Chris Northover is by far the best motorcycle journalist and tester. He knows how to give you the actual information you need to know about the bikes without declaiming the manufacturer's same stuff as other motorcycle journalists do. Also, he is funny and charismatic just a joy to watch his reviews.

Top comment in that it makes 110mph feel like 50mph. I bought my first Busa in 2001 and thats exactly the reaction I had then. I couldn't believe how fast I was actually going. Fortunately, I also couldn't believe how fast the brakes stopped the bike, otherwise I would have definitely been in the bushes on the first ride. Good to hear it still has that same impact.

Great review and totally on point. I have a 2013 'Busa after having owned several sport bikes. It gives you the thrill of speed like a sport bike, but it's larger and more comfortable. When I ride with my small group, we typically do 400-500 mile days, which is no problem. It corners MUCH better than people think, especially with some sticky Dunlop Sport Max tires. If wind buffeting (and the law) weren't a concern, you really could ride this bike at 120-140 mph all day long. I've owned quite a handful of bikes in my life, but the 'Busa is by far my favorite. It does everything well.

@@Showmetheevidence- Nothing wrong with Carburetors my friend. All the best bikes in history had them and most are worth a fortune today.
These modern bikes won't be collectable, rather more like white goods. They look shit, out of proportion and lack the soul the older gen bikes did.
These rider aids are a bad thing too. Doesn't allow you to learn to ride properly without all this Nanny State controls kicking in.
I would bet money someone who never got to ride an older bike, say from the 90's, who only rode a modern pussy bike, would most likely kill themselves on the older bike.
We never had traction control, ABS, lift control and all that other malarkey. We learned to ride like Men.
My 2001 ZX9R is a Carburetor bike, with no rider aids and it's a joy to ride.

5:48 Perfect description. I own a matte silver/candy red one and that's how I feel about it. It's not like my '06 ZX-10R, which always feels anxious and on the verge. It's not a calming ride at all.
The new 'Busa is nice even going slow and doesn't feel boring. It's such a different vibe. Warp speed is available at any moment, but it's not required to have an enjoyable ride.
The Ninja going slow always tempts me to go fast. It's such a contrasting experience, always teetering on the edge of suspense in any gear.

A proper mental bike for a proper mental rider, with enough selfcontrol not to be a lunatic. You obviously fit the requirements to ride one of these mate! :) Bang on review, enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing the passion.

Makes my old 2001 'Busa seem "a touch" crude. I could have used some of those electronics back when I owned it.
Nice bike, great test, as always. My go-to favourite bike channel/bike tester, hands down.😎

Great review. The child in me (at 69 years old) really wants a Hayabusa, .... but my knees say no thanks. My current bike's a '88 Katana 1100 where the riding position looks pretty similar and the steep bend in the knees with me being 6'1" feels too cramped at times. I think I'm almost at that adventure bike age now. ;)

I like this Hayabusa motorcycle. I've got a Yamaha Stryker and switching over to a gsxs1000f this year because its an upright sporty standard. This Hayabusa is definitely a fast machine, hope I could take one out for a spin, and end up buying it
