There’s so many questions I have, I refuse to believe that the 22 busa is this slow
It's not slow. It's just that the MV 800 is a missile. Even standard it's 140 hp which for an 800 is phenomenal. Chopsy in the UK tested one and he couldn't believe how fast it was. Forget your MT09 and KTM 890, this 800 RR MV [Brutale or Dragster] is an absolute weapon.
It is not. Last week at the track there was stock (exhaust only) 2022 busas slaying the 1/4 mile.
My buddy just had his 2021 zx10 finally unlocked and OMG night and day difference. Stock ecu just was garbage

Gee! I feel so much happier that my potentially lesser motorcycle is now better, since it's competition sucks! Go me!
It’s always been a superior bike
My zx14r made 196 HP at the rear wheel with a ECU flash and a full single sided exhaust system. There isn't a Japanese 1000cc that could touch it other than a H2. I personally tested it as my buddy had a GSXR1000 with a ecu flash. And my other buddy had a modern R1. They weren't even close.

Was really hoping I could upgrade from my ZX14R to get launch control, cornering ABS, stability control and a quick shifter. Guess I’ll be sticking with my Kwai
You can, this was a bullshit comparison. Others have already pointed out the gearing difference and the Busa being in the wrong gear to roll race.
its not just the 27:50 power to weight. its mostly what rpm your rolling. does it grip the power torq band. the MV is roling more in the powerband than the busa. busa got such long gears for smooth riding. doing gear pulls is known to be kindanoobisch for comparing speed. Doing a roling start, match the gear that fits the torq. then pull off from that speed.
